Whatever government official approved this should be president!
I’m saying!!
@@Taylordrifts Right? Clearly a basic understanding of the finer things in life! Do you actually have their name? We will watch their career with great interest. Might be good to call this person out on your channels, at least for helping the motorists/tourism
if im being honest I think jimmy said who they where but I don’t remember
@@Adam_B he talks about him in the last video from a previous event they held, but it's Mark Maynard who is a WV senator. they also do events around Lynch, Kentucky.
@@sirmonkey1985 politicians are all dog shit trash
Oh no! A LS miata rebuild?? That's terrible!! (absolutely jumping for joy, can't wait lmao)
You and me both! I’ve been itching to for years now. It’s earned it.
I’ve heard he wants to put a nascar motor in the Miata 👀
@@shaun6437i’ve head that too 😅
@@shaun6437 Nascar miata does have a nice ring to it. It's like an oxymoron haha
@@shaun6437 probably could look into hitting up cleetus for the dale truck setup since that thing is getting swapped out for 4wd things
The camera angle on the top of the car is absolutely the best for this!
Agreed. Drone footage would be sick too
thanks for being cool and carrying on a conversation w me, glad you got to enjoy the hills again.
wasn't your fault fr fr
The LS miata is my favourite car in the fleet, she takes abuse and loves it! And that engine has been unbelievable, great power and the reliability is outstanding! I bet if you looked at the total run time on that engine, it lived a good 90% on the limiter. If any car deserves a refresh, this is it. Can’t wait for the strip down and revival
one of my favorite cars on TH-cam, she definitely deserves a refresh. In my opinion it’s up there with the Boostedboiz hatch and Leroy.
Yep- started watching him work on it in the little garage w big Fed and the Cummins ramcharger
Definitely the “hero car” of Taylor’s channel I think.
You ever watch Garage Idiots? He's got a few awesome projects. I love the mr2 bug he did.
@@SketchyAsFunk of course I watch that idiot Preston. I’m originally from Colorado so I try to fallow all the guys from out there.
@nocoasthero1204 oh dope!
Holy shit balls was that Danger Dan at the drivers meeting?!? Miss seeing that dude on YT.
pretty sure he works for RTR
@@flyingxfilms2025 plus i think he does his own thing on youtube these days as well
He might work for RTR, but he hasn’t posted on his channel in over a year.
@@doc3379 think he does fab work for RTR. Not sure how those guys work, full time, contract or project only...I see him pop up at drift events often. Just doing his own thing
@@coreytrevor3910He's on the RTR FD pit crew but I'm sure he fabs when they need him. You see him a lot in James and Vaughn's videos. First saw him building the shark kart at Hoonigan and now he's on a big boy race team, happy for him!
Love the Miata! That car is right up there with Leroy for me. I came to the channel after seeing you help Cleetus way back, and stayed after watching this car, and you of course, just destroy drift tracks. You and Ben beating on those cars was my favorite part of the channel. The car just sounds soooo good! Whatever you do, don't change the sound.
Your killing it Taylor!!
You're
@@supermotos who actually gives a shit this is youtube not an english class.
@@Fritfa English class is supposed to teach you how to write for the rest of your life, not just pass a test and forget everything. The yours and theres are elementary shit man, it's not hard
The first full send lap was pretty baller lol. I love the miata man. Such a cool story with that car
I liked the cam changes while drifting this go around
Taylor needs to get one of the new GoPros with the high contrast mode for the cage mounted cam. Adam LZ was talking about it on a video a while ago when they came out and it makes a huge difference with being able to clearly see through the sun on the windshield without the car interior being super dark. So many of these shots are hella washed out because of the sun :(
Might be time to start the nascar engine idea you have been talking about, the R5P7 dodge nascar V8 would go crazy in the miata
That's slade hill! I live right at the top of this hill, awesome seeing and hearing you guys rip up and down. That can be sketchy hill to drive in general, couldn't imagine drifting it lol
Can’t wait for the series of the Miata Rebuild Vids ‼️🔥🔥
I know you said in the podcast that your driving vids don’t get as many views, but that’s what I’ve loved about this channel - it’s diverse. Some days you’ll get builds, some days you’ll get driving vids.
Either way, keep up the great work man!
Well... it sucks to suck.. just have to look forward to seeing the miata rebuild( hopefully soon!)
Loved this experience. Thanks for taking us along for the ride, again as always.
I love the driving content! Glad your okay and excited to see the rebuild!
Holy driver mod dude. You were crushing those hills and carrying tons of speed!!! Gnarly
This was one of the most enjoyable videos I've seen on your channel! The cool road trip, accommodation and drifting adventure that wasn't just another made track or competition focused event was so awesome to see unfold. Great camera angles in such a cool environment and I'm glad you kept in all the smaller parts of the journey like the tricky driveway at the Air Bnb. Truly awesome!
