First we will be talking about Ookami Mio going to the hospital for the long term, as she lets everyone know she will do her best to recover. Korone, a genmate, is also out sick. When you were in school playing games all day and have bad sleeping schedule was okay but as you get older it start to get harder. Plus since they are Idol I heard they still do some kind of work beside streaming + Japan work ethic that tend to overwork their worker. Having sick worker is normal for a company but for many of them get hospitalised something need to be change with their work schedule
now Im worried about Kaela too, since she says she is take a nap for 10-15 minutes then go streaming again with rarely take a sleep.
I thinking of May blues tho. It's spring, pollen everywhere. And the temperature change affecting everyone.
My own observation because everyone around me is sick rn, for some reason.

8:30 all major usage of hololive IP's are reviewed by holo live staff to ensure it meets certain requirements. if it doesn't meet the requirements the company requests them to make modifications to ensure they meet them. i am not aware of them cancelling any fan made events after the first year.

Not exactly a rumor. Basically Fubuki wanted to recruit her friend from their school days, Mio. But the 1st gen already debuted and the 2nd gen already on the way. So Mio had to wait. Then Fubuki and Mio went around to arcades, Fubuki saw Okayu and Korone gaming and basically went up and recruited them to Hololive. Theres 3 members now, not enough for a 3rd gen. Fubuki's solution is to debut the 4 of them as Gamers.
Hopefully they all get better. Streaming and work is great and all but personal health should always come first. Healthy body is core for everything else. Hololive at least learned something from Haato incident and managed to release an early notice, rather than what happened before we only get a status update after months of waiting. But it is Hololive, at least we know they arent punished or on the way to be terminated like at a certain company.

Niji relying on defamation laws is booty cheeks for a few reasons. One, posting actual criticism that especially can be proven is not considered slander or libel, only if it's objectively false. Two, Niji is a public figure, which makes it that much harder to prove defamation over a private citizen. Three, trying to silence people for these criticisms is a violation of 1st Amendment rights, especially if it's not actually untrue, and Niji has a lot of nasty things that have leaked that show there's something very suspicious going on over there.
At worst, this literally does nothing and they're blowing hot air. At best, someone's government gets real interested in them and completely bars them from hiring people in their country. I don't know how likely this is, but as LM said, governments don't like it when you cheat them out of money, and he's suggested Niji has been doing that by avoiding labor laws in other nations.
to counter your argument
1. they are using the Japanese Law on Defamation, which doesn't care about truth or false, if it is done with malicious intent, you are able to be sued
2. any evidence, no matter how small can be used against you in Japan
3. your 1st Amendment (I'm guessing you are a US citizen) doesn't apply anywhere in the world, except the US.
but I agree with you that their claim isn't enforceable except if it's done inside Japan.
To counter counter the 3rd point, it is enforceable if Niji keeps wanting to grab US people specifically and find out the US has taken issue with what they're doing. Canada has even more of a reason to enforce some kind of compliance because of Doki alone. Niji literally can't pull their Japanese bull if they ever want to do what Cover is doing and expand in the West, because if they start making actual offices in the US or Canada, they are now open to be taken to US or Canadian court. And Niji is not winning a battle against an entire government, especially when they have actually violated their labor laws.

I'm guessing you don't know about international law, every country has their version. In India defamation is called defamation even if it's completely true and factually correct. Simply receiving damage to your reputation from someone else is defamatory.
In Japan it's not THAT bad, but they still don't care about the truth of the claim.

One thing about Mio and Korone being absent for health reasons is we know Yagoo will ensure they get the best care for however long they need.
At least Korone will be fine. I'd be more concerned about Mio, since an undisclosed disease was mentioned and it sounds more serious than Haachama.
Haachama's was waaaay worse. With the way Miosha is already planning on sharing her hospitalization in her tweet tells me it'll be a short break, maybe a month or two.

