Hi Tyler, I’m so glad I got a recommendation for your channel. You are amazing. Your grandad would be very proud. You are one very hard worker and you love all your animals. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
All I can say is it must be nice to live in a place where your water line only has to be 8 inches deep LOL.
Amen!
Yeah, 6’ deep is our minimum"
Manitoba Canada we go 7 to 8 feet deep and add internal heat trace for good measure , cold life 😂
Loving the longer videos 👍
Seems your herd is looking better and better.
Hooray for Barn cats!
One of your best videos. “Keep on Keeping on!” Tim in northern TN
"I can probably make one of those..." When someone as inventive and self motivated as Tyler, says something like that, we could be witnessing the dawn of a new and better way to solve a problem. Wasn't that how Henry Ford got started?
💯 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Really great video today , so much content
Loved the family photos!
Thank you for the video.
Thx for sharing !
GOOD AFTERNOON TYLER
We bale our rice straw and allow the cows to graze on the stubble in the winter here in Louisiana
I agree with you. My cats eat all that I give them but I have not seen a mouse in years unless it was in a cat's mouth.
You got a lot of work done today. Thanks for sharing and have a nice safe day!!
I hope you can get some trail cam footage of the barn owls.
Rivet!! It's like he was yelling!!
Hi Tyler , Marine carpet is what I use .
You often say how much you have to do around the farm but what you have accomplished so far will relieve the pressure for a long time ahead. Everything you complete now clears the way ahead. You are an impressive man Tyler. Love your work.
Thanks again for your videos ❤watching from Southern California 🎉😊
Always a pleasure to watch your video's!
LOL your smut grass sounds like our parramatta grass, it's really hard to kill and only really active ingredient that kills it is Flupropanate. My hubby made our own weed wiper to go on the back of the tractor, it works a treat.
You’re right about the cats! I’ve had lots of indoor/outdoor, very well fed cats & they all were great hunters! The place is looking so good, amazing what a difference even those small changes can make
Peace brother…
The well fed cat makes a great hunter! Thank you Tyler for mentioning that the old wives tale is false. Another great video of your projects!
You're right on that, Tyler !! A well fed cat makes for a good Hunter !!
We have an owl in the barn and it just monitors a pile of wheat that attracts mice and rats - it does not need to leave the barn when the weather is nasty😂
Just love watching your videos and that golden bull is so solid and awesome...I can't wait to see the newborns and I hope you get a few golden/black born. The pure black are great and have such shiny coats, but the white face/black have so much more character when looking at them...and golden/black babies would be such a fantastic unique blend!
My first thought for a roll cover is carpet. Contact a flooring installation person and see if you can get the carpet that they pull out. Saves them from having to pay to dispose of and you get it for free.
I can't wait to see your ingenuity at work when making a hydraulically driven weed wiper. I know you will ace it.
I have two barn cats that I feed regularly with an automatic feeder and they kill little critters every day all day. They are part lion after all.🐈
Re: fabric for weed wiper. On the commercial machines, that fabric must be replaceable. I'd check their websites for new equipment, they may tell what that fabric is made. I'd also check their replacement parts page... It may tell there what the fiber content. Another way to find out is to ask for a tour of their facility (there maybe a tour already on TH-cam). 💖🌞🌵😷
Maybe a thin layer of foam might be the way to go for your weed unit, but I can guarantee you that no matter how attractive Mrs Farmer Tyler's bathroom towels look for the job, it wouldn't be a good idea to use those!
Love hearing your inventive plans even though I have no idea what you’re planning to do! I’m an old lady in suburbia! Love your channel. Protect your invention w patents! You are very creative!
Again thank you for taking us with you. Love all your projects. God bless.
Marine carpet is hard wearing , absorbent, and can be washed clean of herbicide easily. .
Mine has 18inch wicks mounted at 45 degrees horizontally and overlapping by 2 inchs . It has a 50 litre (12usg) tank , with 6 litre per minute pump . And an adjustable controler . Herbicide is delivered through 16mm (5/8) low density poly , there are branch pipes running through the centre of each carpet sleeve with fine holes . The controller starts the pump for a few seconds . it can be controlled from 1 seconds on , 30 off to running none stop . . Steel frame on 8inch wheels.
Have you thought about planting ryegrass and clover at the ranch vs only having winter pasture for half the herd to go to? It would reseed itself year over year.
Oh wow!
I got a male tiger stripe kitten so far I fed him dry cat food and seen him with 8 mice
So much good info from you. That is why I watch.
