I lived in France for a year and immediately lost weight, was so much healthier and it is largely because the quality of the food is so superior. I hope to move back there and take my dog. The whole way of life is so much healthier and not driven into the ground for consumption. Thank you!
Woah, definitely not what I expected from a title with gut declutter 😂. Zach Bush is one of my favorite humans and I'm so glad to hear him on your show. He definitely gives my brain a good workout and warms my soul every time he speaks. ❤

Every time I think I'm smart, I listen to a Zach Bush podcast. Sets me straight every time. Dumber than a rock I am. 😂😂
I really appreciated the calm tone of the conversation today. With so much negativity and intolerance in society and how out of control the tone in many conversations, not so much face to face but on social media and in other media sources are, this was very refreshing!!!
Wow. ! I loved his comment about how human health is really micro-bacterial health. How healthy is your micro bacterial system?… how it’s all so intricately connected, and so diverse! There was so much amazing life changing information in this episode! Thank you guys!
This has to be my favorite and the most helpful episode (for me) that yall have ever produced. I have been fighting gut health for 17 years, doctors are absolutely no help and I keep developing new food allergies, now I know I am going about it incorrectly. Wonderful episode!
Watching this from Germany…. I’ve been a big fan of Zach Bush’s for several years now, that’s how I bumped into you guys. Brilliant presentation, a lot of compact and valuable content . And thanks a lot for your honesty, also even in sincerely asking for reviews, I will certainly revisit from time to time. Thank you so much. Jacco
You guys are amazing, I work in the medical field but recently lost my dad, all routine out of the window; sleep nutrition exercise etc but this podcast I have now listened to 6 times ….. on the same morning hike and it’s helping me focus, implement, gain the momentum/inertia I need to get back my healthier previous lifestyle. Connecting with nature whilst learning, exercising I am feeling energised again, thanks xxxx ps happy belated birthday 😂
There’s a lot of valuable information in this episode, which I appreciate. It made me want to start fermenting veggies in a wooden crock. I remember my parents fermenting loads of cabbage and other veggies every fall for upcoming winter in their huge old wooden barrel. We lived back then in the northern part of Russia, short summers and long snowy winters. I don’t agree that it’s a good thing to eat a lot of fiber and the point that the doctor made that the food passes the colon in 90 min or so, compared to 14 hrs with a meat focused diet. It’s not supposed to move this fast unless your body can’t utilize it then it will excrete it fast. If your food stays longer in your gut you also feel fuller longer and don’t have to graze often as one would want if his food moves fast in his colon and after 2 hrs he’s hungry again. We would not have survived like that in the nature. Imo
Animal foods are more bioavailable. The reason the body holds onto animal foods so long is that almost all of the macronutrients and micronutrients are absorbed. A common observation of those who go on a carnivore diet is they defecate a lot less. That is because the body utilizes a much higher percentage of animal foods.
Knowing that sauerkraut is the way home to gut health is amazing. My partner and myself have been for the last few years. Organic already helped and now at 70 life blooms again.Bravo my friends💚🙏
Wow. That was amazing info. I clicked on the vid thinking I was going to hear just about one thing but came away with so much more. Very deep. I hope there are more conversations like this on this channel or spin off channel.
37:46... this sounded strange, so I looked up how carnivores eat their prey. Unfortunately, the guest is wrong. All members of the Cat family are "obligate carnivores", meaning that they don't have the ability to digest and process vegetable material. Typically, they will only eat grass compulsively to make themselves vomit. So the comment about lions going after the gut first, is only half right. The very first thing most carnivores go after, is the liver, heart, and kidneys. Then many will try and open up the skull to get at the brain. If they ever voluntarily eat the fibrous vegetation in their prey's gut, it's because the lion is sick.
All carnivores prioritize nutrient-dense animal foods: organ meats, brains, eyes, bone marrow, and fat. This is why hunter-gatherers always ensure to procure animal foods and target the fattest animals. During the Paleolithic era, the favorite food of humans were megafauna that were as blubbery as whales. The fatty parts of the animal tend to be where the essential and conditionally essential nutrients are concentrated. Most important are the fat-soluble vitamins, as Weston A. Price determined.
