My favourite fish and chip shop is Vintage Fish. There are two branches: Wimbledon and Blackheath/Lee Green - would highly recommend. And yes, I agree Haddock is better than cod! I like mine with curry sauce and mushy peas for good measure!

Proper fish n chips should be cooked in beef dripping. Not many cook it that way now but with the cost of sunflower oil going crazy maybe they'll ditch rancid unstable seed oils and return to natural stable animal fats. Aldeburgh fish & chips in Suffolk cooks in beef dripping

NO DONT TALK LIKE THAT! its better to cook in sunflower oil as us muslims always have to bloody work hard to find halal fish and chips! So NO beef oil thanks - go to those yt places to have that thanks!
@@rumarahim4384 erm what? I don't care about your religious predicament. The point is the best and traditional fish & chips is cooked in tallow. If you like rancid cancer causing seed oil that's your choice.
