This is your best story yet. As a fly fisherman That has felt the sudden presence of something menacing and lurking in the forest behind me as I was fishing, I can totally feel the experience of this trio.
Chris has picked another postcard frame view for us to look at while he tells us this story. I kept looking between the trees in case some furry friends wanted to hear your story as well.
Chris, thank you for your channel. I've been catching your stories for about a year now. I was born and grew up in the Wind River Valley of Wyoming. I have been here 60 years now. Know the area well and where this couple fished. I have not heard of their experience until now. There have been several sightings in this area of the Wind River Range and Shoshone National Forest, stretching all the way up to the Yellowstone Park boundary. There are many more stories of encounters that are talked about from this area, and many that have not made it to the internet. I had an encounter years ago in the Shoshone Forest area where the Owl Creek Range meets the Absaroka Range northwest of the town of Dubois. The Wind River Range starts at this point and runs south. There are two other encounters I personally know of, along with mine, that were within a five-mile area near Brooks Lake. And yes, this is a hot spot for grizzly bears. Be armed at all times while in these areas, even if you are on a short stroll and parked just off the highway.
I love the way you set up your hiking shots. The multiple angles make us feel as if we’re actually on the hike through these lovely places with you. That’s a lot of work on your part, Chris, and none of it happens by magic. You’re going out of your way to include us, and we really appreciate it. Blessings on you and yours!
Another great story Chris - you always have me on the edge of my seat with how you put these together. Rick and Kathy were smart to have Joseph with them - liked the message he relayed as well . I’d be scared to be up where you tell these lol - but am VERY glad you take us with you all the way back - until you’re in your car. I personally like to know you got there safe.