Announcement of Measures Taken to Combat Defamation and Other Infringements of Rights

Thank you for your continued support of COVER Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "COVER Corp.") and its VTuber agency, hololive production.
At COVER Corp., our dedicated team of staff members has worked together with our lawyers to combat slander and other acts of infringement (hereinafter referred to as "infringements of rights").
The following is a report of the measures taken during a one year period, from January 2023 to December 2023.
Measures Taken Against Infringements of Rights of Affiliated Talents
Number of infringement of rights cases handled in the time period: 116
COVER Corp. is taking ongoing measures to report infringement of rights incidents found on Internet forums, social media, and other websites.
In addition, we are taking steps to prevent further incidents by negotiating with and taking legal action against administrators of certain malicious aggregator websites that may exist and encourage infringement of rights.
The following is an excerpt from the report on the aforementioned measures.
Outline of Actions Taken
1. Legal Action Against Infringements of Rights on Online Forums and Social Media
Among posts on online forums and social media services, including the service known as X (formerly Twitter), COVER Corp. is both preparing to and currently implementing requests for disclosure of sender information ("disclosure requests") for particularly malicious posts.
Specifically, 14 disclosure requests were filed in 2023 alone, and nine of them were disclosed. In four of these cases, the parties reached settlements on the terms and conditions requested by COVER Corp., including compensation for damages and a ban on future social media posts regarding our company and any affiliated talents.
COVER Corp. will continue taking legal action and is currently responding to ongoing court proceedings for disclosure requests and settlement negotiations.
In addition to disclosure requests, we are also taking such actions as to delete and report infringing posts and accounts, with existing ones having been removed.
2. Legal Action Against Harassment Directed at Overseas Talents
Malicious acts such as harassment against our overseas talents are dealt with through swift legal action, including issuing warnings through local attorneys and COVER Corp. will continue to build rapport with them going forward in an effort to promptly respond to any infringements of rights that may occur as we expand abroad.
3. Legal Action Against Aggregator Websites
Negotiations and legal action have been taken against the administrators of certain aggregator websites, other sites which were determined to have infringed on our copyrights and other rights, and post information that contains defamation against COVER Corp. or its talents - settlement agreements have been reached with some of the administrators of these and other websites.
As of the date of this report, responses against 5 particular websites have been concluded, with responses against several other administrators still underway.
In addition, a system has been established which will allow us to cooperate with certain aggregator websites to more quickly delete submissions and comments that defame COVER Corp. and any affiliated talents.
4. Legal Action Against Criminal Response
Any information related to harmful submissions on online forums, including those that may threaten the life or well-being of our talents or employees, are promptly shared with and reported to local authorities.
Please note that we are unable to provide details regarding ongoing criminal cases.
5. Cooperation with Business Partners
COVER Corp., in cooperation with our business partners, will continue to form and enact legal measures, such as damage claims and any other necessary actions, against acts that may interfere with the business operations of any parties involved, including but not limited to COVER Corp., its affiliated talents, and any business associates.
6. Cooperation with Stakeholders
In December 2022, COVER Corp. released a joint statement with ANYCOLOR, Inc. (cover-corp.com/en/news/detail/20221205_announcement_en) aimed at eradicating defamatory acts against our affiliated talents.
In July 2023, we released an additional joint statement announcing the formation of a “Anti-Defamation Study Group” with the cooperation of Google LLC, note inc., UUUM Co., Ltd., ANYCOLOR, Inc., and related experts.
COVER Corp. representatives thereafter attended and spoke at the Anti-Defamation Forum held in December 2023 in an ongoing effort to further cooperate with our stakeholders.
COVER Corp. will continue to improve our internal structure and strengthen cooperation between our legal advisors and judicial institutions, taking stringent measures against defamation and any other malicious acts toward our talents and providing a safer working environment for our talents.
We would like to thank our fans for their continued support of our talents.

I am %100 sure that this is one of the biggest problems with Japan’s mental health statistics.
