Especially seeds you collect from your own garden, i get a 100% germinatiom. While i spend lots of money on seeds bought from seed suppliers most of them don't germinate.
As a mom of 5 and a preschool teacher living in the suburbs, I've been afraid I would never really be able to get my homestead off the ground. After falling into a deep mental and emotional funk last summer and fall, I started winter sowing some seeds for my 2024 garden. I stumbled onto your videos and started climbing out of my dark place one day at a time. One small task at a time I learned to make sour dough in November. I planned my garden and made a seed order in December. I grew lettuce and radish inside in Jan. February I was outside on sunny days prepping garden areas and planning layouts. Now it's early March and I have onion, asparagus and celery starts sprouting on my table...I have broken free from the trap I was stuck in for years and I feel like I am starting a whole new life for my family in 2024. Thank you for being a part of helping me find my freedom and happiness. ❤️ You guys set an awesome example of how real people who are flawed and tired and normal, can raise a family who is healthy and bonded in a slower paced life style. Just have to let go of the things that aren't serving you anymore and lean on the things that are. Thank you. Thank you! P.s. As an Australian I always find it funny the little differences between us and Americans. We pronounce the H in herb so we would say “there’s A herb for everything” keep up the good content, I’m glad I found ur page, love the way you explain things so easily. 👍🏻

My cucumber and squash seeds are covered with water bottle tops and bottoms. When those run out I collect large twigs and stick them in around each exposed seedling like a TEEPEE. Both works awesome. 👍
We’re in the U.K. and about to start sowing. We’re using a propagator and a grow light as the days here are still short + we are still getting some freezing temps at night (zone 8b). You’re right, sowing and reaping is partnering with the Lord ❤
I love your videos. No one gets me more motivated to get outside and work my little garden. We live in town so just doing what little i am allowed at yhe momment. Fought the city and got chickens legalized here this year so my chickens are coming tomorrow!! I also started school for holistic nutrition this year at 32 🥴. But between what im learning in class and what i see ypu guys doing i am more motivated than ever to make these healthy changes for my family. Keep doing what you're doing!
Love the intro the "farm" is so beautiful!. My favorite part of veg growing is seed starting. I turned this ugly (very) old sad excuse of a sun room (it's 7 x 8.5!) into a greenhouse. I didn't have the money to rip it off and replace and make a nice living area, so I just repaired the windows (seal and paint) and reinforced the wall boards to start out and added 3 sets of shelves and hanging hooks. Now after more years than I ever expected to get out of my "greenhouse" it has become a neighborhood fixture, the kids all come see what I'm growing, how, etc..and it's a conversation starter with everyone. I love it. I am the container recycler though. What I do is each different kind of container is a different "crop"..it works. really it was supposed to be a recycling project for my kids and it stuck, I just wash and stack up the containers. The kids sell the extra plants for their extra money and also sometimes the vegetables, it's cute. I have counted on average 2,000 plants! I really enjoy the journey of growing good food.
Since I'm two zones south of you, I'm busy up potting my tomatoes. This year I'm only starting my tomatoes and peppers early. I'm trying butternut squash for the first time this year and hope the bugs don't wipe them out. God bless y'all and keep growing.
I've learned to wait about 3 weeks beyond the normal start date for planting squash. By that time most of the squash vine borers have moved on to other gardens and aren't as likely to lay eggs on my squash plants.

I don't know if it will help (I'm not an athlete) but I figure it can't hurt to give my body a chance to have everything it needs as I'm healing from an injury. I’m a long time Gardner and start my cucumbers, squash, egg plant, leeks and many more indoors and I agree larger started plants cope with spring weather better.
Thanks sharing this educational video, I'm actually glad I came acrossed it because over the winter I started my seeds in my basement and was disappointed. Lost all my cabbage, onions, bush beans and squash 😢
Worked for an organic garden shop and egg cartons work great because they decompose so when they get transplanted u can just cut them up and theres less disturbing of the roots
A good tip is to also check what zone you are in, in your state to see what grows best in that zone. Test your soil (you already did that video). Marigolds are also a good bug repellant. I'm really glad I found your channel. I really like the way you put them together. BTW, no hats at the dinner table.
Where I live time zones no longer mean anything. Due to a changing climate, even if you don't believe in.....God said it would happen, my area has gone wacko weather wise. Keep a log so you can adjust your plantings and such

Regarding seed saving. Maybe this will help someone... I found it really confusing at first, but I bought a really handy book by Jude and Michel Fanton, which is titled, the The Seed Savers Handbook. I have been home gardening for close to a decade, but the last few years we moved onto more land and now are getting heavy into it. It helps to also print off a cross pollination guide, which has a table of vegetables and then it will list the family and what they can potentially cross with. It helps you decide what to plant with what, if you intend to keep seeds.
nasturtiums is one thing we always plant outside. They take forever to germinate - they do eventually come up. And it's a great flower to save seed from never have to buy again.

