In regards to trends, I’ve always thought it weird to ‘wait’ for trends nowadays. With social media you can almost be guaranteed that someone is wearing what you want to wear or are already wearing so the idea of waiting for something to be in style just seems odd. People should be allowed to be themselves 100%, not some fetishised ideation the media uses to pander to us and pretend to be 'woke' for. Race should not be a trend. Being slim was attractive because it always is but black and Hispanic women were celebrated for having curves then as they are now. Warhol embracing of Pop Culture as fine art was a scandal - not to mention his full embracing of capitalism (studio assistants silk screened his Marylin’s - he didn’t paint them. Thereby “mass-producing” fine art - another major scandal) that he was merely expressing opinions on beauty ideals for us to attain is a complete misreading and actual reversal of the message. Remember that his muse Edie was the skinny girly opposite to Marylin’s voluptuous womanhood.
