Hello, It is a modified car alternator, connected to a 3 phase bridge rectifier (200A ) . To accomplish these 2 functions (welder / generator), I am just using an esp8266 with a mosfet, to control the voltage of the rotor with PWM, according to the desired output voltage( using PID) selected on the lcd screen. I don't know if that helps you, if not I could make a video with a a circuit for you (I wish I had more time right now).
