I built a rig using an AsRock J3455B-ITX. The little fanless onboard Celeron consumes only around 10 watts and you get the mobo and processor together for around $60. A little more difficult to get it running, but well worth it.
I have a 1050ti that I’ve used for gaming, I have an extra card I’d make into a mining rig with one of my dell optiplex computers, can this be enough for me to get started?

Its all good, i like the content. Im fairly new to crypto but am keen to mine myself (I currently cloud mine which i'm earning well from) My PC has i5-7400 processor, RAM 8 GB / Storage 1TB HDD. My question is do you think i could mine from this now or should i get cards first? Thanks
My mining rig runs on a Gigabyte GA-EP41-UD3L with 4gbs of DDR2 a 10 year old 700Watt power supply a 40Gb HDD from the early 2000's and of course the iconic Cream white tower laid on its side with a 1060 mining away.
Do they make DIMM to SO-DIMM converters for DDR4? I have seen the DDR3 ones, but not DDR4. And by the time you buy the converter, it'd probably be better just spend a little bit more for actual desktop RAM instead of the $44 SO-DIMM. ;)
Okay its its official, time to take all these old parts I have and start building rigs. New sub, thanks for the great content. I like it, feels honest.
I tried a stock rx570 in Windows 10 and got 380 H/s mining ETN. Flashed the bios and almost bricked the damn thing but afterword the hashrate didn't even change. Max overclock netted me 430H/s. So I said screw Bill Gates and went to ubuntu now each stock rx570 jumped to 590 H/s. Ryzen 1500x stock gets 400 H/s. Windows 7 would be cool if Ryzen worked properly with it, but it doesn't so windows can suck it now. Done for good Linux for the win.

Hi . I would really appreciate it if you could give me some hints on how all this works without a screen. How can you set it up? Does it work itself without seeing anything on the screen or must you control it from somewhere else? Thanx
Nice video! Here is a related series idea for future: It would be awesome if you review different mining softwares to use with the rig. It would be nice to learn which are the best for each algorithm (best hash, runs stable, gpu strain etc.)
Very nice UFD! However, if you want to really go cheap and power efficient, you can get a different micro ATX mb+cpu like a Asrock D1800M for 55 USD. I have 2 RX570 on one. I could not get the 3rd PCI-e to work.
I only have the one computer and it's a gaming/Video editing rig. Mine with it when not in use but am thinking of getting a second card to put with my RX 480 probably a Vega 64 looking at getting one secondhand for about $650AU. So a video guide on stepping it up from a single card set up to something more would be interesting.
Wanted to use the Vega as my gaming card and just use it when not gaming to mine. I am already running the AMD blockchain driver on Windows 10 64bit with a Corsair AX860 80 plus platinum PSU. My RX 480 is getting 25.3 Mh/s mining ethereum using Claymore Dual Ethereum miner and I get a bit of Siacoin to. My motherboard is an ASUS x370 Prim PRO so can put up 6 cards on it if I use some risers I think. Thinking of just upgrading my Gaming card regularly until its all full up.
Yes, ignore the above comment, they have clearly done 0 testing. My crossfire (and single card) 3dMark Firestrike scores are within margin of error using the latest drivers and toggling the compute/graphics optimized setting. In honesty, its actually a few points higher using the "compute optimized" setting, but its so small its within error. They bumped up mining performance a massive amount though (have to refer to my excel chart for exact amount). I went from around 18-20 Mh/s stock to 28 Mh/s using blockchain and overclocking Vram to 1950 Mhz as well as tightening timings, lowered voltage on RX 470. Power use dropped a ton 1250w (at 12v rail, so ~1350w at wall, my HX1200i graphs it out) down to 700w. Mining with 4 RX 470, 2 R9 Fury (crossfire 4k gaming), Ryzen 1700 on the X370 Asrock Gaming k4 Fatal1ty board with 16gb ram (could use at least 32gb for my CAD, but prices are ridiculous).