A stroker LS3 would be awesome in the Miata plus you would save on the fact that your car is already set up to take an LS platform! That titanium exhaust probably wasn’t cheap at all and having to redo it for another type of engine alone would be a pretty penny
Your an absolute beast man so glad I was able to make it out to the car show
Great Stuff Taylor! Always love the driving, and it looks intense. Can't wait to see what you do to the Miata, luv that car. Take care and truly enjoyed the vids!
this is wild looking footage. looks so fast in car. you are flying!
Thank you Taylor for making these videos. You inspired me to LS swap my bmw and I hope to rebuild my car while you rebuild the Miata
10:22 You forgot to bleep ;) @Taylordrifts
Cool video, I like the roof camera. I feel like you should use the Miata for these events simply because it is so easy to wreck. It is one of my favorite too, it was the working man’s drift car and grew from there, I think that’s what appeals to me most. Im looking forward to the rebuild, but also really want to see your no prep car again.
Dude! Your tune is mad because it’s compensating all the time for an issue when you turn left!!!! Every clip after 10 mins when you turn left your exhaust is opening up somewhere near the door and straight or turning right listen to the exhaust note difference!! 20 mins in loving it! Also look at your voltage if that’s what shows bottom right of your screen seeing in the 11 sometimes lots of fluctuations gotta check grounds
Love the original build videos of this car and can't wait to see how crazy the rebuild is going to be
I appreciate your videos and how it’s still a one man show keeps me watching
Cars can be fixed! Happy you are safe.
That was amazing, we visit an area like that also in Kentucky and I know what the roads are like and can not imagine going 70 anywhere on any mountain road in Kentucky!
Taylor your Miata is so awesome. Can't wait to see the rebuild and more videos with the car.
Noice!! I watched Jimmy's and didn't know I'd get a 2nd helping from Taylor
Yeah. Maybe we'll get a Grant video to finish it off🔥
Killing it Taylor! Always great driving!
Looks so fun! I bet the most challenging thing is transitioning from sunlight to shaded area especially with tire smoke.
I caught a few other popular YTer''s vids on this event before yours. You sent it sooooo much harder than any of them!
I remember following the original build series. Can’t wait to see it fully dialed again
HOLLEY have known crank sensor issues.
Change the sensor and check the gap to the tone wheel. 😁
Hell Yes....Miata with a new engine and dogbox!! I love your content, you entertain me immensely!
Noticed your water stains on the headliner of the megacab, I’ve been there done that, thought it was the sunroof but turns out it was either the 3rd brake light or the satellite radio antenna at the passenger rear of the cab. I siliconed around those two things and the leaking stopped. Used simple green and a microfiber rag to dab up all the water spots on the headliner to make it look new again.
I am glad to see more people enjoy my home in South Eastern Kentucky. I wish I would have known about this event before hand. I actually drove past it on the Mountain Parkway going towards Lexington Friday and was like wonder what’s going on over there? 😆
I am so ready for a rebuild series on the Miata! Will be good to see the ol girl get the love she deserves
Love the driving videos, these Drift Appalachia events look amazing.
Thanks for sharing.. wish I could have went .. cheers.
I have been out of drifting for a long time like 6 or 7 years now and ive had a 46 chilling waiting most of that time your videos along with a couple events i have been to recently has made me organize the shop and get it in just wanted to say thank you and you are killing it also im sure you going r07 for the engine but ive wanted to do a sb 2.2 for years itll be sick to see someone actually do it the fear cause by the sound in chase is going to be a benefit of its own haha
Great work Taylor!
Man that was some great shots. Thanks for the great content
Never expected to see you around Red River Gorge! Such a cool area and even cooler with drift cars ripping those roads
Considering how long and how well the Miata has just put in work with no real issues it was bound to happen eventually. Can't wait to see the next evolution!
the ole miata has done damn good over the years! definetly deserves a re-fresh cause it seems to be an absolute weapon for these mountain events. looking forward to the rebuild, maybe even some cosmetic work??
It was so cool seeing you in Stanton with all the boys! Didn’t say hi cause I didn’t want to intrude but the Miata was so cool in person!!
It was really cool to meet you this weekend Taylor, never thought i'd see you in Kentucky !
I live in Stanton ky! I wish I would have went to the drive in to meet some of you guys. Hope you all come back soon!!
Man that would have been some crazy shots with a Selfie stick and 360 cam on the back : )

i stayed in the exact same airbnb! we were visiting the corvette museum where ours was built in bowling green!
Very seasoned driver. Like seeing a freestyle master riding any beat.
When ya send it like you do, bound to happen.😅 Youre a hell of a driver that’s for sure 👍🏻
i love watching you drive man
I too am looking fwd to the Miata rebuild. The Ls swap is when I joined the channel 🎉
Bro painted his trailer wheels bronze. F it, 😂. Love it.
Love the racing/driving content.
I think i saw you rolling through Ashville NC! Cool to see the Miata in person! That thing is a beast!
Hey that's where LGR lives
With trips like this. I love the POV. Another banger. Gd shit
S happening Taylor you always had plenty people going with you on drifting vents but just lately you've been on your own stay safe buddy.
