San Antonio Fiesta Weekend Super Vlog

Not a typical vlog but more of an actual video journal. Since I wanted to cover at least three events over the weekend I thought that this would be a great chance to try shooting all of them in 4k at 60fps. It was a great way to end Fiesta. Thank you to all who were so gracious with me and my cameras and drones over the weekend. I made some new friends and saw some new places!

This video was shot with a Sony a7siii w/ a Tamron 28-75 and a Sony 20mm f1.8. The drone was the DJI Mavic Air 2S. I also used a GoPro Hero 11 Black for a few shots.

This! I love it when you are doing your journalism style vids. Explaining and sharing it. That is great!
I film almost everything in 1080P/60 and in a flat profile. that is just my best workflow unless I want to spend more time on it, then I do SLOG3. I personally do not like grading footage though beyond some color matching etc.
Are you shooting in 4k or just exporting in 4k? Because my main cameras are my FS5M2’s, I sometimes will do 4k/30 but personally 1080p edits better. But I would say that 60fps is my sweet spot. I prefer that over 24p. I was curious how you were doing the roof level shots. What drone are you running?

I normally shoot at 1080/ 24 or 30. I shot everything at 4k/60 this weekend. 60 was fun but it still looks too hyperrealistic, I may try 48fps next. I like how most of it turned out, that race in Austin was SUPER DARK, it doesn't look it in the video but it was way too dark to be trying to film lol
SLOG is fun when I'm doing in studio stuff or locked down shots, I'm not good at it on the fly at all!
Some of those shots I faked by holding my tripod up while fully extended but for the actual drone shots I used the Air 2S. It shoots 60p natively.