Did you know you can clip any extra seedlings off at the ground level instead of pulling them so you do not risk root damage if your seedlings are tangled together in the soil. I love all the info you guys share.
The prettiest flower I think, or one that sticks out and you will remember is the Rose Peony. Please just look at them on line and see if you agree. They are very sensitive to get started, but after you have them established they will come back year after year from my memory I am sure you can start them from seeds also, because they would be expensive to buy otherwise is my guess. They dont get very tall at all, but just so nice, soft fern leaves, and so pretty is the small rose flower itself.
I had dill seeds as part of a pollinator flower mix and they came up beautifully and I was able to use them for pickles. The key is the soil has to stay moist. I got some trailing nasturtiums for our rock wall! They are gorgeous!
My basement is mostly underground and it stays roughly 69 degrees all year round with a space heater. I use a 2x4 grow tent with ventilation and small wire racks (heater is also pointed at the inline fan inlet) and it is nearly packed. It's my seed-start dream come true! Basements can be an exception... Love the wealth of information you share!

Thank you for a great video! I love doing all my seedlings I need for my garden, probably 75 percent. All the rest I directly sow and I love seeing those that are doing big gardens that I am doing something right. With you living in rural Ohio I had a brother that llved in in rural Iowa that was in a similar situation and did as you did and grew way too many starts and he eventually would set up a little roadside spot where he would sell them and would make close to $1500 in just a couple of months doing it. People loved coming to him year after year because they knew that they were getting great quality plants as compared to big box stores.

Nasturtium seeds are easy to save. Nasturtium are a trap crop that I use. I also plant radishes with my zucchini and other squash. It helps with the squash bugs, from my experience. I overwintered carrots and saved the seeds. Wow, didn't expect that many seeds...lol. Sowing those seeds soon. Trying oxheart tomatoes and a couple others this year. Wishing your family an abundant harvest this year.

MI Gardener is now selling some Boot Strap Farmer products. I have no connection, I was just excited because I order seeds from them. I don't have heat mats, so I pre-germinated peppers last year with a damp paper towel, in a baggie on top of my hot water tank. It really speeds up the process. Just make sure to check frequently to make sure it doesn't dry out & to watch for germination.
great info Ive learnt with Nasturtiums that if you nick or score the seed before planting they sprout a little faster, there great for eating to both the flower and leaves, you'll love them x
I stick my nasturtiums in a hanging basket on the ends of my garden cuz they get so big and long and take over the bed corners lol so I get a little bit more room and you can see the pretty colors a little higher ♡

