Great tips! I need to try this.....I think we are getting more lines due to straw use. A tip I picked up a few years too late is to drink with the straw over to the side instead of in the middle of your lips ~ this way you don't pucker!
Hi, Angie, just found your videos. Very much appreciate how honest you come across. I'm an oldie...74, and found a few of the tips on application that was enlightening. I stopped wearing make-up altogether for a few years now, but after seeing the videos, I'm going to try a few of the techniques. Keep it up gal, you are inspiring.
Hi Angie...love your tips and tricks. Have been watching some women's channels for a while. Thinking of adding my own. I am 66 a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I find your tips very informative and visually its a great way to learn what to do. You are very professional and yet fun. Great info about the Botox etc. We sure aren't looking like our former ancestors. But then again, we don't have to be up at 4am and plow the field, have our babies where ever we stood, and back to work again. Travel by oxen or live without electricity, and all the comforts we have today. I have great respect for women that came before. Someday, maybe they'll say the same about us....considering how much more advanced we become in the future. Have a great day. Hugs Anita
I am 62, and have used a lip conditioner since my early 40's and I have very few wrinkles. It was dedication of using it morning and night every day. The combination that works for me for the last few years, is using Prescriptives PX lip conditioner in the morning, and Hourglass Lip Oil. It is expensive but worth it! And I exfoliate my lips almost every day in the shower in the morning. Let's face it, vanity is work, but fun work! Thanks for sharing your tip.
Exfoliating lips with salt, sugar or bi-carbonate of soda is great and then I put on some clear hair styling wax by V05. Sounds crazy but it's thick enough to stay on the lips at night you see. It's just like Vaseline but even thicker. In the morning my lips are so hydrated and not dry like before. That stuff is so good, but do a patch test first as we're all different.
I know this is an old video/comment but I wanted to say Thank You for this Lip Tip. This little secret did wonders for my lips. Im going to try it on dry skin as well. My hands get so dry and crack in the winter. 👍👌
oh my goodness, I have been having a major problem with this also! I finally found the solution that worked for me. When applying my foundation, I don't apply under my nose/above my lip area until the very end. That area there is my very last application with my foundation brush because there is very little product left on the brush therefore it doesn't get caked on or applied too heavy. I line my lips then fill in the entire lip with the liner then apply my lipstick, blot with tissue then cover my lips with tissue and pat with a powdered brush. It sounds like a lot of work but it has been working perfectly.
Fairly new here Angie...I am so glad I ran across one of your videos, which has led me to another and another! i found you one day by doing a search on what is a 49 year old woman supposed to wear? Decided I am close enough to 50 to be hanging out with you!! Thank u for sharing your beauty tips! I am sure like many of us out there ponder questions as what to wear, make up, skin care as we grow older its a new experience! Myself and many friends talk alot about not wanting to to be 50 trying to look 20...nor are we intersted in the "old-lady" attire. I have been enjoying actually watching videos with friends and trying new things. It is awesome that you share your tips and experiments and we really love the fact that you do not ENDORSE products...and how you are just honest and up beat and positive! You look great! We all really love the fact fact that you are so "real" and down to earth! Thank you for taking your time to share your hints suggestions etc....Keep posting please!....Hugs from Indiana...Stacey
Been several years since I prescribed to your page, are you still being the wonderful you and sharing and helping other women?!!?? Used to love to visit your page then life happened and I wasn't around for a few years but back at it now, I still love your video's!!!! Hope to find more recent posting from you. God bless
Thanks for this video Angie. I am another one who is noticing the lovely lip wrinkles UGH! just hate them. I was wondering what a liquid lipstick was too, so now I feel better that I'm not the only one. I was thinking it must be like a gloss or something too. Thanks again and have a great day xoxo
Angie, this is helpful, but feathering is not my issue. Rather, I'd like to see you test lip primers which keep my normal well-wearing lipsticks from settling into lower lip creases. My lower lip is dry and sometimes chapped although I live in Florida. But even my younger friends in the northeast have this lower lip issue.
Impresssive. You are much younger than I am, and My lip wrinkles are quite a bit more deep. However, the demonstration has convinced me to try the Elf lip primer. If it works on me, I'll be shocked and thrilled. Thanks Angie.
