  • In this video, we delve into India's remarkable growth in National Highways and its impact on the country's economy. Over the past 9 years, around 50,000 kilometers of new highways have been constructed, fostering connectivity and stimulating economic development. The Gati Shakti Mission aims to streamline freight movement and reduce logistical costs, driving India's integration into global value chains. We explore the significance of efficient transportation networks for India's competitiveness and highlight the importance of ongoing maintenance and quality improvement. This infrastructure upgrade aims to boost connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and enhance India's global competitiveness.

    Kindly have a look at the hugely delayed National Highway 55 (NH-55) running between Cuttack and Sambalpur in Odisha, this is a key highway and is super critical to Odisha's economic and passenger movement. I fail to understand why the Center and State both are silent on this. Request Nitin Gadkare Jee to take note of it immediately . I would also plead journalists and activists to enquire deep into this huge delay and lack of quality in the construction of NH55. #NH55

      @schulumberger 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I get what you are saying. But this does not paint the full picture. America has an extremely developed road network. The highways you mention being removed, are inside the city and not inter-city / inter-state highways. Those highways provide America with an extremely fast and easy way to transport goods to any corner of america. In India, our road network is quite large, but mostly of poor quality and low speeds.
      We dont have the highway problem inside cities because our cities are already extremely dense and there are really not real "highways" within a city. And Yeap, our public infrastructure requires at-least 20 years of bi-partisan development to achieve something similar to the first world.

    India is very slow to build express way.
    China built 170000 kilometers express way.And 150000 kilometers railway.
    USA built 96000 express way.
    USA built 200000 railway.
    India can do it within next 30 years .
