Chaired by a brilliant Prof Chandran, this fantastic program with 3 world class political pundits is highly enlightening and interesting. It's such a rare opportunity to learn about world affairs and hear the invaluable views of 4 great minds together in one program. Thank you very much Prof Chandran and your panel of 3 eminent speakers!👏👏👏

A simple word of wisdom by Chinese “you must prepare for war to avoid war”. Two facts below serve well to answer whether the Chinese is indeed a peace-loving race over 3,000+ recorded Chinese history including a)no single painting used to warship war, and b)no society and no civilization that founded close neighbor to China were ever vanquished or eviscerated. This is something Western powers find itself diametrically different from Chinese. The big question is which one will prevail? I bet my money on China for itis the longest lasting civilization known to mankind.

    Only the Australian Government
    Not the people

Dr Summers overuse of the term "player" is unfortunate and objectionable given that it implies that all these issues are part of a "game".

Or, the West should dramatically improve its diplomacy with representatives understanding Chinese!

It's nothing to do with western chauvinism. There is a big propaganda war going on and China is unnecessarily losing it because of its appalling PR operation. This includes wooden responses from Foreign Ministry representatives speaking with impenetrable accents.

@@patbyrneme007 If you think that public relations is going to prevent the United States from engaging in belligerent action, you are going about peace incorrectly. the mainland has an independent perspective on how to deal with a polity that insists to station a giant navy just outside the coastline, and a few nice looking female representatives that speak english well are hardly the proper solution.