Another Miata evolution, about damn time TBH. He seems so much more in control and in tune with the Miata chassis than the Vette. Not that he isn't smooth with the Vette, just the Miata damn It's probably seat time but I've never seen anyone finesse a Miata like this guy can
Hi been watching you a while… noticed on a video from a while back with you explaining suspension set up the Miata you have the from lower ball joint alllll the way in. I have the exact same angle kit on my Miata + rear upper arms (I know your running modified uppers in the rear).
I had a similar problem of wheels rubbing the front at full lock (I don’t have rack spacers or anything spacing anything for steering). I found a few outter tie rod options for different tie rod ends that work on Miata inner tie rods and allow you to bump the ball joint all the way out if desired (mine are all the way out no wheel rub? Idk it works tho).
Stock NA outter is 3.7”
S13 outters 3.94”
Stanza/axxess outter 4.41” (what I have on)
As for inner you could run
Stock NA inner 12.56” (what I have)
Mazda 323 inner 12.09”
I found the stanza outters allow you to bump lowers all the way with plenty of adjustment for it and still have plenty of thread to bite.
Just figured I’d throw this out there as I know they don’t exactly make extended tie rods for Miata’s and bumping lower ball joint out isn’t rlly an option stock. Hope this is useful somehow!!! Love the Miata build and has been pretty inspiring for my build and where I want to go with it keep up the awesome work I know I love watching it! 31:43
Sick drift video, been missing them
That was wild, really enjoy the driving content too!
Never thought I would see Taylor drifting the backroads 30 minutes from me! If you make it back next year I’d love to come see this and bring y’all some good Kentucky BBQ!
I would really love to experience that rush. Man does it look exilerating. Anyways great content as usual. Much love to ya from Maryland❤❤❤
Drifting next to the Whitiker’s house up in the hollar
Keep it NA Taylor!
427 solid roller would be my choice. Oh , like the Texas Speed you told Cleetus to get for Donnie.
pretty excited for the miata rebuild homie, the ol' girl is overdue for a birthday. sick driving though man, im glad you were able to make the best of it!
Lol at the camo'ed test vehicle. While living in Michigan I've had long stretches where I'd see at least one every day!
Great content thanks for sharing
This car needs a full rebuild and make it mint, it needs to be the car for this type of stuff ,the corvette is the comp car ,the miata has found its place.
Problem is the comps he built the Vette for don't exist anymore.
Epic video Taylor
Thanks for the efforts 😎🤙🦅
Thanks for your commenting efforts lol
I can't wait to see the miata rebuilt series!
The miata is perfect for these kind of events! Nice and small for the tight roads and not as heartbreaking if it ends up in the ditch compared to the vet.
Brother the headliner in your truck is held up with magnets. Take the pillars out and it pops right down. Should pressure wash/sun dry it once you figure out the water leak :) lol
I'm stupid I forgot it was a ram, that's false^
Cool trip. That Plymouth was fun to see.
Hell yeah!! 🤘🏽 that is the true meaning of” Shred the Gnar”.
Street driving that thing was nice! Couldn't imagine pulling up next to M. Bison on the street!
Vince always drives with mad angle. Love his style. Looks like he pushed it a tad too hard. But from what I’ve heard this setup was a lot harder than WV
Yeah he’s soooo smooth. The road got pretty loose on the second half of the last day so lots of people were overshooting. I noticed it. Like I would come into the hairpins and the car would float further than I anticipated. I always had margin in hand so it was fine. But definitely noticed the lack of side bite while still having a lot of forward speed.
@@Taylordrifts Yeah my brother(Vince) stated that. Said the road was super sketchy. From what I’ve seen. The videos posted of him was pretty legit. Both of you overall did ripped. Was super hyped to see the after vids. 🤟🤙
the way you built this thing taylor ray its my number one most loved car i love this car to death bro good build i cant belive you finely crashed it its sooooo sad please fix it asap lol
Oh damn you were in Slade, that thatchers bbq is bomb
Crazy for drifting to look that intense on camera! Btw I'm still hoping for you to start a podcast I think that'd make my year lmao
Thats so awesome that you were in Kentucky! Im only an hour or two from where you were! I drive roads like that every day, I live on a road nicknamed "the rattlesnake" lol
Damn what baller is drifting an e92 m3 sounded 🔥🔥
This takes me back to the good ole days, except we were looking in the rear view the whole time for blue lights! lol
I am actually more excited for the miata rebuild than the the no prep car build
Taylor Ray! Looks like you have water intrusion/leak in the truck. Water staining can be seen at 11:55. Maybe seal the third brake light with silicone/ check the drains for the sunroof. 💯
Had a initial D flash back when you was explaining the uphill vs down hill.
Didn't expect to see the Reet VL Calais chilling at 24:44 🦘
good lord that miata is gonna sound even better
That is some flipping gnarly driving.
Good times nicely done 👍
Saw you in Stanton. Thanks for the fist bump!
