    The way that glue works is coat both side, let it sit, then when you put together, it will bond. I hope you don’t get a disaster

    How did you scribe the curve, never saw how you scribed that curve but it looks like a nice fit. I put ship lap in our porch that was primed from Home Depot. For an 8x12’ enclosed porch, I hand picked every piece to only get straight lumber. I probably touched 10 pieces for every good one I got, but it turned out perfectly. Some of your cupping would probably have been ok if you were toe nailing into wood, it may lay down. Future suggestion. When you work on the roof, put a small piece of plywood where you need to stand. Next, you bent the plywood across the grain, you should have turned the panels the other way so they would bend. I can’t find 1/8” Luan anywhere locally at Home Depot or Lowes, only 5 mm and it’s too thick to bend tight radius’s

    Just came cross this video and you have the exact camper we have. We too totally redid the inside to modernize it. Unfortunately we found a water leak so we have are having to reopen some spaces. But we do love the camper. Great video.

    Paint the wood Furnature white and use the grey stain from Home Depot, on top of the white!!
    You let the white paint dry and then apply the grey stain with an old towel, leave for 30 second and wipe the grey stain of with an older towel ! It looks amazing!! A little stain goes a long way!

    Wow, you two made the gluing of the fiberglass painfully difficult, actually indescribable lol. Look up gluing Formica, although I don’t think you guys will do another project like this but it’s good to know. Regardless of that you did great, you just took the long way around. Cheers 🍺🍺🍺

    Being on the interior bedroom area, you should have sprung for a nice piece of poplar or clear piece of fir or pine. That looks like an old piece of treated crappy wood, sorry but true.

  • @canadiansparky64

    I just had a 60 foot tree fall on my slide out Dec. 01 2021, pushed the front corner of the slide out to the ground, mangled some aluminum framing as well, also replacing it with wood framing where I can. The factories use luan crap to make ultra lites and super lites but it's like laminating 3 sides of a beer box together, but I think that would even be stronger. The question I wanted to ask is did you have any issues or reactions to the locktight gluing to the styrofoam (melting)? Yours looks grate by the way.

    • @TopLineRacer
      @TopLineRacer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks for watching. No issues that I can remember with the gluing. It didn't come out perfect, we definitely have more waves in it than I'd like but it's water tight.