I use LUSH lip scrub first. It takes away any dry skin and let's a good lip moisturizer do the hydrating next. Then use the lip primer and lip stick of choice. Many women or men don't realize to exfoliate their lips to make soft less wrinkled lips.
I think I'll give it a try because I have the same problem. Thanks for this video!!!! FYI: Stila is a liquid lipstick, except its not a stick it's like a lipgloss that stays on all day. Maybelline makes a line that seems to last longer. One side is the liquid lip color and the other end has a solid gloss. Both products (Stila and maybe line) goes on wet like a gloss, then dry and give an almost mattifying effect, like a lipstick.
Didn't even know I had lip lines until I started threading/waxing my upper lip. So I traded one for the other. Great tip though. Must give it a try. Thanks so much for you videos. You do so much research and I am grateful.
I love Clinques all about lips. It takes the dryness and flakes away. It doesn't have a plumper to it. It runs about $25.00, but it lasts forever so it's worth it. I can't use the elf one due to it having cinnamon in it or I would try it. Oops forgot to mention coconut oil, use it on your face, put some (around a half teaspoon) in a hot drink like coffee or hot chocolate and it will really soften your face, lips, etc.
Love that lipstick color! I have the ELF Primer/Plumper & don't care much for it. But I'll give this process a try and see what results I get. I don't like plumpers. I dont' believe they work & they only sting my lips.
I realize that this is an older video so you probably know by now that some lip balm or chapstick type products dry out your lips because they contain alcohol but even worse they contain petroleum and lead. The same is true for many lipsticks. If you check you can find several brands online that are organic and do not contain these things. They are toxic free and cruelty free as well
Newest liquid lipstick, Smashbox Liquid Lacquer! Cannot wait to try! Or Melted, that's another that is very popular right now. Not in tibe form so mor liquid and hydrating.
Omggg you know what?? My lips became CREASE FREE once I put a pore filling primer ( that I use for my face ) on my lips and they literally look baby smooth 🥺💞
THANK YOU ,I MUST SAID I DONT OFTEN LISTEN TO VIDEOS BECAUSE THE WOMEN ARE SO LOUD, I CAN'T STAND IT!!!! BUT WITH YOU IT WAS NICE TO LISTEN TO YOU !! AND I WANNA SAID YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL WITH HARDLY ANY MAKE UP !! THANK YOU
Hi Angie! Every time I'm looking to buy something, which is all the time I get on TH-cam and you're always the 1st (and the best!) Thanks again! It's funny how we beat ourselves up. I think you're gorgeous and your skin looks great. We see stuff that others don't ...Just a thought ✌
Hi Angie, I've seen a lot of good reviews for NYX lip primer too...was actually going to buy a lip primer tomorrow so this video came at a good time! Xo
I would recommend a filler in lieu of Botox. I did Botox once and had difficulty drinking without a napkin in one hand. The effect lasted about 3 months! The filler looks good immediately baring any bruising (Botox injections bruised too). My dr said "oh, you must me taking fish oil". Well it would have been nice if she mentioned that before my visit :). It really wasn't bad but something I wasn't expecting.
Hi Angie, I just came across your videos and just love them! Thank you so much. You are helping me out so much with your honest reviews and pointers. Thank you Thank you!! PS: I love that you're a New England gal too. I'm in SC now for a few years and Long to go back to NE! I"m from RI/MA area originally and hope to get back there.....soon! Ok, well anyway, I love your videos!!
Wow, that sure is a beautiful lipstick color. Gotta pick that up! And the elf product too, although so far, the only thing not wrinkling on me is lips. Or maybe I can't look up from my wrinkly neck to notice. :). Thanks for another great vid.
I just saw an ad on You Tube for Angellift.com It might be something to try? I have a vague recollection of seeing it on Shark Tank but I can't recall anything specific about that episode or the product.
Hi Angie, great color. I love your videos... SO helpful, THANK you! I'm curious if you've looked into the Angellift Collection (Dermastrips & Dermasome) and Rejuvenex cream? I'd love to hear your opinion on those. Thank you!!
My lip lines are quite deep and the botox nurse recommends that I have filler to give definition to my lips and that will help sort out the lines. She said botox can cause some women to have problems with pronouncing their B's and Q's ...Have you any information on this or advise you can give me?.
