I used to hate film screen protectors after having a bad experience with Spigen (wet installation type). But after having tried other film screen protectors (non wet type), I think they are okay. The performance pretty much reminds me of the factory-installed screen protectors that the Note 10 Plus used to have.

I'm very interested in the Whitestone Dome Glass. What scared me was the large piece of dust that wound up under it near the camera. You say that is not the protectors fault. However, it seems it was the install kits fault. When you slide the plastic key that holds the protector up, it looks like that piece of dust was in the slot that the key passes through and is pushed onto your screen at that moment. I wound up getting it for my Galaxy S23 Ultra My wife installed it on hers before I was able to install it on mine. She has no trouble and is loving the results.
I have the Ultra on order and already have the Whitestone Dome Glass ready to go.. Been using on several phones and it’s just brilliant.. It even saved my S20 Ultra when the Dome Glass cracked after a fall but the screen underneath was just fine..
Yea, your phone probably wouldve survived without the glass aswell. My experience i dropped my s10 without glass multiple times with bo problems. Dropped my s7 with glass and every drop the glass seemed to break resulting in a costly reshielding. Once i stopped i still dropped the phone multiple times and it never broke the glass. So I feel like the "glass" protection only works well against scratches.
Great video! I do appreciate easy installation. However, I primarily want to make sure that my actual phone's screen won't crack or chip if dropped with a screen protector, from height, onto something like rough asphalt... I would like to see how the non-tempered glass varieties hold up to such impact!
normally one of the roles of a case is to weight it down on other sides to prevent the screen hitting the ground. but I can tell you the foil ones won't protect from a crack in something that is somewhat sharper and will hit the screen (though usually worst cracks come from having the phone fall on the sides.

Thank you for taking the time to create this video. I tried to give the first screen protector I bought a chance but after 2 days I tossed it into the trash and started searching for a new one. I came across your video and decided to purchase the Milomdoi because I prefer tempered glass but I didn't want the mess of applying a liquid. I also liked how it seemed to apply like a film even though it was tempered glass. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I watched the installation video they suggested first. Then I watched the video as I was doing the actual installation. It came out perfect. I had 2 tiny bubbles. One in the middle of the screen and one near the camera but I was able to smooth them out using the tools that came with the kit. My case went on with no issue, the screen is bubble free and best of all the finger print scanner works! For people having an issue with the finger print scanner your finger cannot be dry. As long as your finger has moisture it will work. Its been on a week so far with no issues.
With respect to bulky/expensive kits, it would be helpful to know if supplies can be ordered separately without going to the expense of reordering the entire kit every time we need more tempered glass or UV glue. This would help make an informed decision on whether to invest in a pricey kit. A good analogy would be like purchasing a new car every time it needed it's tires replaced just because they can't be purchased separately.
@@Samthenega Whtiestone has a replacement warranty. Use another phone, take a picture of the broken Whitestone Dome glass and they will send you a new screen protector/installation kit for one. Then you rip off the broken one, install the second one that came in the kit while they send you another replacement. You always have one spare on hand.
I'm done with Whitestone. Filed a warrant and they sent me the wrong replacement then refused to respond to my concerns. Had to file a claim through PayPal to get the shipping and handling costs back. Their customer service has gone in the toilet.
I'm using the clear version of the MOWEI and it worked like charm with the installation, the fingerprint, s-pen and all the cases I use. Installation is easy If you do everything calm and collected. Great video and overview for all the options.
It worked well for me, too. But then the corner came up when I put a case on. I fixed it and tried a more loose case and it came up in the same place, too. Rats!
Thank you for this video. I was beginning to feel overwhelmed by the abundance of screen protector videos that wouldn't get straight to the point and were more opinion pieces than actual tests. You were able to steer me away from the films, which to be fair could have worked, and I instead decided to purchase the Whitestone Dome Glass with liquid adhesive. I got the S23 Ultra as a gift to give on Mother's Day but once I remembered that she keeps her phone in her purse, I realized I had to get a screen protector as well. i got the milomdoi and it went on flawless! wish the edges were clear not black feel like its blocking the screen just slightly. but so far the best i have used. Fyi does not work with spigen tough armor case edges get pushed up
Well that’s great news except for the case, it’s hard to know how it’s going to work out with everyone’s case . Unfortunately the only way to know is to try it but I love the protector.
Good thing I saw this when I did. I had just ordered it and I do have the spigen tough armor case. Been having a time with the screen protectors that have the fingerprint cutout not sticking properly or something. I can't even register a fingerprint with them. Not sure I want a film as I feel like that doesn't offer much protection. I was thinking the ones that come with the Uv light were a gimmick.
Went with Milomdoi Tempered glass screen protector after your video works great no bubbles ( just to small dust pieces that I can live with) but the finger print scanner isn't working as well as I would of hoped , its more hit and miss, even after adding freshing prints multiple times and increasing the sensitivity. but overall would still recommend it.
I went with that one, too, and installation went great. However, every time I tried to put my Spigen case on, the screen protector would lift at the corners, basically rendering it useless. Do you know of a good case that won't affect the screen protector?
My only problem is that the spigen case I bought pushes and lifts the tempered glass protector so I need to change one of it. Any tempered glass screen protector and case recommendation together? As I am worried the not tempered glass screen protectors will not protect against drop.
@@hexiler I had the same problem. I finally ended up getting brave enough to order and install the Whitestone Dome screen protector, and I then paired it with an Otterbox Commuter case. No problems at all, perhaps with the exception of finding that it is perhaps a wee bit easier than I'd like to pop my phone out of that particular Otterbox case. This solution was a little bit pricey, though, but at least my phone is now protected.
I have the spiegen neoflex. What bothers me is that it doesn't go over the curved edges. I use the edge panel and gestures instead oh the home/ back buttons, and the edge of the screen protector is very thick. That bothered me a lot, but the edge seems to get better with time, i must say.
Which tempered glass screen protector would you say allows for max screen touch sensitivity? Mine seems makes it hard to select things.... and I have enabled the screen protector display option that helps some by not enough. Thank you for your input and help

