Awesome! I’ll need to install the shorter one now, my rifle wouldn’t hold open at 12 but when I added a suppressor it would hold at 8. Thank you for the clarification.
With the huxwrx ti 762 and light loads (armscor 308 and 7.62x51 fed) in 30 degree temps it runs about a 6 to 7 with the stock plunger. I ran a few hotter loads unsuppressed and was getting lock back around 5. Ymmv. Hux is a very low pressure can. I'm thinking of trying the shorter plunger bc 30 is a warm day on hoth but I bet in warmer temps I will go back to the larger plunger.
I am using one for a .300 blk build; barrel is Ballistic Advantage 10.5 1-7 Twist and its port size is rather small; reads 0.0940 inch; it is a pistol length so my understanding is the barrel already gives me less gasses than normal; does this means I should install the second smaller plunger in my system provided in the packing? -other considerations for this setup is I will be using a kynshot Light buffer with a Springco Yellow light buffer spring, also a Radiant SD charging handle, made for suppressed. Thanks for the video!
I'm pretty sure that the plungers included with this gas block won't completely block the gas system. I just got one but haven't installed it yet. When looking up through the gas port opening at the top of the block and at the lowest setting of 1, it appears that the end of the plunger doesn't fully block the opening. It should be possible with a longer plunger.
This is very informative! Just the information I was looking for. Question: I bought my riflespeed setup last month, but am still waiting on my upper to complete my build. The package came with a second plunger, but I can’t find where on the packaging what size it is. Can you please let me know what the size is of the second included plunger? Thanks!!
Plunger #887 is included in the retail package with each RIFLESPEED™ Gas Control (manufactured after June of 2023. In conjunction with the installed Plunger #917, these sizes provide coverage of the nearly the full range of potential settings needed for every configuration we've identified during development of the RIFLESPEED™ Gas Control and allow the shooter to select the best Plunger for a specific firearm. Additional sizes are available for those who choose to precisely tune their Gas Control's settings or who have a configuration that falls outside of the more typical range. We will work with you to ensure you have the correct size for your firearm if the included Plungers aren't right for your setup.

Running into the same thing. Which one(s) did you go with instead?
Can you close off the port with the longest plunger then? I want to manually load 300 blk suppressed sometimes
Great knowledge!!👍🏼🤙🏽
Also the max length tube is 1/2” too short….. you can sell a shit load of these for the Ruger SFAR customers
I ended up buying a short hand guard which is better than stock
What do you mean max tube length?
I have your
Block… looking for the recommended pins for my Ruger SFAR 16” for 7.62 and hot 308
😂😂😂 lol I'm running a strike industries adjustable gas block!! The stock one just doesn't cut it!

The likes are sitting at 223… I don’t wanna change it
So this in fact with factory plunger will give the rifle the ability to cut all gas and essentially make the bolt not cycle like a bolt action?

I would like to have full adjust abilities of my gas block. Do you have one that would completely shut the gas off to the bolt when set at 1 ?