Lots of liquid lipsticks out there. Never used any, but I've seen them. YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain, Dior Addict Fluid Stick, MAC Cremesheen Glass, Rouge G De Guerlain L'Extrait, etc.
Clarisonic your lips and mouth area morn n night and Vit C serum and moisturise at least once. preferably twice daily, if you have bad lip lines. A face peel regularly and Retiinol products...and Retin A of course too all help take away the wrinkled top layer of skin that causes the lines....and help produce the fresher less lined skin below. Exfoliation in one form or another!! It's worked so for me I'm asked if I've had Cosmetic treatment... I'm 49 and sucked a pen for years...a nasty habit that puckered my lips and basically gave me a Hens bum !! it's just about gone now after two years working on it.
I tried that Peter Thomas Roth tightening product. It’s for under your eyes. I add a little to my upper lip and it gets rid of those lines. I know it’s temporary but I do like it. I just want to put it on my whole face. Lol
Angie, it did look like there was a definite improvement! I agree with you, the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick is beautiful! I will have to try this; b/c, I have A LOT lip protection balms that I haven't been able to use up. I wonder if this will help the saying power of the lipsticks too? Thanks for sharing!
Like all the other ladies that posted, I LOVE the lipstick color and will have to try the ELF Primer. I am beginning to get the wrinkles around the lips and notice them more when I wear darker shades in the winter. I think I read somewhere where the over 50 set shouldn't wear dark shades. I don't wear REALLY dark shades but love Slopes by Bobbi Brown for winter. Has anyone else heard this?
***** exactly! Thank you! I love that you just said this cuz that's the way I feel as well. I'm the same size as my 3 late twenties to early thirties - daughters, We all fall somewhere within around a size 2 - 6, US, depending on the garments and the manufacturer. I only really have two rules for dressing and makeup. The first is nothing with Shimmer or any iridescents in it for makeup, unless it's a very fancy or fun like a Christmas party or something and then only a little eye shadow like that. My rule for clothes is, unless it's as a college sweatshirt or something like that I don't wear shirts with words on them. I work from home so unless I am meeting a client, my daily uniform is leggings, jeans or drawstring type yoga pants, tank tops - I have about 50 of them in every color and style possible, lol, - and a hoodie or little cardi. I also don't understand women who think that the minute they turn 40 or 45 they instantly must chop off all their hair, wear glasses 24/7, and throw away their makeup( except for lipstick on 'special occasions' lol and gain 50 to 100 pounds. Again, thanks for showing how beautiful we all really can and should be if we just don't give up on ourselves and take the best care of ourselves ever!
Liquid lipstick is that long lasting stuff that is kind of like a liquid crayon consistency. Paint it on and a minute later it's dry. Use only the gloss that comes with it so as not to re-emulsify it and it lasts all day. By Covergirl and Loreal.
Angie, I'm sure you where already using lip balm with SPF (I like Carmex) definitely think you don't have wrinkles but Mally Beauty liquid lipstick is amazing on my mummy's ex smoking lips and you are much younger. Another tip is a highlighter pencil on the Cupid's bow.
I am not a very girly, girly when it comes to make-up. Im not too in to make-up like i used to be when i was younger.... but i do like to take care of my self and feel beautiful. This video isn't normally my thing... but... I DO... think you are a very nice lady... you seem to be to be a kind hearted human, who is very down to earth... and who has style and a very beautiful smile... Farm life gives me wrinkles, and so do my beautiful children... thanks for the tips though... i will try... have you heard of comfrey, rose and calendula, they are herbs and flowers i grow here on my farm, and i make face creams with them, i even make my own goat milk soap using my own goats milk...... lots of love to you..
Hi Angie. You indicated that you didn't have a liquid lipstick. I use a liquid lip colour - Rimmel Provocalips 16 hour kiss proof lip colour. Step 1 is the lip colour and Step 2 is the lock and shine. Other "stay on" lip products seem very drying but I find that this is not drying while it stays on for more than 16 hours and the gloss side is not too glossy.
+redhot I never even thought about the lines "in our lips" until watching all these TH-cam videos. Great, just one more thing to think about. Thankfully the people I hang around with don't even notice such things!