Tyler, you can add remote hydraulics to your tractor via an aftermarket item called Power Beyond block. I have a Ford 4110 and I went to a New Holland dealer who ordered this for me. Installation on my tractor is fairly easy; it just bolts on. You ought to check it out. Probably have more uses other than running the hydraulic motor.
Thx again
Your grandpa would be so proud!
Good morning.
Hey Tyler. Your diy herbicide dispenser is a Winner. As for figuring out what material to use. Well research the material used by wick wipe makers of the type that you plan to fabricate.
Once you've done that reach out to all the companies that make and sell it to iron out who'll offer lowest price on small batch sized quantity.
They'll sell it to you, you've just got to figure who'll sell it to you cheapest.
Good Luck on that
Thanks for taking us along, Tyler. We really appreciate it.
LOVED Your thoughts on " Building a Herd ", Cows are the TRUE BASE of your Genetics/Profit Base.

Afternoon, from Texas. Enjoy all your videos and appreciate your thoughts and creative expertise. Blessings to you and your family for health, strength, safety, wisdom, peace and success in His Holy Name.☝️🙏🙌💪❤️🇺🇸🎯
If you make the weed wiper PTO drive then throttling down will also slow the rotating drum.
Look into how the air blowers work on White corn planters. They have a PTO hydraulic pump, a needle valve to control flow (and bypass the excess) and a hydraulic motor on the blower. A similar arrangement with the needle valve near the operator will make the drum speed adjustable despite tractor speed.
Outstanding
Good Morning, Tyler and Callie! Hungry Bulls! The Bull Pen Lock-in! Moving the Cows! The Boys look Sad! Small space for four Big Boys! Rotation of Pastures! Your Idea will work! You’re so persistent on your plans! Clean-up! Happy Cows 🐄! Happy Bulls! Great Video! Thank-you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
nice to see your show farmer Tyler
Another enjoyable day of ranching, and a few chores written off for the year.
One thing I enjoy about your videos is the way the cows behave which I had not known before. It's also amazing to see all of the skills you employ to improve you farm as a jack of all trades. Lastly, it's heartwarming to see that you are a caring humane farmer. Thank you for sharing all you do. See you in the next one!
When we ran a high-speed steel slitter, we had pads to apply pressure between two 55" pads with a top and bottom. We used thick felt but switched to low knap carpet that was absorbent. The wool carpet was better than the synthetic knap.
Good Idea to get water near the bull pen! the weed wiper sounds like a good idea, can't wait to see you figure that out.
A rear mounted unit makes a lot of sense for not picking up the herbicide on any tires.
Great videos keep em coming😊
I have had good success on my cattle oiler using a soft furniture moving blanket then wrapped it in canvas. Absorbent and protected. Might be a good option for your weed wiper idea. You may also want to look at using a barrel instead of a pipe. Couple advantages could be 1 weight, 2 will hold your chemical. Simple wick to feed your wrap.
Very productive day on the ranch! Never a lack of things to do.
your view on cats is spot on
I would think maybe a lambswool type pad or a medium density foam like on foam paint brushes or carpet padding for your weed wiper. Should be able to hold herbicide and still allow it to come off easily.
I'd buy a desk calendar with ranch tasks, upcoming jobs to get ready for, and cooking tips for the best burgers, ribs, chicken, etc. A ftr almanac.
Great idea, I'd buy one!😊
SAME!! Oh my, that’s a great idea!!
Looks good
A lambs wool paint roller about 1 inch holds a lot of paint or stain without dripping. They have a kind of pvc center also. You might check into something like that.
That is a really good idea.
Maybe wool like a wool blanket material easy to test
You must absolutely love having all working gates. Great job and I enjoyed watching you make them 🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
As soon as you started talking about the weed wiper and you said you reached out to a company with no answer back I said Tyler will build one even better 🤣
Not having read the other comments on your weed wiper design, I'm asking:
1. Will your design be in folding sections to travel on roads and through gates?
2. If so the drum wipe sections could be electric driven then use PTO for hydraulic folding of side sections.
3. Perhaps there might be a used disc/rake rolling chassis that could be the donor platform.
4. Sounds like another business opportunity! Or just sell the design.
And then there's the likely possibility that I don't know what I'm talking about!!