Such a great conversation with the Special guest… loved what TK said bout’ him during the conversation… He was so calm and relaxed!, but at the same time it was so Powerfull the way he transmitted his thoughts. Just Amazing, as every Episode. I love your work and your channel Guys!, x me is amazing from the first second I click to watch each video and NO ANNOYING ADEVERTISING shows up! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! And that relaxing music at the bottom… Awesome! Greetings from NYC 🙌🏻✌🏻
I hope it motivated you and changed your perspective on how FUCKING AMAZING we humans are ❤ ! Eyes mind heart and soul wide open. NO FEAR ❤. Don't die, Live your AMAZING every moment ❤!
I just made sauerkraut today! So easy - freshly sliced organic cabbage and salt. It's fermenting nicely right now and should be okay to eat in about 3 days. Yum, can't wait! :)
This is very timely for me, as I'm on a course of antibiotics (unfortunately very required for my current bacterial infection) and I'm concerned that all my gut work I've done will be completely wiped out. Watching right now, ty for bringing the important topics on the show! xox
I did not expect this convo to go where it did! Fascinating. Can you imagine being high listening to thos stuff?! Lol I had many side epiphanies and ideas I couldn't keep up 🫶✌️
I subscribed. Wow i have learned alot but this is a wealth of information for my son. 27. Ivw been scratching my head, wonder why and the last few videos I have been so blessed. I will be sharing as well. So many of us walking without the true problems within in our food. 😮
This is SO helpful! Just from my minimal research I knew that kefir and other pills weren't an automatic fix, but I didn't know what to actually do. I have bought local sour kraut with the goal of gut recovery but I didn't know how close I was to a real solution! Making our own sour kraut and swimming in the river sounds like a good summer to me!
This is GREAT information. I picked up a number of GREAT tips I will add to my existing protocol. Thank you so much for all that you do! Happy Birthday to you! 🎉 🥳 I celebrated my 61 birthday on June 23! ❤
This is what is so sad about the American food system. Food manufactures use horrible (fake) ingredients in their products and use the cheapest ones they can at that. Too many chemicals in our food products. Add that to the fact that our medical profession doesn't really take the time to try to find the root problems people have but rather (working in tandem with drug manufacturers) just prescribe medications to MASK the problems, which in turn only add to the next problem. Then you get the next medication prescribed and so on and so on... Drug companies make money and we keep going to the doctors who are in bed with the drug companies. It's a vicious circle. It's definitely been a challenge just trying to remove seed oils from the foods I purchase. I've been working on that one item for quite a while now. Just because a food on the shelf says "organic" doesn't mean a whole lot because "organic canola oil" is still a SEED OIL and something I don't in my products. I absolutely pay more for the items that now fit the bill but in the end it's worth it to me.
Woh, I'm not 100% sure if you mean this in the way I think you mean it but you're getting at a very fundamentally important aspect of human health in that everything, and I mean everything, is connected. Directly or indirectly.
There's some pretty profound perspective in this video. I agree that we are an expression of our world, if we take care of it it'll take care of us and no I'm not a hippie
This happened to me in 2022: In FEB I had a sinus infection and was put on a "cillin". In MAR I was scheduled for a colonoscopy. The "cillin" killed my gut biome and I got c-diff in my colon. Then I had to go on another "cillin" for that. I had to get a second colonoscopy in JUN to see if the c-diff was gone. For both colonoscopies I had to use Miralax to clean out the colon. My gut biome was messed up. I tried kraut, tempeh, kifer and combucha to restore my gut. All 4 of those made me gag so it wasn't sustainable. Here it is one year later and my gut is still a mess. Being irregular has just become so regular to me that I just tolerate it.
I love sauerkraut. Did you get it in a jar or a bag? Jar is useless. They have to put the jar through heat to protect the contents which kills the probiotics. I prefer it in the bag. Pickles may help although you will want to make them yourself.
New here. So far, the interview has been bashing farming techniques. Today, farming compared to 50 years ago, it is like night and day with what chemical products were used. Look up furadan, it's is prohibited in the U.S. but, let's talk about the ingredients that are put into processed foods that are camouflaged and that you need a doctrol degree in chemical engineering that are not put there by farming. I'm really enjoying your podcast.
Start planting your own garden! You don't have to plant everything - just plant something you like to eat. The taste between that and what you buy in the stores is 'lightyears' away from each other. I'll never eat a store-bought tomato again! No room for a garden? Just plant something in a container on your porch or deck.
What!? I didn't know this channel existed! Where have you been all of my life!? I've really been trying to do this. For 2 years! I just threw away like 4 bags of clutter away! Too many things spark joy lol. Should I start at #1?

