FILM DESCRIPTION:
Antonio LeBlanc is a Korean adoptee raised in a small town in the Louisiana bayou. He's married to the love of his life, Kathy, and raising his beloved stepdaughter, Jessie. Struggling to make a better life for his family, he must soon confront the ghosts of his past after learning that he could be deported from the only country he's ever called home.

Alicia Vikander is a magnificent actor - at least as far as I can tell (I'm not an actor myself).
It seems to me that she is a master of the physicality of acting. She incorporates movement very distinctly into her portrayal of a character - the way she carries herself, her posture, her gestures. It was a distinctive dimension of her portrayals in both Ex Machina and in Irma Vep.

Uh, no. Roy Orbison is a music god, and Linda Ronstadt’s cover a decade later in 1977 was ‘went platinum’ astonishing. So, no, Alicia did NOT ‘do better’ than either of those magnificent artists. Alicia did a perfectly serviceable job for the role she was playing in this film.