Thanks for a great video! I bought a case protector that has a screen protector built in, but the fingerprint sensor can be seen when watching videos etc at certain angles and lighting. Do you see the fingerprint sensor area when you have a tempered glass screen protector installed, like the AmFilm glass or the Whitestone Dome Glass?
No. What you see is glue that some screen protectors use on the fingerprint sensor area to improve the contact between the phone and the screen protector. Every screen protector that uses liquid adhesive doesn't use this trick, so you won't have the same problem.
I went with the gatatol liquid adhesive. I tried whitestone dome in the past never worked out for me. This one was perfect my first try and so far i ❤ it and also it is a full screen protector no camera cut out or fingerprint hole
Any updates on your daily use screen protector after a week? My AmFilm tempered glass one is starting to peel off, and I haven't started using the phone as a daily phone yet lol.
I actually purchased the Milomdoi before watching this video. I was also surprised that it was a tempered glass protector that was compatible with the fingerprint scanner. I was so excited when I found it, but I was having so many problems with the scanner. I just couldn't get it to work. I thought it was the protector itself, so I watched this video to find another, but after seeing this, I found the problem. I realized it couldn't be the protector considering the review, and I found out I had a pretty sizeable scrape on my thumb, so I tried my left thumb instead, and it works like a charm now! My only complaint now is that it covers the front camera, so it's prone to being smudged, making the front camera a little tricky. I love Samsung, but the screen protector situation on the ultra is so tricky. I had the fold 4 for a short time, and the fingerprint reader on that, in my opinion, was in a much better location. They have scanners that are actually much bigger that take up a large portion of the bottom of the phones screen, I don’t know why Samsung doesn’t use them.I’m glad you were able to get the fingerprint scanner to work on this protector, I love it myself. Do you know if the Milomdol screen protector fits with the Spigen tough armour case? I've seen some reviews on amazon saying it didn't for them but I had a similar experience with my old s7 edge where all I had to do when installing was add the hard part on afterwards however not sure if that would work with the s23u tough armour case.