One of your best videos lately 😊
We have had well fed cats in the past yet they always brought us gifts of parts of mice & birds!
i had rat problems in my barn , i picked up 2 cats THEN suddenly I had 11 cats ( which have now been fixed ) now i have no rat problems but i do buy lots of cat food , well maybe not lots buy 40 lbs every 2 weeks AND i have plenty of visitors every time i sit in the porch swing so all is good
Seen a roller like you're wanting to build that has outdoor carpet with a small sprayer and 12 volt pump with a couple nozzles putting herbicide on it. It's used for lawns
Thanks for sharing farmer tyler ranch I enjoyed the video and I hope you have a great day
For your weed wiper, maybe consider using an electric gear motor to drive the wiper drum instead of the PTO. I think it would be simpler, and a lot lighter, and drum RPM would be independent of the engine RPM. Food for thought....
Just a thought Tyler but it might be worth just putting some weed barrier down and putting rock or gravel in your area of the coral by the chute? It will stay weed free for the most part and not get muddy in the rainy season!
As always, another great video 😊 Thank you and have a great day!
I grew up in a dairy farm and we always kept the heifers from the best cows we had and always crossed them with the best semen we could buy. That's how you improve your herd's genetics.
Good video today, excellent discussion over all the topics! Looking forward to seeing the "weed wiper" progress. Water turned off the 15th out here and yes the season is changing. Would like to hear how the "Fly Killer" walk thru measured up on the FTR! The ranch really looks good!
Happy Birthday 🎂to your wife 🐃
My bulls same way lil gate gets jumped gota be with the lady's !! It's been awhile but I'm still here man !! In MN we had it freeze a few nights already now pretty mild again
💖💖💖💖💖
I was thinking about your weed wiper question and I'm wondering if burlap might work. It's fairly absorbent you, but rugged enough so you could hose it down afterwards, and it would be fairly easy to replace as it wears out.
I definitely agree with what a couple of others have said. Do not share your complete plans! Patent it and sell it to somebody! Don't let somebody else go steal your improved ideas and make a whole bunch of money off of something you invent!
Looks like you need to build a hitch mounted vice for you truck.
You work smarter when you take care of yourself. Safe, healthy working conditions count. All the little bumps, jolts, and injuries add up over time. I'm glad you addressed the overall working conditions. The little things do count!
Pool noodles. They can be used for so many things. Foam water pipe insulation. I don't know. Just thoughts.
Barn cats are always good to have around the farm and the cows are looking good have a great day.
Looking forward to watching you create a new herbicide delivery system. Not sure what to call it.
It’s too bad that company didn’t contact you. It’s their loss. They don’t know you and that is the problem, because if they did they would of known they could benefit. It’s a smart company who’s always looking out for new ideas. Especially, someone who can build, test out, and improve new idea, or improve an existing product. It’s too bad they could have really benefited from what you’ll create.
100% use a sham wow
Fiberglass or ceramic matting like that used to wrap mufflers would probably make a good wick, it wouldn't be subject to decay like organic or petrol based materials.
Lots done FT, great job. I’m noticing, I’m sure it’s not your choice, TH-cam is adding 3-4 ads to your channel. It’s crazy! ❤❤
I wouldn’t use the pto for the weed wiper, Id use what Gandy used to use on their insecticide boxes, a 12 volt electric motor. They had a basic worm drive windshield wiper motor that ran a bicycle chain to the applicator that gave it a further reduction. At one point we used a PWM speed controller that was not very expensive to slow it down even further to apply something on our stanhay planter.
What a relief, eh
thx
I've had friends hire/barrow my cats bc even the presence of cats is enough to deter mice. I definitely agree with your welcoming them. I think it will just leave your little ones wanting more inside cats 🙂
Yro, my motto is WORK SMARTER
NOT HARDER!
YOU ARE QUITE THE THINKER.
YEP YOU WILL FIGURE OUT JOE TO MAKE THAT MACHINE.
LOVED WHEN THE CATTLE WERE RUNNING TO THE OPEN GATE. LOVE TO WATCH THEM RUN!
I also approve of the longer videos but, at your convenience. Again, thanks for sharing.💪🤠👍
As far as the cats go, you can’t argue with DNA. You can pick your nose but you can’t pick your DNA.
As always, it's been a real pleasure Farmer Tyler. Can't wait for the next episode.
Brilliant 🤩
Long time viewer how about a video on your vehicles trailers atv's bikes - pulling and weight capacity engine size trailer lengths just a thought would be interesting to me keep the videos coming love them
Be glad to send a few cats your way.
Littlest bull is really growing. Does the newest bull ever let you pet him?
Calli is such a good dog.
Great job on all you finished.
Love spending time watching your videos.
Have a great day.
