Sandra, don't listen to those negative comments, from ignorant people. Some people on the internet think they can be mean, insulting or negative words. You generously posted your video and shared your technique. Most of us were great full. Anyone who has something less than kind to say Doesn't need to say anything!!! Haven't you heard that saying? Think how much you enjoy someone's negativity directed at YOU! Thanks for sharing, Monica
+Monica Camilli Hi dear Monica!! No worries! I can deal with that... ignoring! :D Some people feel happy by being annoying and by insulting others without no reason!... let them be happy that way... it doesn't affect me! The ones that i give my attention is nice people like you, supportive and friendly! I only pay attention to nice and constructive comments! :D Big Big kiss and thank you so much!!
+sandrartes Those people aren't happy, Sandra. And they can't figure out why. What you send ALWAYS comes back to you, ALWAYS. If you let negativity get to you, then the person that sent it got you to react just the way they wanted you to. If you don't react, it goes back to them, big time. That's why they get so miserable. Thanks for the tut.
Thank you so very much, dear Sandra, for your generosity to share your WONDERFULL ideas with us all!! I have purchased a heatgun now...(thanks to you..!). And a big bottle of liquid fimo, because I had just a tiny bit left. So...now the trying begins....I can not wait! Love from Holland, Mathilde 💖.
+Justin Elkins You get out of it what you put into it. Don't give up. Thomas Edison tried over a thousand times before he got the light bulb to work. Aren't we glad he didn't give up. Bet you've a lot of polymer clay light bulbs in you just waiting to light up. And save all of your mistakes, you can always cover with more clay and rebake them. Don't give up. The more you practice, the better you will be.
I noticed in the beginning that you have a lot of patience...creating that opening animation must have taken a long time! You are a rare person to take such time. The result is absolutely beautiful!!! Thanks so very much for sharing with all of us! They look like precious gems hanging in the window!
I’m not sure how I came across your video after it being posted so long ago but I’m glad I did. This was super cool what you did and how you did this. I would have never thought of this. I’m just getting into polymer clay and air dry clay and I love it. Watching your videos definitely broadens my thinking of clay. Thank you so much 😊
Татьяна Дьячкова Thank you so much Татьяна Дьячкова !! I use various materials in my works, not only polymer clay, and sometimes I combine them! It's very exciting!! :D Kiss!
When you rinsed out the bead and it squished, I gasped and thought "Nooo! All that work!!" :D I didn't realize the beads would be so strong! Wonderful!
noisycat Hi noisycat!! :) Yes Fimo liquid is very strong! You can use it in so many different projects :) Big Hug and thank you so much for your nice comment!! :D
Must tell what a fantastic art work really ppl like u deserve to have big chances in their life artists like u who can these much beautiful things r no less than magicians with ur art work h make smile come in face of customers when they see ur art work good work
Amazing tutorial and result. However, knowing myself, the combo of heat gun and alcohol invokes instant anxieties of 'house in flames' LOL. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and creative ideas so freely.
Hi, is it possible to make a bead like this with the cornstarch dough method? I'm sure it takes a lot more time due to oven baking, but have you tried it?
Wow. I am really amazed. I never thought that you can create something so unique and beautiful with liquid clay. They look like glass! Thank you so much for the tutorial.
Amazing, completely gorgeous! I too was completely mesmerized. I'll definitely be trying this. Thanks so much for sharing your time and talents, please keep it up!
wow when I saw this video I totally did not expect it to be this interesting! I thought it would be very simple, but it turns out that this video is very complex and creative!
Thanks for sharing such a detailed process. I've got the first coat of natural clay drying now. The alcohol markers should arrive later today and I'll also try one with the actual ink in a bottle. I love these and am crossing my fingers! Obrigado!
sandrartes: I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. I have been trying for this effect - almost getting there by experimenting - for at least two years, maybe more! I work with Fimo liquid and Pardo Translucent. And you've so generously shared on TH-cam... THANK YOU. Your tutorial was clear and easy to follow. The coloring is absolutely awesome! I make a lot of custom molds and have much work to finish right now. But the moment I get clay time to myself, I will be following your method. VERY exciting!! xxoo
The Bohemian Romantic Hello!! :D Thank you so much for your lovely words!! It's my pleasure to share my work and my experiments! We all learn more when we share! I would love to try pardo clay! I will have to look for it on the internet. Around here I can't find it... I love this process and It's even more exciting when you see the end result!! :D Big hug!!!
sandrartes You are very welcome! xo Pardo is a German company so I bet they will help you locate a distributor (try www.viva-decor.de/index.php/de/mpaw/pardo-modelliermasse/pardo-transparent-clay-de.html) I have been looking all over online to get the Hobby Time Soft Ton by Glorex in Switzerland. I did find it in England - but no place I could find it will ship to the US. Do you know what is a substitute we can obtain here? As long as the air-dry clay dissolves in water and dries hard would it be satisfactory?
Thank you for the link! :D For this project you can use any ceramic clay (potters clay). You can even use Kaolin (powder) and mix it with water to obtain the creamy liquid
sandrartes i never knew about Kaolin! Thank you! Not only can I use it for the project but also for body powder and other things - I have been looking for a natural alternative to talc for a long time! Wow!!
This is awesome! My mom(who knows nothing about translucent clays) just happened to buy me TLS and a heat gun fore Christmas! I can't wait to try this out:)
Sandra, Your a little genius! have you tried to bake this to make it more rigid? or perhaps filling with a slow cure clear(crystal clear) Epoxy to make the piece more rigid? VERY COOL!
Very interesting. I'm just getting started with fimo, and am looking for ideas. I've liked your video, and saved it to my file for easy access in the future.

***** Thank you so much Spiritual mother!! :D
Big Hug!!
WOW! Amazing & Beautiful! Thank You so much for sharing your knowledge, method, creativity, & art work!☺
That was awesome thank you for sharing your creations with us!!
I love this technique. I’m going to try this in a larger version. To create a part for a sculpture I’m doing. I’m thinking, after adding the clear liquid sculpey I will do a layer with uv resin on that. After I remove the cotton etc., I will add a variety of things inside with water, freeze if temporarily for easier closing of the hole, then apply it to my sculpture after the water inside thaws. I’m hoping it will work. I didn’t want to buy 300 mini balloons for such a small thing. I managed to find a small block of regular clay at my local art shop.
What a wonderful demonstration! So what if it is time consuming....its beautiful and you can charge more for it when you sell it. Thank you for sharing...this is something I would have never known how to do if I had not stumbled onto your video! I love the Music, too. I caught myself dancing in my chair as I watched =o) now Ill never forget the process! Thank You! =o)
This is so AWESOME. I am shocked the thin layer of the liquid fimo is that strong to being mushed around! :O
Gostaria de dar os parabéns pelos vídeos, ando a tentar fazer um presente personalizado para comemorar uma data. (claro que nao tenho tanto talento) E tem sido uma excelente ajuda.
Muito obrigada
Ingenious! Absolutely brilliant.
