Anyone with minor alcohol or party going experience would know not to mix two different drugs unless you want to get fucked up. Our group learned that in highschool when a classmate died of alcohol poisoning from Jaeger bombs

As for Alcohol and Coffee, it depends. Cause Irish Coffee is a thing, as well as Cafe Liqueur. Granted you are not staying awake with that. Alcohol beats caffeine. So it's a knock out, either by gently relaxing, or a total crash.
Energy drink + Alcohol is another. And I say.... No. just fucking NO. An insane college classmate did that once on one of our parties at a bar. Vomited immediately afterwards, class never tried that shit ever again.
Well I mean there's a drink called a trashcan where it's alcohol mixed with redbull but I've never had one

AFAIK, mixing caffeine and alcohol can make you feel less drunk than you actually is, so doing this makes you more prone to alcohol poisoning because you can't tell you've had enough.
When those Niji JP stream recommended a 1:1 ratio mixed of alcohol and energy drink was already made a human liver screaming and cursing on you. What's more it's allegedly strongly recommended by Nijisanji staff without doing health research or asking some professional Bartender. That's down right "incompetence" and "ignorance".

The ASAP energy drink has few mg of caffeine BUT that doesn't mean its not gonna have bad side effects when mixed alcohol at 1:1 ratio as advertised by that stream because we don't know what the consumers will do with that information(and that people have different sensitivity depending on the dose, AND their demographic also includes teenagers) that may cause a health emergency which is why the Ministry of Japanese Fisheries had to step in and posted a notice.
i was so scared to hear of another Mikeneko scandal and i'm so happy it's nothing terrible this time
in fact i'd say both handled the situation really maturely, apologizing after the fact and not blowing the conflict out of proportion
other than the disgruntled posts, which are understandable, that's a huge W for her
this is showing a more mature side of her, that I think will help her in the future

I think is less about caffeine and alcohol mixed and more about the "energy" part of the drink which conflict with effects of alcohol
You can mix caffiene and alcohol (irish coffee, redbull vodka, etc.) but it's the quantity of the mix that matters. 1:1 is potentially too much for some people
I honestly really feel for mikeneko. Being a longtime fan, I know all of these constant dramas are draining for her, mentally.
she seems to want to make a change, and be better, so that is very very good
While a lot of her drama was basically her shooting herself in the foot, I gotta agree that she doesn’t deserve the constant harassment that came after and also this unprofessional dm leaking. She made her mistakes, she paid the price for them, give her a chance to learn from these mistakes and become better. All of us would also want a chance if we were at our lowest.

Honestly, I legit couldn't believe that today, Production Kawaii actually outlived Prism Project, given the scandals it used to have, especially when compared to the likes of Prism that had little to no scandals when it was still around. Losing an entire gen is not something you can easily brush off the side, but Production Kawaii has surprisingly hold on long enough until the hate storm passes
I followed it pretty closely back then until Hana Flores had to graduate, and only follow it moderately since then, then stopped because I genuinely thought the agency would die out after 3rd gen's mass graduations
But seeing the concerts held and how the talents nowadays seems to be genuinely happy being there made me think that maybe this agency is worth checking out again

Caffine and alchol is not inherently bad together, irish coffee is a staple foe a reason.
But the problems is that people that are unaware of the problems drinking both may drink too much of both at the same time, and the damage is not pretty at all

I try not to send a huge amount of notifications, so not to fill your feed. that may be why. livestreams automatically get sent out.

Are antis so desperate to bash Nijisanji that they'll pretend mixing alcohol and caffeine is like mixing ammonia and bleach? These sort of drinks are common (Rum and Coke, Irish Coffee, Vodka Red Bull, etc.). The problem isn't the drink itself. The problem comes from this old wive's tale that being perked up is the same as being sobered up. People used to think drinking coffee would sober you up when in reality, it just makes you a more awake drunk. Girly drinks have a similar problem, with the sweet taste masking the sheer amount of alcohol in them. If you aren't aware of how much alcohol you're drinking, you can trick yourself into thinking you're not drunk and drinking way more than you should. And when underage drinkers do something they saw in a youtube video and drinking way more than they should, then you get a scenerio when the government has to step in and lecture everyone. This isn't a "black company" problem, it's a "teenagers being teenagers" problem.

The "staff" were most likely ASAP staff because why would it be the staff of a vtuber agency and not the staff of the company selling drinks? It was dumb not to have a "for 20+ only, please drink responsibly" disclaimer from the very beginning, but that's all Anycolor did wrong here.
If everyone wants their drama fix that badly, look into the past of Vox Akuma (aka Vade, VadeVA, Vadelith, Vadelyth, Vaderlyth, Calysto). The Doki controversy is nothing compared to what will happen if the public finds out what this guy has done. The guy is a total predator, multiple former friends can confirm this, and Nijisanji was warned and they ignored it. THAT is actually worth talking about.

Nobody should be pushed into making attempts, because if someone actually succeeds, it is generally considered that the devil has felled another soul. I don't wish that fate upon anyone, not even "villains" like Elira, or Vox, or Riku. Mikeneko has already dodged a bullet once, I'd rather she doesn't try again.
Just one quick thing, the “energy drink” they recommend only has about 50mg of caffeine per can, just slightly more than a coke.

It's still more than a normal cup of coffe, and it still doesn't matter, it's always a really bad idea to mix alcohol with caffeine.

So mixing it is kinda the equivalent of a rum and coke. Nothing like a Red Bull vodka a jagerbomb
It's not about the strength. Some people are known to have palpitation reactions to caffeine and who knows what else in various energy drinks. General rule is that if stimulant chemicals are at play, mixing them can potentially lead to bad outcomes and is not meant for everyone to consume in this manner.
have you considered other additives in that energy drink? coffee and and energy drink has different ingredients. coffee is the pure caffeine lover, while energy drink has sugar, this asap club has 550 mg of arginine, L-dopa, the source of dopamine, which is derived from Mucuna
Leaking DMs just because of a slight lack of communication is not right at all and petty. Shame on the mixer, have some patience. Heck, this type of leak for impatience reasons is common in the artist space, it's sad.

By exposing other countries' alcohol to bad things, they also ruined the image of that country's alcohol.
They created KR just for Japan, then inappropriately got rid of it, and now they have created a bad image for KR alcohol.

That line gets blurred when it comes to business though. Let's say you had to resolve payment and delivery on a purchase. Do you want the seller to leak your emails just because they don't like you? or would you expect a higher level of professionalism?

Same goes for any time you use your creditcard to make a purchase. They COULD leak all your information if they wanted to, but you have a reasonable expectation that they won't.