@@fuczuc754 I think its more for smokes and ppl who wear liquid lipstick. The lines that show with liquid lips is extreme and not flattering what so ever.
what lip lines?? really Angie? I have yes real lip lines and I hate them and not long b4 I turnd 60 I seem to notice they had gotten more pronounced it seems my fifties I pretty much looked the same as my forties my mid-to-late forties for me I looked pretty good still but somewhere around the age of about 58 and 1/2 - 60 wrinkles just went crazy on my face. and I seemed like I aged 10 years in a year and a half!!! wonder if anybody else is like that??
I have the same problem, going to be 55 in about a month, plus I smoke, yuk , I know . I believe it's the loss of cologen, I have heard there is a supplement that may help with plumping the lip lines, although have not tried it myself
What I noticed was that a wide smile makes them disapear if only while smiling, so I try and smile a lot, I may look like a lunitic smiling all the time but, hey no lip lines, I'll look crazy all day
Hi Angie! Thanks for the great video. I bought the Elf plumper today. I love the cinnamon smell - it's like Christmas. Is your generic retinoic cream a prescription?
The primer is cool because it also works like a concealer too making reshaping the lips w/a lip liner easier. ELF has a lip exfoliator too, it's the only one that I've ever seen that is just like applying a chapstick or lipstick, except there's sugar in it as the exfoliator. There's a lot of duds out there but this one works great!
wow so weird you did this one..the past few weeks I've noticed those pesky lip lines too..for some reason they bother me more than any other lines and I do have many..thanks for the info
I think Giorgio Armani Flash Lacquer and Lip Lacquers fall on the liquid lipstick category. Drugstore brand Nyx has butter gloss and lip creams that could fall on that category as well.
Speaking of lips!! I've had to stop using Retin a. I don't know what it is with it and my lips, however I could not get that sticky ucky feeling to go away. I thought it was going to, it never did. I waited a week, doing only my forehead and around my eyes, and still, sticky, like they're dissolving, lips! Finally, I stopped using the Retin a, and within 2 days! no more sticky lips!! Back to retinal I go....waawaahhh....can't say I didn't try :-)
Hi Angie! Please please do a review of Clinicians lip plumper compared to drug store brand Physicians formula. I heard they are very very similar except for price of course. Keeping my fingers crossed. Have a fabulous day!
Wow, I could really see a difference. Can you tell me how long the initial application lasted and how many times you had to reapply during the day to keep the same plump appearance?
I have that issue with lip balms where they actually dry my lips out. I've worked out that I need balms that don't have any petroleum in them. HURRAW make some great ones that are all natural.
I have a down turned mouth. Its is hereditary. It did not bother me too much but now I am 42 it seems to be worse. Other than dermal fillers is there anything else I can do? Maybe a lipstick trick I am unaware of. I look miserable but I am happy. Any tips please Angie? or anyone else? Thank you! (I am in the UK)
Mony0425 It was much better with primer than without, but I returned it. Without primer it made my upper lip get weird horizontal wrinkling... You can see how it did against 7 other lipsticks in this video: Best & Worst ~ Lipstick Testing for Mature Women
Hi I know this is an older video, but I am 51 and I have lines above my lips, what can I do about these? I have really thought about injections , but I can't afford it on my budget. Any help would be awesome.
Donna Roach Donna65stars I just found this video and you may have forgotten it by now since it’s a year old. I was wondering if you’ve found anything to help the lip lines? I love my lipstick but it makes the lines even more visible.
You are adorable Angie! You always make me laugh, lol (lip disappeared...too cute). I've completely forgotten about the lip plumping idea for the upper lip lines...so thank you!!! :))) (p.s.: Liquid lipstick may be like what I use "Maybelline Super Stay 24 colours"...or "Max Factor's Lipfinity". They last all day, & have an adjoined waxy clear cover. I only use those, because my lips have no colour! Lucky me (not)! lol
natalie075 Hi Natalie! All you really need to smooth out those lip wrinkles is a big smile... and I know you have lots of those (plus easier than using a trowel!!) xo
Hello, i just came across your channel i am about to turn 30 and I do not know if its a normal thing or if there may be so,ething wrong with my lips. My problem is evrytime I wear any lip product, even chapstick after an hour or so it starts to come off piece by my lips look sticky and it looks as if i had rubbed glue on them. Can you please give me any advice on how to fix it? Thank you in advance
Great tips! I need to try this.....I think we are getting more lines due to straw use. A tip I picked up a few years too late is to drink with the straw over to the side instead of in the middle of your lips ~ this way you don't pucker!