if its possible please can you answer these 3 questions that i have been thinking of recently it would help greatly question 1= can laptops do this. i have a nvidia gtx1050 6gb gpu witb 8gb ram and ssd/hdd combi with i7 8th gen processor? question 2= i have a tower unit that has an i5 processor with 16gb ram and a mixture of gpu cards. would it be safe to use different gpu's in one computer or do i HAVE to have the same gpu in each slot? ( if you can use old model gpu's of course) question 3 is there a way to use the extra gpu's using a laptop to cut down on having the extra tower? or using the tower to use the laptops gpu?
Great video I just built an RX580 rig over the weekend. I was able to buy 6 RX580 8GB for an average of $300 each. You just have to shop around and keep checking amazon prime and newegg. At times they will have awesome deals though may only let you buy 1 or 2 at a time.
I found this used pc for sale an I was planning to use for my fist mining rig do you think the spec are good or would it consume to much watts/electricity? Please let me know. Thanks • Antec Quietcase • Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard • Intel i7 Core 920 processor • 9GB DDR3 RAM 1333mhz • 4 internal SATA drives totalling 4.3TB storage (2.3TB plus 2TB internal backup) • Nvidia GeForce GTX460 video card (2 DVI + 1 HDMI output) • Cooler Master Rs600 power supply • Asus USB N13 wifi card • Multi card reader for SD, USB and more • DVD writer with lightscribe
Thank you for suggesting used parts in this 'cheapest build' video. My build consist of purely used parts, Ive hit roi in the less than a month on my 350 dollar build.
Not Ethereum as the ETHminer will crash, but other cryptos are ok. My GTX 960 with 2 GB works great except when the softeware tries to switch to the ETHminer.
@Jake Zeigler you'd want to disable all anti virus software. The anti virus software will see the mining software as a threat and either prevent download or won't allow the miner to work.
@Jake Zeigler I've been running mostly AMD cards 6800xt's and 5700's. There seems to be issues with the AMD software when it comes to mining. Not sure what it is yet. I've had two of my 6800xt crap out on me. I've tuned them up and had to reduce the tuning. Like I said, I'm not too sure what the issue is yet. I'm going to try and make a video and post it on TH-cam to try and get some help with the issue. I'm also running two Nvidia 1080 ti's that have had no issues whatsoever since I've started running them. I just need to tune then a little more to reduce the power consumption.
@Jake Zeigler not too familiar with the specs on that GPU. From what I read, they only require a 200w PSU. You might be ok. Get MSI afterburner to help monitor the temps and ramp up fan speeds if they get too hot. I like to keep mine 67°c and under. My 1080ti's have an auto shut down at 72°c. Not too sure if your cards have something similar.
tech host farms also changed my life. I have started a new business from profits I made investing on a 2years contract with them. So easy and affordable.
@UFDTech I tell you what I need, step by step build the rig, then most importantly once we cut power on where do we go from there to get this thing online mining???? step by step can you help??
I'm considering buying a new graphics card and running it in Crossfire. How can I be sure I have enough free space on my motherboard to install a new GPU. The reason I'm asking is I'm using a MSi Radeon R9 290x Twin Froze in a MicroATX shell.
I see people don't add in internet connection cost also on top of power consumption. I would be greatful if you could make a video on running more cards on a rig. I have a GTX980 hof. How much better would it be if I had two or three of them profitability wise. and what is your take on internet cost for example R599 for telkom unchapped. and does line speed matter when minning? Thanks in advance
Hey, I want to know how to find a sweet spot of overclocking the card. You know, milking out the hash rate as much as possible while keeping the power consumption low.
I'd been tagging a few GPUs off my main gaming rig for a while but while I was at my dads over christmas I dug though some of his old stash I found a very high end mobo from the core2 duo/quad days that he'd used to run crossfire... dusted it off and powered it up with a spare corsair PSU I had laying around... now I need to build a riser "case" for it and add a few more GPUs... has 5 pcie slots... might give one of the 1-3 riser adapters a try to get 6+ gpus on it once I make a bit more money mining.
im hooking up a 1080TI having some problems with all the power connections. i have 2 free 4 pin molex connectors from the power supply one data connector i hooked a 6pin pcie adapter to to power the riser..im a bit lost on how to get power to the 2 pcie slots on top of the video card
I just bought an Amd Rx Vega 56 from new egg. I went to nice hash and the calculator says it makes about $3.50 a day. I was wondering if I can start with this equipment and add as I go.