Got the Milomdoi screen as recomended in this video - a much better screen than AACL. However, it is also 0.5-1mm bigger on the sides than AACL and DOES NOT WORK WITH SPIGEN cases. Spigen cases poped Milomdoi glass off the screen immediately, I tried to press carefully while push the side of the case out and the glass cracked on me. Really disappointed as Spigen cases are very popular and of very high quality. Fingerprint sensor works for my wife but not for me, one is 3 or 4 attempts it detects my fingerprint right.
I’m sorry to hear that it doesn’t work with your case. As far as the fingerprint scanner goes, I find that when my fingers are super dry the sensor has trouble reading my prints.
@HighTechCheck Thank you I also think it is moisture related. I find it funny how most reviews mention this sensor as some kind of second coming as compared to optical and yet my previous S20FE was faster and more reliable and the same with OnePlus 6T.
Coming from an Oppo phone, I find the Samsung fingerprint reader slow and not accurate... Oppo reader is instantaneous, whereas Samsung needs you to press with some pressure..

06:18 did you use both thumbs to register one fingerprint? Or did you show yourself registering 2 separate fingerprints? Looked like you got to 76% with your left thumb, and then switched to your right thumb to finish it.
So frustrated that the Milomdoi was not compatible with the Supcase beetle pro case. It bubbled up and ended up breaking and one of the glass shards got stuck in my finger! Do you know which screen protector would be compatible to the Supcase?!!

My question is with that whitestone screen protector. After say like 3 years with it being on the screen and then you so happen crack the protector will that adhesive act the same? Or will it then leave a residue because of how long it was on the screen for?

The only way the spray will help is if you can get it under the screen protector, it will just peel off but I’m not sure if it will be useable after that. I wish I could give you a better answer but I’ve never tried to fix it once it’s dried.

My question is always what they are like to remove when you need to replace them. My one bug bare with tempered glass is that sometimes the adhesive is a nightmare to remove and I risk scratching my screen in the process
The liquid adhesive screens aren’t horrible to lift if you work around the edges, the milimodo protector however uses stronger than normal adhesive so it was more difficult to remove. I ended up shattering the screen when taking it off then just ran the phone under some water to remove and glass dust remaining.
Tried 4 the Whitestone uv film protector, the cent crease didn't fade away on any of them if anything it only became more pronounced. It does create pixel distortion as well, everything else about it was great but the crease was a deal breaker for me
Dud i got the new belkin tru curve with the blue light protection and my pen wont work in the middle of the screen i can draw with my finger but not my pen is annoying do i need to re-install?

thanks so much for making this video, just got the S23 ultra and it was very difficult to find a glass protector that did not have the circle hole! Just ordered the Milomdo . EDIT:UPDATE: i had to return them, it was too difficult to install and kept cracking. maybe i wasn't careful enough but i 100% followed your video step by step and could not replicate the results. i actually ordered it TWICE, meaning after trying 4x tries i could not make it work. it either had remaining bubbles or the edge cracked during pressing the side bubbles out. currently using the phone without any screen protector, just don't give a damn anymore. i figure if they are that flimsy i don't see how much it would protect the screen during an impact anyway. thanks for the video nevertheless! 🍺

White dome is the messiest of all the liquis UV screen protectors.

I also liked how it seemed to apply like a film even though it was tempered glass. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I watched the installation video they suggested first. Then I watched the video as I was doing the actual installation. It came out perfect. I had 2 tiny bubbles. One in the middle of the screen and one near the camera but I was able to smooth them out using the tools that came with the kit. My case went on with no issue, the screen is bubble free and best of all the finger print scanner works! For people having an issue with the finger print scanner your finger cannot be dry. As long as your finger has moisture it will work. Its been on a week so far with no issues.

No issues so far. Screen is still free of bubbles and fingerprint scanner still works.
With respect to bulky/expensive kits, it would be helpful to know if supplies can be ordered separately without going to the expense of reordering the entire kit every time we need more tempered glass or UV glue. This would help make an informed decision on whether to invest in a pricey kit. A good analogy would be like purchasing a new car every time it needed it's tires replaced just because they can't be purchased separately.

@@Samthenega Whtiestone has a replacement warranty. Use another phone, take a picture of the broken Whitestone Dome glass and they will send you a new screen protector/installation kit for one. Then you rip off the broken one, install the second one that came in the kit while they send you another replacement. You always have one spare on hand.
I'm done with Whitestone. Filed a warrant and they sent me the wrong replacement then refused to respond to my concerns. Had to file a claim through PayPal to get the shipping and handling costs back. Their customer service has gone in the toilet.
I'm using the clear version of the MOWEI and it worked like charm with the installation, the fingerprint, s-pen and all the cases I use. Installation is easy If you do everything calm and collected. Great video and overview for all the options.

