I bought both sets of these brushes. The eye brush nr 2 is perfect for deep set double hooded eyes. I have standard sets and those for hooded eyes, but the new set are even better. The cheeck brush, beaatiful and supper soft.
Thanks for another wonderfully informative review. The Koyo brush is gorgeous! The brush head's shape and blend are similar to a ChikuhodoxBoBo brush that I already have and it, too, has a beautiful Maki-e handle. If I didn't already own that one the Rephr would be a "must have.” I purchased last year's Rephr special edition brush and, although the handle is not as luxe as this year’s brush, the silky soft saibikoho bristles more than make up for the lackluster handle.

Amazing review Sofia! I came for the face brush review thinking that I have enough eye brushes in addition to the fact that I’m terrible with eyeshadow looks and application and genuinely afraid even to try any eye looks - but you absolutely sold me on the eye set! Probably this is exactly what I need as I’m always afraid to over do it!
I'm in between getting the Rephr Koyo or the Bobo Chikuhodo CH1 brush, specifically for blush! I have a small face, so I'm worried that the Rephr one might be too large. thoughts?
I just googled it and that one looks really nice! It's hard for me to tell the size from the photos though. It kind of looks like the Bobo one is a little smaller and might work better

Everything is done by hand. I would expect they are using a little stamp for the leaves and not using a brush to paint every little one. Otherwise the brushes would look very consistent

It depends on the brush. Sonia G intentionally launches more premium and seasonal options which are going to be more expensive. Rephr tends to focus on high quality essentials. So the branding of each company and the customer that they serve is a little different. It's not that one brand is overall better than the other
Hi Sofia, I love angled brushes and Make-e handles. This brush is beautiful and probably the best one from Rephr. But because I already have a lot of brushes I am very picky about new purchases. On my wish list is an angled blush brush same size as the Surratt one, 100% squirrel hair with a Make-e handle. Thanks for sharing!🙂
I think I need to get the eye trio! Eyeshadow is my Achilles heel and I am just way too intrigued by these brushes, they look lovely and I like a soft look 💖

When it comes to luxury goods or art, it's really up to the person whether or not it's worth it and if they want to pay a premium for quality materials/skilled labor. I can only present the pros and cons as the reviewer. A non-decorated, factory made, synthetic brush will apply your blush for a lot less and that experience is more than enough for most people