Start mining pi, the cryptocurrency will be launched this year, and once it does, you won't be able to mine anymore. You don't need graphics cards you only need your phone, is cloud mining. It doesn't consume battery. It's on coinmarketcap in untracked listing. On marketplace there are already transactions for value of $100 aprox and when you just download the app you mine at 0.25 pis/hour. Use my code as an invitation Code: Name246 Download the app Pi network.

+karan valvi Thanks Karan!
Are you building one? karan
Harsha Reddy ..nope...but like tech
if its possible please can you answer these 3 questions that i have been thinking of recently it would help greatly
question 1= can laptops do this. i have a nvidia gtx1050 6gb gpu witb 8gb ram and ssd/hdd combi with i7 8th gen processor?
question 2= i have a tower unit that has an i5 processor with 16gb ram and a mixture of gpu cards. would it be safe to use different gpu's in one computer or do i HAVE to have the same gpu in each slot? ( if you can use old model gpu's of course)
question 3 is there a way to use the extra gpu's using a laptop to cut down on having the extra tower? or using the tower to use the laptops gpu?
Most laptops don't have enough power to mine and if it have enough power to mine your laptop will heat up
Currently running my rig on Ubuntu from a 32gb Thumbstick. $15, no hard drive needed.
Currently running my rig on Ubuntu from a 8gb Thumbstick. $8, no hard drive needed.
Explain because I'm retarded
Are 570's a better choice than 580's given similar hash rates and lesser power consumption?
+bitcoinbeginners Yes, better value at the current moment
I'd rather build my own mining rig frame from wood or aluminum from home depot. much cheaper. :)
James Brady h
Cheaper than a box?
Great video I just built an RX580 rig over the weekend. I was able to buy 6 RX580 8GB for an average of $300 each. You just have to shop around and keep checking amazon prime and newegg. At times they will have awesome deals though may only let you buy 1 or 2 at a time.
Friends don't let friends use bad power supplies, but g'head and run your mining rig on that cardboard box for days / weeks / months at a time.
I found this used pc for sale an I was planning to use for my fist mining rig do you think the spec are good or would it consume to much watts/electricity? Please let me know. Thanks
• Antec Quietcase
• Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard
• Intel i7 Core 920 processor
• 9GB DDR3 RAM 1333mhz
• 4 internal SATA drives totalling 4.3TB storage (2.3TB plus 2TB internal backup)
• Nvidia GeForce GTX460 video card (2 DVI + 1 HDMI output)
• Cooler Master Rs600 power supply
• Asus USB N13 wifi card
• Multi card reader for SD, USB and more
• DVD writer with lightscribe
AKA__Maza that i7 is going to consume a lot.
TeCh ExPlOiTs yeah that what I was thinking, I guess it would be better to build the rig. The used pc would cost me $300
Nicehash is back!!! Would you recommend it over other miners as of today?
+Ruzan Pithawala Would you recommend a bank that lost all of its money?
Funniest comment of the year!
I recommend mining directly to a pool and being your own bank
Congrats on 60k!
Thank you for suggesting used parts in this 'cheapest build' video. My build consist of purely used parts, Ive hit roi in the less than a month on my 350 dollar build.
yeah. what are you mining??
Yes, really what are you mining?
Have a tech question for you .. can you use a dual fan asus 2gb ddr5 hd 7770 for mining ?
can you mine with a 2gb card like a 660ti ??
Not Ethereum as the ETHminer will crash, but other cryptos are ok. My GTX 960 with 2 GB works great except when the softeware tries to switch to the ETHminer.
meh, my HD7750 1gb ddr5 gpu is perfectly happy just the way it is on bitcoin gold
KINGORVIL17 not profitable uses too much power and hashrate is low
Yes. Don't.
king of tech and asks shit about tech xD
Would you recommend having virus scan software or disabling the virus scan software while mining? I've noticed my anti virus uses up some of my GPU.
