I have had the single point tracker for a while and you just solved a big problem for me when you gave the tip about starting your track in the middle and then tracking backwards and forwards. Also, I never knew what the track assist filter was. Thank you. Definitely subbing!

Hi Jenn, may I ask with the new native object tracking option in FCP 10.6 would you still prefer to use these trackers from Pixel Film Studios? and why? so far I find the object tracking in FCP to be so easy to use and with simple UI, anyway I actually owned these trackers from PFS as well but I rarely use tracking in my Projects so I wonder if I still need them and can they do more stuff than the built in tracker in 10.6?

I want to mask a person and place them against a different background. Can I use this software to do it? I have tried using the masking tool in FCPX but it does not work well when I try placing the individual key markers myself.
This plugin was not made for that- you would have to mask out the subject and keyframe each frame. At the moment we are not aware if any rotoscoping software exists to shorten or eliminate the keyframing process. I just bought the perspective tracker from Pixel studios and it works great with images, but not with animated titles like the Neon Titles pack. No matter how many tutorials I watch, nobody addresses this issue. Either the titles don't show up or I get a black square (the title overlay) stuck in the drop zone. How about a tutorial to address this issue? Are you up for the challenge?
Hey there Cool Professor! Before adding any Title or Generator to the drop zone, it should be first transformed into a Compound clip. You may need to also first export your video with an alpha channel transparency first before you can import it into the drop zone. Hi! This was a helpful tutorial. :) I'm having an issue with putting a video clip in my drop zone. It's a blue screen video that I've already masked out and turned into a compound clip. Every time I apply the clip in the drop zone, nothing comes up. I've tried this multiple times with no results. Do you know what might be causing this?
Aloha from Hawaii! I love the trackers, and really just learning FCPX. The surface tracker looks the coolest, can this be used for most tracking and be the only one I might need?
I’d actually say the auto tracker is the most versatile. The surface tracker is very cool, but it just does those soft surfaces. The autotracker won’t morph like the surface tracker but it’s much more of a workhorse.

Very good video but believe me as beginners when we try this, its like rocket science. Around 90% of professionals are already used to PLUGINS for beginners this hardly works that's the issue.

You can use this plugin with any legally acquired version of FCPX including the trial version. :)

Hi, I'm not in front of my computer right now, but from memory try switching from "Track mode" to "Display mode"? That might be it.