Itried nasturtiums the last two years and they didn't germinate. I learned that they have a hard time germinating with that hard shell and it helps to clerk the shell. I have several that have popped up, I'm so excited.
Yay for spring coming! It’s already here in my neck of the woods. Was able to direct sow my pole beans a couple days ago and they’re germinating! My tomatoes are growing in the greenhouse and almost ready to come outside and get potted up. So excited! Oh and I got all my potatoes planted around Valentines Day. They’re starting to sprout up as well. It’s getting into the 80’s here next week (and got to 85 last week). I’m making all the plans for planting out my squash, cucumbers, melons, more beans, corn, sunflowers and all the things. So much fun! My peppers are slow to germinate (I’m still waiting on several and planted them nearly a month ago!) but I’ve got lots of shishitos, 2 jalapeño plants, 1 bell pepper (that’s disappointing, we use tons of bell peppers so I’ll have to replant) and 4 eggplants going. I just never know what going to germinate well or not! My onions I grew from seed and planted them last fall and overwintered them as they’re short day onions. Growing them from seed is so satisfying! I wish I’d done it sooner. I did buy plant starts for thyme, oregano and rosemary because after several years of trying I never even got one of those seeds to germinate even with following all the directions and advice. So I just grabbed them at Lowes lol. 😂 Now the challenge is keeping them alive. I have no problem growing basil, parsley, dill, and coriander (cilantro) but those three perennials just elude me! Now I have them and transplanted them into my GreenStalk and they’re thriving. So far so good. I’m loving the gardening content and look forward to more. It’s funny to see how others grow in different climates. So interesting how differently things grow in different areas. Like here I can grow luffa (loofah) like easy peasy whereas up in Canada it’s a big challenge. Now I’m understanding why certain foods are so popular here in the south. They’re easy to grow here. 😂Duh. 🤦🏻♀️Here I have a hard time growing tomatoes in summer which i thought was weird. Everything burns up in our summer heat here - except those few heat loving crops. Summer here is like winter up north. 🤷🏻♀️
I am terrible at seed starting. Now i start tomatoes by saving a couple in the fridge. Mush up the tomatoes and plant in a few pots. Thin out and you have tomato plants.
We’re getting to Xenia the second week of April and won’t have time I fear for my seeds and will have to use starts. But I kept a note of where you go in hopes I can get them there.
I started covering my cucumber and zucchini seeds with clear 18 oz cups after planting them in the garden. I have mini-greenhouses to keep the seeds protected and moist. Your produce containers would work as well.
I used to make my own potting soil but buying it got alot easier. I'm back to making my own because of $$. We had the windbreak trimmed and I kept all the chips. We have a monster pile of chips. The neighbor has a 300 ft x 5' tall pile of aged manure. Our trimmer who is an arborist said a local greenhouse takes all the chips he makes and has a great recipe for compost. (Your compost looks good!) A greenhouse guy recently told me that certain companies are beginning to add crap to their mixes and still raise prices. I ran out of my bulk buy of MG potting soil. The big 2 cu ft bags. I had to buy a smaller bag just to start some slow growing herbs. The 2 year old yellow MG bags were good. The latest had big branch pieces and junk where I had to screen out a bunch of junk. Sign of the times I guess. I like using the old berry containers for starting. Great idea!! :-)
Good stuff. I plant the dill in a row and sprinkle thickly and cover with about 1/2 inch of soil. When it comes up and is about 4 -6 inches high, I start cutting some for the freezer. The rest I let go to flower so that it is ready for when the cukes are ready - I use the flowers and like them yellow when its time to make dills. Got some Jimmy Nordello peppers to try this year...will see..lol. Good job!
This was SO helpful!! To see that you use ONE grow light with the size of your garden is so helpful. Every seed starting video I’ve seen has a whole setup with multiple racks of multiple sets of grow lights and that’s been discouraging to think I need to put that much money down to start a garden. (I know it’s an investment but still 😂) This has encouraged me to buy just one and start there! Thank you again.
I've tried starting cucumbers and squash indoors and they just seem to shock or stunt growth when transplanting. For me direct sowing they are much healthier. I also have to keep covered for a while so the critters don't eat them. I use a plastic liter soda bottle cut in 1/2 and holes in the bottom 1/2 for air flow and place over the seeds. Great content.

I tried Amish Paste tomatoes this year but they didn't seem to be quite as big as yours. But I was given some Afghan variety beefsteak and they are perhaps the sweetest tomatoes I've ever seen.
Try marigolds in the same beds as cukes and squash. I've never had any pest issues when I do this. Just a couple here and there is enough. My peppers aren't germinating well. Thanks for saying they are finicky...now I don't worry I did something wrong ❤
It's funny you mention about trying to start cucumbers and squash inside. I had a horrible time last year with cucumbers, zucchini, and string beans. The birds and/or squirrels were constantly digging them up. This year I am definitely starting them inside. The green beans I'm going to direct sow, but I'm going to have to cover the rows.
With beans I like to use a 5 gallon with 3 poles making a tent type shape, and let the beans run up them. This keeps the pot full and it’s harder for the animals to get into there and mess around.

