- 15 giugno 2008.

I'm so glad he's finally acknowledged that this is a great piece of work.
I would have spent +$1000 to see this live
lol, David still playing his lapsteel with one hand while he rips his fender out with the other! Legend!
Playing this number live again since 1972! Incredible!!!
each member of the band has at some point denounced this song, but i think deep down they were just afraid of criticism. this is true greatness
Ma quanto è stato bello esserci stati?! Pelle d'oca. ❤
Pure brilliance. Pink Floyd is the greatest band of all time.
lejos de todo!
gracias por la musicaaaaa!!!!!!!!
Amazing, it's great to see David playing this legendary song once again, even if he doesn't finds it that good. Keep rocking Dave!
A true masterpiece.
I saw the premiere of this at the Bath Blues Festival 1970?.
Floyd came on about 3.00 in the morning.
The climax had the Red Arrows flying overhead.
Awesome!!!
Amazing. Totally. Thanks Dave!
OMFG. A live choir AND orchestra!!! My favorite Pink Floyd album of all time!!! I would have killed to be there! A musical masterpiece that only Gods can create
Truly beautiful!
che spettacolo !
a masterpiece
absolutely amazing. THank you! Grazie!!
They are very lucky to play with the greatest
Grazie!
gilmour is so cool, he must have been born with a strat in his hands!
SHIT YESS atom heart mother :D i loved this the first time i heard it so peculiar and strange of a song but you just gotta love it , and the change between the lapsteel solo and the black strat one is flawless
love love love !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this man is a genius
That was incredible !
my favorite song of pink floyd
49 years old and this song still is as beautiful as it was when I was 16... Thanks for posting it.
excellent, trop bon de voir le concert!!!
Great ! Thank you!
MEGAviglioso!!!!!
MUCHAS GRACIAS AL QUE SUBIO ESTE VIDEO quedará para la posteridad
Amazing.
A really strange but wonderful album, and it got to number 1, great clip
It must be so fucking amazing to have a cover band and then one day the great David Gilmour plays with you.
What he actually said was that the brass players were not very experienced at recording, which caused tension. Ron Geesin said "I was cracking up through pressure of work, and not being able to handle hard brass players, who can be vicious."
Nick Mason said "Roger and I had to record the entire rhythm section in one pass... it was a 23 minute piece. It was probably about the fourth or fifth take before we got all the way through it, it was so difficult to remember where the hell we were in the piece" also "if there was some way of pulling it out, I'd quite like to play something like that again. Just the vocal section. I'm less fond of the brass parts."
sempre e solo david
eccezzionale!!
Pure bliss
beautiful
Beautiful.. thanks for the upload
Oh, if I could have been there for that show!
Assolutamente d'accordo!
GRAZIE RAGAZZI
great song
:D ciao!
I was there! Great to see this clip.
As stated in Italian in the text, this is the reprise played as an encore. You can tell as Andrea Beghi of Mun is wearing his cow hat (he didn't during the main performance).
Clip eccellente!
wow
grazie per l'upload :)
This is my all time favorite. It's so beautifull! Best Floyd song, wish I was there to see this.MAGIC
hermoso!!1
I never thought any member of the Pink Floyd would ever agree to play this song ever again.
Almost three minutes of Sheer Heaven. DG should go on the road with a brass section and choir. Please DG .... it's not self-indulgence when thousands would die to see and hear it. We never fell out of love with AHM even if you guys did .
Da piangere!
Super!
David Gilmour said on the BBC in 1994 said the piece was a whole mish-mash. He is still proud of "Fat Old Sun" on Atom Heart Mother but he considered the title cut a bit of a mish-mash (some sections he likes, others not so much) and the brass players were not experienced horn players.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
indelible!
thank you for both clips, dear Italian friends, lovely to hear that good sound! your sense of humour is just great. really enjoyed it. can we have more please?
the word of gord
Grande Gilmour
Surprising. I recall David Gilmour saying something smiliar to "Mother is the low point of our artistic endeavour", and that he would not perform it even for a hundred million pounds.
Magical. I was there on the 14 June. It was very special, even without Dave. Does anyone have the full video of the 14 or 15 June performance? The people at Cadogan Hall were being VERY strict on people taking photos or videos. There was even a couple of folks who were going into the seated audience during the performance to stop them taking photos or video. For such a special event, this was very unfair..!!
This ....is Immortality
impresionante!!!!!!!!!!!
i love GibSon GuitArS
How cannot be an official release of this on DVD??
this is a musical orgasm!!! epic!!! i want to cry!!!
@grooverockband WOW! I probably would have almost had a spaz attack when I would have found out that I was playing next to Gilmour!!!!
AHM isn't for everyone, but i think it's one of floyd's best, too.
I little fun fact, the black strat he is using here is actually a proto type of his signature fender guitar coming out October 2008, its suppose to be a replica of his famous black strat, or as close as possible anyway.
SPETTACOLARE
70's. Atom Heart Mother was released in 1971
1970
Holy shit! I need the full video!
@tjrtherocksponge It's almost the same thing I've said. DG was playing a prototype of the Black Strat Signature coming from Fender Custom Shop. I'm quite sure since Phil Taylor told me what kind of black strat was actually.
@Anaben11 I'm the "guy on the left"... The guitar's not a Gilmour's replica. It's a 1977 Stratocaster with X1 Fender bridge pickup. Cheers
epic!
j'entends les anges!
GRAN TEMA. DURA 25 MINUTOS
im with the coolmaster guy floyd released atom heart mother in 70
RIP Rick Right!
You're coming along, kid. The only thing is that Rick never left willingly. He was blackmailed into leaving the band by Roger, who refused to release "The Wall" until Rick was out of the band.
We are a cover band from Brazil and played Atom Heart Mother with orchestra and choir, see our work, thanks!
Very good
@myinterestingfish the song atom heart mother is a pure MASTERPIECE!!!
0:40 he is a Master!
Insane
I didn't know that Gilour did that, he always claimed he hated that one...
I wish I was there
@bomboloneallacrema : well it's not just a copy of the Black Strat. It's a 1977 series with a different bridge pick up and the other two similar to the black strat. Gilmour that night have played a prototype of the Black Strat signature, not the original one
what is 1977 series?
i almost cant watch this those people are so fucking lucky
@tjrtherocksponge i was speaking mainly of Atom Heart Mother song in general, theres plenty of articles on it, but most of what i was saying was information mostly comeing from Nick Masons book Inside and Out Pink Floyd.