Hi, Angie, just found your videos. Very much appreciate how honest you come across. I'm an oldie...74, and found a few of the tips on application that was enlightening. kittyrings so you’re 77 now

Ugh I need so much help...
I know this is an old video/comment but I wanted to say Thank You for this Lip Tip. This little secret did wonders for my lips. Im going to try it on dry skin as well. My hands get so dry and crack in the winter. 👍👌
V05 is not cruelty free, unfortunately. Poor animals have to suffer so people can have smoother lips....sad : (

This is a great tip, Angie! That ELF lip primer really made a difference, and the lipstick color is so pretty!
That is the brand she is using?
Will have to try this, I just started noticing lines on my top lip. The Elf product sounds good.
xoxoNisha
What about upper lip lines? If this says Jim it is because I use my husband's e mail. I am jean
Maybelline Superstay 24hr is a liquid lipcolour and its the ONLY one I use as it doesn't feather, bleed or transfer AND excellent for lip correction.
Been several years since I prescribed to your page, are you still being the wonderful you and sharing and helping other women?!!?? Thank you so much, Nancy

I I love this look. Please do a tutorial for vertical lines on upper eyelids. At 61, they have become the bane of my existence!
Didn't even know I had lip lines until I started threading/waxing my upper lip. So I traded one for the other. Great tip though. Must give it a try. Thanks so much for you videos. You do so much research and I am grateful.
Hi Angie - Great video. Elf also makes a lip exfoliator that works really well and only costs $3.00 as well.
That ELF exfoliator is like pumice stone for your lips. I also like it, though it's a weird, weird thing.
Theresa Ryder I know. you're right!! But it also gets all the gunk off your lips! LOL
I love Clinques all about lips. It takes the dryness and flakes away. It doesn't have a plumper to it. It runs about $25.00, but it lasts forever so it's worth it. I can see a little improvement so I'm encouraged because I'm 65 and have what I call significant lip lines. I have fair skin like the Irish or German.
Love that lipstick color! I have the ELF Primer/Plumper & don't care much for it. But I'll give this process a try and see what results I get. I don't like plumpers. I dont' believe they work & they only sting my lips.

Great tip. Looks great Angie. Love the lip primer and urban decay lipstick.
So did it feather later on, or stay nice? Love the test thought. Will get some of the Elf next time I see it👍🏼
The L- Studio..Lip primer & plumper is great! ThanksThotland flash
I just got the book 2day.i have a crater size wrinkle on my lip.....its GENIUS! lol 🙃

Andrea Parker I know… how did I not notice them?? I just saw an ad for one from Tarte that looks good too… have to start trying them!
Lol
I really liked the video. That really made such a diffrence. I will definitely try this. Thank you so very much!!
Deb Hark I don't let other people make rules dictating what I can wear and at what age. Wear what makes you happy and looks good on you!
Thanks Angie, love your videos. This one is just what I was looking for, will try it. I don't know what a liquid lipstick is either!
Liquid lipstick is that long lasting stuff that is kind of like a liquid crayon consistency. Paint it on and a minute later it's dry. Use only the gloss that comes with it so as not to re-emulsify it and it lasts all day. By Covergirl and Loreal.
senegence lipstick is great stays on for hours no smear, no coming off on glasses etc
I am certainly going to try this! And also look for the book, so thanks!
Fantastic video, very helpful. Question---what brand is that what lipstick primer is that? THANS!!!
Hi Angie, thanks for the tutorial. I have many wrinkles around my lips unfortunately! Your lips looked really smooth before the application! lol xx
Arent people more concerned with above the lips than on the lips as far as wrinkles go ?
+redhot I never even thought about the lines "in our lips" until watching all these TH-cam videos. Great, just one more thing to think about. Thankfully the people I hang around with don't even notice such things!
U read my mind.
@@fuczuc754 I think its more for smokes and ppl who wear liquid lipstick. The lines that show with liquid lips is extreme and not flattering what so ever.