It worked well for me, too. But then the corner came up when I put a case on. I fixed it and tried a more loose case and it came up in the same place, too. Rats!
Thank you for this video. I was beginning to feel overwhelmed by the abundance of screen protector videos that wouldn't get straight to the point and were more opinion pieces than actual tests.
You were able to steer me away from the films, which to be fair could have worked, and I instead decided to purchase the Whitestone Dome Glass with liquid adhesive. I got the S23 Ultra as a gift to give on Mother's Day but once I remembered that she keeps her phone in her purse, I realized I had to get a screen protector as well.

i got the milomdoi and it went on flawless! wish the edges were clear not black feel like its blocking the screen just slightly. but so far the best i have used. Fyi does not work with spigen tough armor case edges get pushed up
Well that’s great news except for the case, it’s hard to know how it’s going to work out with everyone’s case . Unfortunately the only way to know is to try it but I love the protector.
Good thing I saw this when I did. I had just ordered it and I do have the spigen tough armor case. Been having a time with the screen protectors that have the fingerprint cutout not sticking properly or something. I can't even register a fingerprint with them. Not sure I want a film as I feel like that doesn't offer much protection. I was thinking the ones that come with the Uv light were a gimmick.
Went with Milomdoi Tempered glass screen protector after your video works great no bubbles ( just to small dust pieces that I can live with) but the finger print scanner isn't working as well as I would of hoped , its more hit and miss, even after adding freshing prints multiple times and increasing the sensitivity. but overall would still recommend it.
Are you fingers dry? My fingerprints usually have issues when my hands are dry. If that’s the case try a bit of moisturizer and see if it helps.
I ended up redoing the prints and pushing really hard during the scans , it seems to work much more consistently now
I went with that one, too, and installation went great. However, every time I tried to put my Spigen case on, the screen protector would lift at the corners, basically rendering it useless. Do you know of a good case that won't affect the screen protector?
My only problem is that the spigen case I bought pushes and lifts the tempered glass protector so I need to change one of it. Any tempered glass screen protector and case recommendation together? As I am worried the not tempered glass screen protectors will not protect against drop.
@@hexiler I had the same problem. I finally ended up getting brave enough to order and install the Whitestone Dome screen protector, and I then paired it with an Otterbox Commuter case. No problems at all, perhaps with the exception of finding that it is perhaps a wee bit easier than I'd like to pop my phone out of that particular Otterbox case. This solution was a little bit pricey, though, but at least my phone is now protected.
I have now refrenced this video three times to help me put my third screen on. It is a fantastic video and I thank you for it.

I have the spiegen neoflex. What bothers me is that it doesn't go over the curved edges. I use the edge panel and gestures instead oh the home/ back buttons, and the edge of the screen protector is very thick. That bothered me a lot, but the edge seems to get better with time, i must say.
Which tempered glass screen protector would you say allows for max screen touch sensitivity? Mine seems makes it hard to select things.... and I have enabled the screen protector display option that helps some by not enough. Thank you for your input and help

Thanks for a great video! I bought a case protector that has a screen protector built in, but the fingerprint sensor can be seen when watching videos etc at certain angles and lighting. Do you see the fingerprint sensor area when you have a tempered glass screen protector installed, like the AmFilm glass or the Whitestone Dome Glass?
No. What you see is glue that some screen protectors use on the fingerprint sensor area to improve the contact between the phone and the screen protector. Every screen protector that uses liquid adhesive doesn't use this trick, so you won't have the same problem.
I went with the gatatol liquid adhesive. I tried whitestone dome in the past never worked out for me. This one was perfect my first try and so far i ❤ it and also it is a full screen protector no camera cut out or fingerprint hole
Any updates on your daily use screen protector after a week? My AmFilm tempered glass one is starting to peel off, and I haven't started using the phone as a daily phone yet lol.