We cut going out to dinner a lot. If we cant pay cash, we don't go. I shared a video on FB. I didnt get any likes. No surprise. I believe my friends think I went off the deep end thanks to my minimalist behavior. I believe when we become millionaires, they will change their tunes. We're really close. I tried the all meat diet. It takes a lot of water to function on it. I lost very little weight, but put myself in the ER with it. I was dehydrated. I lost you after the line of life. You can’t say the same for plant based because many vegetables are triggers like nightshades. I have been clean vegan and was still having psoriasis and RA. But doing dirty Keto it almost all went away. Then carnivore it healed. Also eating a carnivore diet fixes gut problems. He should know that it treats gut problems. It’s just weird. I don’t know. You can’t get rid of all fiber while eating vegetables. Was the doctor there when josh was talking about how he healed his gut or was that added after. Also lions eat the intestines for the viscera which has the highest fat on most animals they hunt and many lion have a technique to remove the poop from the intestines they eat. They are not eating it for the fiber.
What’s one food that you could remove from your diet to improve your gut health?
Piss
Wheat and grain products.
In my experience, removing wheat had a huge impact for me. I need to do it again.
Dairy
Processed food
I lived in France for a year and immediately lost weight, was so much healthier and it is largely because the quality of the food is so superior. I hope to move back there and take my dog. The whole way of life is so much healthier and not driven into the ground for consumption. Thank you!
The same thing happened to me when I stayed in the Auvergne one summer. I felt so good.
@LSChestersMom, what did you eat different than before ? or was it the whole lifestyle up there ?
They have better food this country has the nasties food done so on purpose by
The dark ones .
Love Dr Zach and his expansive mind and mission! :)

I have a fun vision of people hiking with a big crock of cabage salt water. 😂 What a fun conversation starter.
Happy birthday, and thanks for another great podcast!
Happy birthday Josh, God bless.
Nice explained! Love this channel! Like like like and happy birthday Joshua 🥳💜 thanks for your videos
Tesseracts, quantum mechanics, etc. - WOW, did this conversation take an interesting turn!
A pediatrician told someone to give their kid miralax because they weren't pooping everyday..... Like as a first move. This was crazy to me.
There's some pretty profound perspective in this video. I agree that we are an expression of our world, if we take care of it it'll take care of us and no I'm not a hippie
What is the best online store to get Coconut Milk Kefir and other Raw fermented foods?

First third was interesting. I'd have liked to have listened more to Dr Bush talking about gut microbiome than about JFMs health issues. Last third... Not sure what aliens have to do with minimalism.
He definitely had some interesting things to say about gut health, but hard to believe it all when he's simultaneously spewing nonsense.
Also did he just try to minimize global warming by mentioning the overall percentage of carbon in our air lol, to make it sound low. If you understand even the smallest bit about global warming, you understand why saying something like this is ridiculous. I tend to agree with Drs Ken Berry and Shawn Baker that carbs are totally unnecessary. We should use simple carbs not at all and complex carbs sparingly.
“Disease invitation back into nature”- 😍
Nature's Source Code ❤!
Listening to this now...feels important, parts controversial but need thinking about...
Love this video ❤❤❤❤❤

Kinda got off the edge at the end.
This went way weird. May have to get to the patreon to hear the pushback.
What about sardines? Are they a daily super food?
Looks like I need to get me a crock! Happy birthday Josh!
Love the information, but his vocal fry is killing me!
Never noticed tell him to speak up 😂
water carries information too💦
I’m really curious about this episode what dr. Bush talk about
To be honest, this was a disappointing episode as I was excited for this to be about gut health and nutrition - but it wasn't. This was about aliens, conspiracies, and politics, which if I had known in advance I wouldn't have listened to this episode as it cluttered my mind.
😢 sad , you missed his point . ❤ Eyes mind heart and soul wide open. NO FEAR! ❤
I cut 90% of the processed food from our diets. I eat bagged sauerkraut, then I heard about homemade sauerkraut. We use evoo. The seed oils are horrible. We grow a garden and pick our veggies fresh. Can you share your video link?
I don't have Facebook
you lost me at aliens, it had nothing to do with the gut
Gut health morphing into ET, you lost me totally at Event Horizon but it sounded interesting, just way above microbial brain
Happy Belated Birthday, lol
Mind fucking blown!
Kombucha?
What oil(s) does JFM use for everyday cooking?