I guess I am the hard noised Gardiner. I have started lots of lemon trees, some grapefruit trees, and others things, & I have no "Grow Lights" What God gave the plants, that is what they have. I love Lemon, so I planted seeds from the fruit I liked, Maybe that will be good. 11 years with CHF, at 62, maybe the next owner of the house will let me know. I just know, the more I grow, the happier I am, & the better I feel. I love your videos. & as far as seed saving goes. Let some green onions go, carrots, or broccoli. The first two will flower & give you seeds in the second year, I had a woops with my broccoli, it bolted the day before harvest...then unusable, I let it go to seed. God smiling on me again... di I mention, I love your videos :-)
I feel, starting plants, from seed, brings me closer to God. I love to see things grow... and, yes, sometimes they do not. & God, only knows why. Depends on the plant and the timing. We try to time it so that we don't have to, but if it stays too wet or cold outside for too long and the plants get too big, then we do.
THAT was so funny! Peanut M & Ms. My 17 y.o. would garden if that was true! Nice video. I plant many peppers to eat fresh and to freeze for winter cooking.

I heard that soaking your seeds in water for 12 hours before planting can help with germination, haven't tried it myself yet, but it might help with the tricky peppers! :) Love your vids and hi from Poland!
Thank you for the idea of prepping the potting soil with water in a bowl and using a spoon. Literally saved me days and waste. My old method is out the door. Also, my ancient 6 packs died last year, so I had to buy the 72 cell 'greenhouse' for my starts today. Honestly, for $7.99 I should have done it sooner. Lid to seal in moisture and a bottom tray to keep my counter clean.😂
I had way more tomatoes than that but the squirrels ate half of them! I only have a 10x20 area for my whole garden plus some grow bags around my pool area.

One idea I have recently heard of is with tomato seeds, you use a few spoiled tomatoes and cut in sections depending on the size of course of the tomato. and just put the spoile parts in the dirt and it will produce tomato plants , and the seeds will be fed while establishing the new tomato themselves.
It blows my mind as well. Not only did God give us the plants, he gave us a way to save the seeds to do it all over again next year!

You can pickle your nasturtium seeds as tender green capers. Or use the dry seeds as a peppercorn substitute!

You can eat the Nasturtium flowers too. My kids and I fight over them when we see them growing. They taste like a peppery radish. Super delicious.

I don't know if it will help (I'm not an athlete) but I figure it can't hurt to give my body a chance to have everything it needs as I'm healing from an injury. I’m a long time Gardner and start my cucumbers, squash, egg plant, leeks and many more indoors and I agree larger started plants cope with spring weather better.

Worked for an organic garden shop and egg cartons work great because they decompose so when they get transplanted u can just cut them up and theres less disturbing of the roots
The reason we don't like em is just cuz there's not enough room for the roots to grow.
A good tip is to also check what zone you are in, in your state to see what grows best in that zone. Test your soil (you already did that video). Marigolds are also a good bug repellant. I'm really glad I found your channel. I really like the way you put them together. BTW, no hats at the dinner table.
Where I live time zones no longer mean anything. Due to a changing climate, even if you don't believe in.....God said it would happen, my area has gone wacko weather wise. Keep a log so you can adjust your plantings and such

I've scattered dill seeds all the time but a little buried and don't let dry out. Dill seeds are easy to save

Regarding seed saving. Maybe this will help someone...
I found it really confusing at first, but I bought a really handy book by Jude and Michel Fanton, which is titled, the The Seed Savers Handbook.
I have been home gardening for close to a decade, but the last few years we moved onto more land and now are getting heavy into it. It helps to also print off a cross pollination guide, which has a table of vegetables and then it will list the family and what they can potentially cross with. It helps you decide what to plant with what, if you intend to keep seeds.

nasturtiums is one thing we always plant outside. They take forever to germinate - they do eventually come up. And it's a great flower to save seed from never have to buy again.
If you do try and start those inside try saving your tp and paper towel rolls so they have more depth for their long roots to start.
We picked up a bag of the potting soil and I can already tell a difference in my seedlings!! Turns out we are only about an hour from their farm! ☺️☺️

I buy the domes that fit the trays, it just works better than plastic wrap.
Did you know you can clip any extra seedlings off at the ground level instead of pulling them so you do not risk root damage if your seedlings are tangled together in the soil. I love all the info you guys share.
The prettiest flower I think, or one that sticks out and you will remember is the Rose Peony. Please just look at them on line and see if you agree.
They are very sensitive to get started, but after you have them established they will come back year after year from my memory I am sure you can start them from seeds also, because they would be expensive to buy otherwise is my guess. They dont get very tall at all, but just so nice, soft fern leaves, and so pretty is the small rose flower itself.