Looks great! I need to get that lip primer. I've also been wanting to try the UD lipstick but couldn't decide on shade; Streak looks really good!
I think it made a difference. Thank u for doing this video.
Thank you for this I'm gonna try loved the results
what lip lines?? really Angie? I have yes real lip lines and I hate them and not long b4 I turnd 60 I seem to notice they had gotten more pronounced it seems my fifties I pretty much looked the same as my forties my mid-to-late forties for me I looked pretty good still but somewhere around the age of about 58 and 1/2 - 60 wrinkles just went crazy on my face. and I seemed like I aged 10 years in a year and a half!!! wonder if anybody else is like that??
ssue I haven't found anything that works for this problem. And mine are worse on bottom. I'm in my 60's .
Yep. Happened at about 56. Seemed overnight. Deep vertical lip lines. above lips.
Me too!! At the age of 58, really noticeable
Wow! I gotta get that ELF lip primer! Your lips look great Angie! xoxo CAROL
OH CAROL SHOW It's an awesome product, and so inexpensive!!
You Angie, are so pretty!! Thanks for the tips.
Back to retinal I go....waawaahhh....can't say I didn't try :-)
luv2garden1 That is so weird! Good thing for OTC retinol!!
***** Right? I'm so glad I didn't throw my other away!!
hi angie, loved this video. please do more from this book. thanx
Hi Angie! Please please do a review of Clinicians lip plumper compared to drug store brand Physicians formula. I heard they are very very similar except for price of course. Keeping my fingers crossed. Have a fabulous day!
Thanks, Angie! Have you ever reviewed City Lips? I’d like to know the science and effectiveness of that product.
thanks for the tip...I am going to get that ELF primer, too!
For how long does it last for? Do you have to buy a new bottle every so often?
Hi Angie, that was great tip! Going get some ELF primer, thanks
Love the lips but love your shirt more. Where did u get it and what brand?
What a wonderful tutorial, thank you for sharing this awesome video!
some good tips there angie.....thank you...and u could see a difference after....xxx
You look wonderful. Thank you for sharing the tip!
Hahaha..didnt know what a liquid lipstick is. Wow how time flies!😊
Angie....will definitely try the Elf primer. I think I missed the color on the UD lipstick. Very pretty. What shade were you wearing?
bethro313 It's called "Streak"
Hi Angie - great tutorial. How did the lipstick last with the primer? Any feathering or bleeding in to the lines?
Mony0425 It was much better with primer than without, but I returned it. Without primer it made my upper lip get weird horizontal wrinkling... You can see how it did against 7 other lipsticks in this video: Best & Worst ~ Lipstick Testing for Mature Women
Hi I know this is an older video, but I am 51 and I have lines above my lips, what can I do about these? I have really thought about injections , but I can't afford it on my budget. Any help would be awesome.

I just found this video and you may have forgotten it by now since it’s a year old. I was wondering if you’ve found anything to help the lip lines? I love my lipstick but it makes the lines even more visible.
@@jencrochetingradtech5913 no
I don’t see any lines above your upper lip before or after
How long did it last.
Lucky me (not)! lol
Does the elf prime and plump dry your lips out? I have very dry lips and usually only where tinted gloss.
thanks Angie!! I need lip liner, then lipstick because my lipstick bleeds ....what do you recommend??
Great tips, Angie. Although, I think I may need a trowel to fill my lines with the Elf product! Ha ha. Oh the joys of aging. Xo
natalie075 Hi Natalie! All you really need to smooth out those lip wrinkles is a big smile... and I know you have lots of those (plus easier than using a trowel!!) xo
natalie075 tgv

natalie075 you look great!
Hi Angie how interesting this was and definitely worth a try for me xo
No lip wrinkles...yet, but just wanted to say love your freckles! I think the ones on your nose make you look younger :-)
Wondering if you have tried Lip Sense? I'm considering purchasing it but I was curious what your thoughts were.
I have, here's the video: th-cam.com/video/2MlMNjaGbp4/w-d-xo.html
Hello, i just came across your channel i am about to turn 30 and I do not know if its a normal thing or if there may be so,ething wrong with my lips. My problem is evrytime I wear any lip product, even chapstick after an hour or so it starts to come off piece by my lips look sticky and it looks as if i had rubbed glue on them.
