I love Naka obviously, but didn't he drop down to 3 recently? I would love to be wrong!
Yeah he did actually, by 6 points.
However, from interviews I’ve seen, there seems to be a lot of players that consider him to be the second best player in the world right now.
But I guess the rankings don’t lie. We’ll see what happens in a few months, I’d love to see him surge ahead.

@@OGRia In standard (tied) and blitz he is ranked third. In rapid, the time control players don't care much about (Magnus isn't even number 1 in it, Ding is) he is number 14. This is all based on rating. He is tied with Ding, the world champion because Magnus dipped out, in standard. You can pretend he is washed up but numbers don't lie. Naka is playing his best chess right now.

Did Magnus end up getting 11/11?
I think he did. His first time.
Only Hikaru and Magnus got 11/11 but I don't think Hikaru did it with Magnus playing

@@hubertmcnuggetsNope, this was the first time, Magnus hasnt played that many TT. Hes only playing since 2022 i guess, actively.. and he's been not as active as Naka. So theres no chance magnus has done it before

But audiences only had to wait seven weeks for a third 11/11 score-and, of course, it is Nakamura again doing the honors.
@@hubertmcnuggets Yeah, magnus just did it by pure either luck or coincidence since he didnt try to perfect score until he beat Naka with the black pieces. Magnus plays so rarely, he had only like 1 or 2 moths where he played actively at least early or late TT. He stopped again, played again last late TT and got humbled, you can tell Magnus isnt in shape when he's not active

U know there is no victor in game of chess if noone blunders..that's what we call magnus beating hikaru..
Even magnus blunders like that against Naka, even worst blunders. Thats part of the game
@@siddhartham1973that's not necessarily true. Well it depends on what you consider "blunders"... you can make inaccuracies and mistakes according to Stockfish and lose
Honestly, if he was playing in Lichess Zen mode he would probably do so much better. I've never seen him play with such little confidence as he just did against Magnus, he doubted himself every move
@@liljackypaper Every single of his opponents blunder like shit, either against Magnus or Naka. Magnus when lost th SCC to Naka guess what. A lot of dum b blunders, even blunder a bishop in one by moving in it in a threated square. A mate in 2, that even Naka was surprised magnus missed and a lot of easy táctics for them in 5+1 due to magnus being under 2 minutes every game. So yeah, that happens every single blitz game, you can say in rapid or classical there can be more decisive games by only inaccuracies but in blitz there are always big blunders

The best TT 11/11 by Magnus winning on 4 July - Independence day of America against the best american players Hikaru, Fabi and some others strong GM's. Still the final BOSS of this event is Hikaru with 2 perfect 11/11 and many others victories
Nope... Hikarus 11/11 wasnt against best players...no Fabi, no Magnus,.. still impressive, but not in par with Magnuses 11/11 with all best players.
