What I appreciate about you Liz is that you are real and unique. I love your content just the way it is so please don’t change. My grown son and I are midway through watching Evan’s videos and I’m somewhat bummed. He and I were going to try to hike some of the CT (our backyard) this past summer but my mother got sick and I went to CA to take care of her for 6 months. She died on 9/7 so we never got to hike. I hope you guys liked it so much you want to come back and do the Collegiate East. Anyway, love your videos and love who you are. Stay real.
Seems like you have taken a few days to acclimate to elevation and that really helps. When I visit my daughter in Montana, it takes me about four days and then I am fine. You will love this trail. The heat is dry heat and the nights are cool for great sleeping. Hydrate frequently and enjoy. I am jealous.
I saw your video and at the beginning, I wondered if you and Evan keep in touch. I saw his AT documentary several years ago and then watched yours. Then you guys picked him up at the airport! That's awesome! Best wishes for hike!
Honestly your content is theeeee best!! I finished in Durango Sunday and can’t wait to follow your experience along the same trail! All the best and hopefully you can go as slow as you need to in order to dodge heat/lightening/ or take it at easy pace. I had a time constraint and the anxiety was hideous!
I saw Evan’s first day on trail yesterday and today you posted a pre-trail video. This could take some getting used to. Nice to see you all together. It seems like both you and Evan have some doubts....you can do it.
I've section hiked the CT the last 2 years to (2021-Den-Breck) (2022 Breck-Twin Lakes). I started right away after flying into Denver from Ohio my first year and it wasn't too bad for me. Just the first night was rough. Last year I started in Breck but flew in 2 days before to acclimate and I had no problems at all. Everyone is different. Next year I'm continuing on from Twin Lakes so we'll see how that goes. I will be watching.
Enjoy your trip! I'm sure the trail will provide challenges, as it always does. But with a team like you, Luke, and Evan I'm sure you can handle what the trail throws at you and still have fun doing it.
I definitely had most of these fears too. You got this. You are strong and capable and powerful!! I also had so many frickin injuries on the CT and still somehow stumbled through!! Enjoy the beautiful views!!!! - Chica

Had to buy saline and use it 20 times a day! Hope your first town stop was good! BTW, Dots pretzels and cheeze curls are LEGIT!!
