    Listen to the words and how good the writing not only for the books, but in the movie (unlike what became of Queen of the Damned) as well. Tom Cruise, despite objections from Anne Rice originally, did a great job as Lestat but all the cast did a great job with the writing that was given their characters.

    • @brettzforeman
      @brettzforeman หลายเดือนก่อน

      Disagree. Tom Cruise might be very fun to watch in isolated TH-cam clips, but he's a manically selfish actor who sucks all of the oxygen out of every film he's in. He has no generosity for anybody in a scene with him, and it's ultimately grating to watch more than 10-20 minutes of the Tom Cruise Show. The books were built on a wide cast of interesting characters, but this film was compromised enormously to sate Cruise's ego. It would have probably been better without him, even if a worse actor had shared the screen better.

      @@jordanhill5238 Because even though Lestat could be cruel and selfish he still cared about Louis and Claudia. Lestat enjoyed being a vampire and he truly believed he was giving Louis and Claudia the gift of being immortal. Like Louis says in the book and the movie...he hated Lestat for the wrong reasons. When Louis and Claudia are leaving the theater in Paris Santiago reads Louis' mind and asks him, " You said a name ( Lestat) How did you wrong him?"

    It’s a damn shame that they never were able to sequel with the OG cast. It is my intention to give the reboot a go. I know it meant a great deal to Ann before she passed on. Plus, I very much want to see a fully realized version ofAkasha. I also have to get past them fast forwarding the timeline to the 20s. That’s the only issue I take with the series.

    Saw this one at the movies when it came out and it’s a pretty decent adaptation of the novel. In the book series by Anne Rice I thought the sequels to Interview With the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned were actually way better but there were a couple of other books in the series that were pretty average as well. Still way better than anything Stephanie Meyers ever wrote though. Ugh.

    I think if the (INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE) movie gets rebooted someday; I think a small change should be made, that is change the male vampire Lestat, to a female, and I imagine her name is Lestasha.
    I also suggest that young vampire girl, CLAUDIA, shouldn’t be 12years old, but instead age:16, and played by an 18year old actress.