I had dill seeds as part of a pollinator flower mix and they came up beautifully and I was able to use them for pickles. The key is the soil has to stay moist. I got some trailing nasturtiums for our rock wall! They are gorgeous!
You only have to plant dill once. Thereafter it will just pop up everywhere😅
My basement is mostly underground and it stays roughly 69 degrees all year round with a space heater. I use a 2x4 grow tent with ventilation and small wire racks (heater is also pointed at the inline fan inlet) and it is nearly packed. It's my seed-start dream come true! Basements can be an exception... Love the wealth of information you share!

Thank you for a great video! I love doing all my seedlings I need for my garden, probably 75 percent. All the rest I directly sow and I love seeing those that are doing big gardens that I am doing something right. With you living in rural Ohio I had a brother that llved in in rural Iowa that was in a similar situation and did as you did and grew way too many starts and he eventually would set up a little roadside spot where he would sell them and would make close to $1500 in just a couple of months doing it. People loved coming to him year after year because they knew that they were getting great quality plants as compared to big box stores.
There's definitely something special about buying local.
For Onions, I always order from Dixondale Farms. I have had consistently good results from their onion starts.

Nasturtium seeds are easy to save. Nasturtium are a trap crop that I use. I also plant radishes with my zucchini and other squash. It helps with the squash bugs, from my experience. I overwintered carrots and saved the seeds. Wow, didn't expect that many seeds...lol. Sowing those seeds soon. Trying oxheart tomatoes and a couple others this year. Wishing your family an abundant harvest this year.

MI Gardener is now selling some Boot Strap Farmer products. I have no connection, I was just excited because I order seeds from them.
I don't have heat mats, so I pre-germinated peppers last year with a damp paper towel, in a baggie on top of my hot water tank. It really speeds up the process. Just make sure to check frequently to make sure it doesn't dry out & to watch for germination.

I stick my nasturtiums in a hanging basket on the ends of my garden cuz they get so big and long and take over the bed corners lol so I get a little bit more room and you can see the pretty colors a little higher ♡

Itried nasturtiums the last two years and they didn't germinate. I learned that they have a hard time germinating with that hard shell and it helps to clerk the shell. I have several that have popped up, I'm so excited.

Yay for spring coming! It’s already here in my neck of the woods. Was able to direct sow my pole beans a couple days ago and they’re germinating! My tomatoes are growing in the greenhouse and almost ready to come outside and get potted up. So excited! Oh and I got all my potatoes planted around Valentines Day. They’re starting to sprout up as well. It’s getting into the 80’s here next week (and got to 85 last week). I’m making all the plans for planting out my squash, cucumbers, melons, more beans, corn, sunflowers and all the things. So much fun! My peppers are slow to germinate (I’m still waiting on several and planted them nearly a month ago!) but I’ve got lots of shishitos, 2 jalapeño plants, 1 bell pepper (that’s disappointing, we use tons of bell peppers so I’ll have to replant) and 4 eggplants going. I just never know what going to germinate well or not! My onions I grew from seed and planted them last fall and overwintered them as they’re short day onions. Growing them from seed is so satisfying! I wish I’d done it sooner. I did buy plant starts for thyme, oregano and rosemary because after several years of trying I never even got one of those seeds to germinate even with following all the directions and advice. So I just grabbed them at Lowes lol. 😂 Now the challenge is keeping them alive. I have no problem growing basil, parsley, dill, and coriander (cilantro) but those three perennials just elude me! Now I have them and transplanted them into my GreenStalk and they’re thriving. So far so good.
I’m loving the gardening content and look forward to more. It’s funny to see how others grow in different climates. So interesting how differently things grow in different areas. Like here I can grow luffa (loofah) like easy peasy whereas up in Canada it’s a big challenge. Now I’m understanding why certain foods are so popular here in the south. They’re easy to grow here. 😂Duh. 🤦🏻♀️Here I have a hard time growing tomatoes in summer which i thought was weird. Everything burns up in our summer heat here - except those few heat loving crops. Summer here is like winter up north. 🤷🏻♀️

I am terrible at seed starting. Now i start tomatoes by saving a couple in the fridge. Mush up the tomatoes and plant in a few pots. Thin out and you have tomato plants.