I guess I'll stick to faucets 😔
how much would you spend, how long it would it take and how much will you make?
I’ll be grateful he did get me 4btc contact *Aprilzino on lNstagam* he’s a pro
I like that he's including South African prices cause he lives here :P.
I'm considering buying a new graphics card and running it in Crossfire. How can I be sure I have enough free space on my motherboard to install a new GPU. The reason I'm asking is I'm using a MSi Radeon R9 290x Twin Froze in a MicroATX shell.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned under-clocking cpu's to save that precious Juice.
Thanks in advance
because most people that would even know what mining is would already have internet.
This isn’t aging well lol
If you followed these steps years ago you’d have a nice bag of coins
@@chazs6854yeah 😂
Hey, I want to know how to find a sweet spot of overclocking the card. You know, milking out the hash rate as much as possible while keeping the power consumption low.
Thanks for destroying the gpu market
wfwcowboys Tech
You'll get over it....
Which power supply need for 6 rx 570 GPU Mining...
& Plz upload multiple card mining
+Suv Da I'd suggest at least 1000W and then you would have to make sure you undervolt the cards.
or connect to separate 500W ? is that doable?
Really, best guide here in youtube. Thank you. Let's go mining some crypto. :D
Is he angry?
Yes
No he is South African they all sound angry haha
No. South Africans don't waste time. Very fast workers and talkers. It's the ones who talk "nice" who stab you in the back...
do i have to power both the PCIE riser AND the card? so it would be 3x 6PCIE connectors?
yes. though if you're talking 580s with an 8 and 6 pin, the extra 6 pin is optional and doesn't need to be connected.
its a 1080ti
im hooking up a 1080TI having some problems with all the power connections. i have 2 free 4 pin molex connectors from the power supply one data connector i hooked a 6pin pcie adapter to to power the riser..im a bit lost on how to get power to the 2 pcie slots on top of the video card
awesome
+Amithkumar BG Yeah you are.
your the one who most of the time reply my comments, I love you bro
+Amithkumar BG 😁😁😁😁😄
are you in india?... shit man gpus are so expensive here than any other place
I just bought an Amd Rx Vega 56 from new egg. I went to nice hash and the calculator says it makes about $3.50 a day. I was wondering if I can start with this equipment and add as I go.
Bitcoin investment is really the best thing one can do now.
Especially with the current Rise
For real it is very profitable
This is what have been helping me financially throughout this pandemic period..
Most times i try to do this bitcoin trading and investment on my own but i keep on making losses.
Im really pissed of men
Start mining pi, the cryptocurrency will be launched this year, and once it does, you won't be able to mine anymore. You don't need graphics cards you only need your phone, is cloud mining. It doesn't consume battery. It's on coinmarketcap in untracked listing. On marketplace there are already transactions for value of $100 aprox and when you just download the app you mine at 0.25 pis/hour. Use my code as an invitation
Code: Name246
Download the app Pi network.
Hi do you recommend still doing this build or do you recommend something different?
This is exactly what NOT to do
why is that?
Anything less than 6 GPU rig is a waste of time, and going with less than a gold PSU is not recommended.
And yet one of the biggest mining farms around has all 4 gpu rigs.
80+ bronze would be just fine.
Wouldn’t any power supply with enough wattage be fine if you don’t care about the efficiency of it?
Great video. I searched hi and low for a budget miner build video layed out in this format, when i first started. Keep up the good work
*I was denied several times before I find a big opportunity to reach her service out for Assistance officer and everything work well and I got my profits so easier thanks a lot madam 🙏🙏*
I am considering using my gaming pc as a miner. I7 7700k / gtx 1080ti 850 watt psu. How much would I make at 7.9cents per kw? Appx of course.
hi. I really want to mine
but... I know nothing but how to use a laptop, pc, or tablet to mess around on the internet.
do you have a more precise how to, or
is there mining for dummies or something I could get or something to actually learn this?
Do you think I will be able to just put a couple of rx 580's into a xps 625 without needing any extra hardware?