I actually purchased the Milomdoi before watching this video. I was also surprised that it was a tempered glass protector that was compatible with the fingerprint scanner. I was so excited when I found it, but I was having so many problems with the scanner. I just couldn't get it to work. I thought it was the protector itself, so I watched this video to find another, but after seeing this, I found the problem. I realized it couldn't be the protector considering the review, and I found out I had a pretty sizeable scrape on my thumb, so I tried my left thumb instead, and it works like a charm now! My only complaint now is that it covers the front camera, so it's prone to being smudged, making the front camera a little tricky. I love Samsung, but the screen protector situation on the ultra is so tricky. I had the fold 4 for a short time, and the fingerprint reader on that, in my opinion, was in a much better location. They have scanners that are actually much bigger that take up a large portion of the bottom of the phones screen, I don’t know why Samsung doesn’t use them.I’m glad you were able to get the fingerprint scanner to work on this protector, I love it myself. Do you know if the Milomdol screen protector fits with the Spigen tough armour case? I've seen some reviews on amazon saying it didn't for them but I had a similar experience with my old s7 edge where all I had to do when installing was add the hard part on afterwards however not sure if that would work with the s23u tough armour case.

Which one do you prefer, amfilm tempered glass or whitedome?
Got the Milomdoi screen as recomended in this video - a much better screen than AACL. However, it is also 0.5-1mm bigger on the sides than AACL and DOES NOT WORK WITH SPIGEN cases.
Spigen cases poped Milomdoi glass off the screen immediately, I tried to press carefully while push the side of the case out and the glass cracked on me. Really disappointed as Spigen cases are very popular and of very high quality. Fingerprint sensor works for my wife but not for me, one is 3 or 4 attempts it detects my fingerprint right.
I’m sorry to hear that it doesn’t work with your case. As far as the fingerprint scanner goes, I find that when my fingers are super dry the sensor has trouble reading my prints.
@HighTechCheck Thank you I also think it is moisture related. I find it funny how most reviews mention this sensor as some kind of second coming as compared to optical and yet my previous S20FE was faster and more reliable and the same with OnePlus 6T.
Coming from an Oppo phone, I find the Samsung fingerprint reader slow and not accurate... Oppo reader is instantaneous, whereas Samsung needs you to press with some pressure..

06:18 did you use both thumbs to register one fingerprint? Or did you show yourself registering 2 separate fingerprints? Looked like you got to 76% with your left thumb, and then switched to your right thumb to finish it.

So frustrated that the Milomdoi was not compatible with the Supcase beetle pro case. It bubbled up and ended up breaking and one of the glass shards got stuck in my finger! Do you know which screen protector would be compatible to the Supcase?!!

My question is with that whitestone screen protector. After say like 3 years with it being on the screen and then you so happen crack the protector will that adhesive act the same? Or will it then leave a residue because of how long it was on the screen for?

The only way the spray will help is if you can get it under the screen protector, it will just peel off but I’m not sure if it will be useable after that. I wish I could give you a better answer but I’ve never tried to fix it once it’s dried.

My question is always what they are like to remove when you need to replace them. My one bug bare with tempered glass is that sometimes the adhesive is a nightmare to remove and I risk scratching my screen in the process
The liquid adhesive screens aren’t horrible to lift if you work around the edges, the milimodo protector however uses stronger than normal adhesive so it was more difficult to remove. I ended up shattering the screen when taking it off then just ran the phone under some water to remove and glass dust remaining.
Sadly I couldn't find Milomdoi TG in my country, so what's your second best suggestion for tempered glass protector?

Tried 4 the Whitestone uv film protector, the cent crease didn't fade away on any of them if anything it only became more pronounced. It does create pixel distortion as well, everything else about it was great but the crease was a deal breaker for me

thanks so much for making this video, just got the S23 ultra and it was very difficult to find a glass protector that did not have the circle hole! Just ordered the Milomdo . EDIT:UPDATE: i had to return them, it was too difficult to install and kept cracking. maybe i wasn't careful enough but i 100% followed your video step by step and could not replicate the results. i actually ordered it TWICE, meaning after trying 4x tries i could not make it work. it either had remaining bubbles or the edge cracked during pressing the side bubbles out. currently using the phone without any screen protector, just don't give a damn anymore. i figure if they are that flimsy i don't see how much it would protect the screen during an impact anyway. thanks for the video nevertheless! 🍺
I had the same problem too with that brand. Ordered twice and they are super delicate. One small tap can crack it 🙃