I started covering my cucumber and zucchini seeds with clear 18 oz cups after planting them in the garden. I have mini-greenhouses to keep the seeds protected and moist. Your produce containers would work as well.

I used to make my own potting soil but buying it got alot easier. I'm back to making my own because of $$. We had the windbreak trimmed and I kept all the chips. We have a monster pile of chips. The neighbor has a 300 ft x 5' tall pile of aged manure. Our trimmer who is an arborist said a local greenhouse takes all the chips he makes and has a great recipe for compost. (Your compost looks good!) A greenhouse guy recently told me that certain companies are beginning to add crap to their mixes and still raise prices. I ran out of my bulk buy of MG potting soil. The big 2 cu ft bags. I had to buy a smaller bag just to start some slow growing herbs. The 2 year old yellow MG bags were good. The latest had big branch pieces and junk where I had to screen out a bunch of junk. Sign of the times I guess. I like using the old berry containers for starting. Great idea!! :-)

Good stuff. I plant the dill in a row and sprinkle thickly and cover with about 1/2 inch of soil. When it comes up and is about 4 -6 inches high, I start cutting some for the freezer. The rest I let go to flower so that it is ready for when the cukes are ready - I use the flowers and like them yellow when its time to make dills. Got some Jimmy Nordello peppers to try this year...will see..lol. Good job!

This was SO helpful!! To see that you use ONE grow light with the size of your garden is so helpful. Every seed starting video I’ve seen has a whole setup with multiple racks of multiple sets of grow lights and that’s been discouraging to think I need to put that much money down to start a garden. (I know it’s an investment but still 😂) This has encouraged me to buy just one and start there! Thank you again.

I've tried starting cucumbers and squash indoors and they just seem to shock or stunt growth when transplanting. For me direct sowing they are much healthier. I also have to keep covered for a while so the critters don't eat them. I use a plastic liter soda bottle cut in 1/2 and holes in the bottom 1/2 for air flow and place over the seeds. Great content.

I tried Amish Paste tomatoes this year but they didn't seem to be quite as big as yours. But I was given some Afghan variety beefsteak and they are perhaps the sweetest tomatoes I've ever seen.

Try marigolds in the same beds as cukes and squash. I've never had any pest issues when I do this. Just a couple here and there is enough.

It's funny you mention about trying to start cucumbers and squash inside. I had a horrible time last year with cucumbers, zucchini, and string beans. The birds and/or squirrels were constantly digging them up. This year I am definitely starting them inside. The green beans I'm going to direct sow, but I'm going to have to cover the rows.

With beans I like to use a 5 gallon with 3 poles making a tent type shape, and let the beans run up them. This keeps the pot full and it’s harder for the animals to get into there and mess around.

I guess I am the hard noised Gardiner. I have started lots of lemon trees, some grapefruit trees, and others things, & I have no "Grow Lights" What God gave the plants, that is what they have. I love Lemon, so I planted seeds from the fruit I liked, Maybe that will be good. 11 years with CHF, at 62, maybe the next owner of the house will let me know. I just know, the more I grow, the happier I am, & the better I feel. I love your videos. & as far as seed saving goes. Let some green onions go, carrots, or broccoli. The first two will flower & give you seeds in the second year, I had a woops with my broccoli, it bolted the day before harvest...then unusable, I let it go to seed. God smiling on me again... di I mention, I love your videos :-)

How do you determine the height the grow light should be from your plants?
Around 4-6 inches.
Do you have to transplant them to bigger containers before you put them outside?
Depends on the plant and the timing. We try to time it so that we don't have to, but if it stays too wet or cold outside for too long and the plants get too big, then we do.

I heard that soaking your seeds in water for 12 hours before planting can help with germination, haven't tried it myself yet, but it might help with the tricky peppers! :) Love your vids and hi from Poland!

Thank you for the idea of prepping the potting soil with water in a bowl and using a spoon. Literally saved me days and waste. My old method is out the door. Also, my ancient 6 packs died last year, so I had to buy the 72 cell 'greenhouse' for my starts today. Honestly, for $7.99 I should have done it sooner. Lid to seal in moisture and a bottom tray to keep my counter clean.😂

One idea I have recently heard of is with tomato seeds, you use a few spoiled tomatoes and cut in sections depending on the size of course of the tomato. and just put the spoile parts in the dirt and it will produce tomato plants , and the seeds will be fed while establishing the new tomato themselves.
