Magnus Carlsen is a Norwegian chess grandmaster who is the former five-time World Chess Champion, reigning four-time World Rapid Chess Champion, and reigning six-time World Blitz Chess Champion. Arguably the greatest Chess player of all time, Carlsen has held the No. 1 position in the FIDE world chess rankings since 1 July 2011 and trails only Garry Kasparov in time spent as the highest-rated player in the world. His peak rating of 2882 is the highest in history. He also holds the record for the longest unbeaten streak at the elite level in classical chess.
He became a grandmaster at the age of 13, the second youngest in history at the time, and quickly established himself as a rising star in the world of chess. In 2013, Carlsen won the World Chess Championship and has since defended his title multiple times, solidifying his position as one of the greatest players of all time.
Carlsen is known for his exceptional skill in the fast-paced bullet chess format, where he regularly defeats other top players in high-pressure matches. He has been compared to legendary chess players such as Garry Kasparov and Bobby Fischer for his strategic abilities and quick-thinking, earning him the respect and admiration of his peers. His greatest rival in the chess world is American Rapid & Blitz specialist Hikaru Nakamura, against whom he has had many intense battles.
In addition to his impressive track record in competitive chess, Carlsen is also known for his willingness to take on challenges outside of the traditional chess world. He has played chess against artificial intelligence and has even competed in the World Blitz and Rapid Championships, where he won multiple gold medals. In recent times, Carlsen has turned to playing Poker, of which he has had limited success. With his natural talent and dedication to the game, Carlsen continues to be a dominant force in the world of chess and a true legend in the sport.
The first 3 Titled Tuesday Games are at the end of video as there were some issues with Magnus' audio. Enjoy!
It’s just nice to see that one of the greatest geniuses in the world is still just a guy that can’t get a mic to work like the rest of us
😂💯
I can’t get a mic to work and I’m stupid lmao
Just like anyone should know that. Man let him just be a genius in chess who cares the mic
Peasants
Me: Magnus has 3.4 seconds left; start to stress out.
Magnus: I have plenty of time, now.
Haha.
Me exactly
Magnus: makes random moves "doesn't know what he's doing", beats a GM.
Me: makes random moves, loses to a 1300
I think its not about making random movements but having no preconceived mindset of what youre going to do and flowing with the game
Ciao magnum
Magnus won both titled tuesdays that day, what a man!
What is even more impressive that he is not even trying to win these events he just shows up plays some bullshit openings, doesnt take himself too serious yet still wins with ease
Well, he is the greatest of all time to be fair
Was Hikaru not playing that day?
@@nicksrub Hikaru was in his vault counting his money.
@@KidNoah2012doesnt Magnus have a bigger net worth?
People: oh no my queen is pinned.
Magnus: oh wow wonderful his bishop is pinned.
10/11 TT run against Bortnyk, Grigoriy Oparin, Nihal, Duda, Alireza and Aravindh Chithambaram like it's a piece of cake. Goodness gracious
A great pleasure to listen Carlsen ideas , jokes and how he analysed.
there were no jokes. His comments were boring and dull.
Free live commentary of his own games from the greatest player there has ever been. There’s no pleasing some people 😂
This man says he played "Terrible" but still destroys GMs
The game against Firouzja was a masterpiece
I love the frequent magnus streams. Great content!
Wins all TT of the day --> "i played terrible"
101% Magnus is GOAT!
Good to see this. I used to enjoy his banter blitz videos.
So happy for you and LOVE your humility, and your transparency. I LOVE listening to your thought process!!!
Me too, I agree, so humble and genuine and smart and fun...
He's not done yet.❤️
Thanks for all you too Magnus !
50:45 awesome mate in 2 coming for there. This guy is unstoppable
we should appreciate this, this is like if lebron streamed himself watching film
More like LeBron filming himself humiliating Doncic, Curry, Durant and Kwame Brown in a barbecue in the backyard
At what time does he streams? What is the european time?
"Obviously those games wasn't good... but i won them"
Such a GIGACHAD
I'll never understand how you can sit there and rattle off a line that wins you a piece, wait until your clock has ten seconds left, and then start blitzing out a losing variation. Glad I'm not cursed with this kind of genius
He's so much fun to watch!
I'm always watch magnus play i hope i can upgrade my tactics..😊
Whats the difference between bullet blitz and fast
4:54 He perfectly centered that black pawn into the white one.
Спасибо! Как же здорово видеть стрим Магнуса и то что он в отличном настроении💥🥇Хейтеры, идите умойтесь🤧
Magnus has no haters
Yes! I can't wait to get home, make some popcorn and enjoy this!
Yeah, and it's even better when he calls everyone who's tuning in to watch him "fucking morons."
Magnus do a live yesterday???
39:51 What is wrong with Nf2?
It's amazing how Magnus is #1 in the world and still manages to impress.
He impresses BECAUSE he is #1 in the world - DAH!!!!🤔🤔🤔
His classic performance last 2 years is impressive.
Right here, bishop takes the kings pawn on e3
his precision in moves is from another planet
Imagine drawing a 3k rated player and losing 5 pts of elo. Jesus.
50.04 why didn't pawn take the bishop. Because of eventual queen and king fork?
when he misses some tactics and positional moves that i saw it makes me feel he is actualy the same species that i am
0:51
Why didn't white capture on E5? It was a free pawn because Magnus wouldn't be able to re-capture since his queen would be captured if he did?
Magnus CAN re-capture on e5. And after trading queens, Magnus would have his rook on the opening e-file with an advantageous position.
Watching Magnus troll GMs with 1.h4 will never not be entertained
22:00
"if he missed that he's kinda just tra.... uuuhm exchanged his bishop for no reason"
Lol
It's always nice to see Roger Federer enjoying hobbies other than tennis
1:15:00 Go Blitzstream !!! Tonton Kev rpz !!! 🦈
Who says he is declining.. he is just letting these bozos win sometimes ...the ultimate boss !!
This is an insight into how his brain thinks, and I'm all for it!
Gracias Campeón! por compartir y transmitir tus partidas de ajedrez, porque nos ayudan a entender, divertir y querer mejorar el juego!
Hola amigo, de dónde eres?
Jugamos ajedrez?
10:47 😂
It's very interesting and entertaining to watch you play Carlsen (especially online in such a fast format)! Thank you for sharing this on TH-cam! By the way, you probably know that diet Coke is carcinogenic, right!? Probably better than "normal" Coke, but yeah...
very important to make Magnus Carlsen have Emote Only Mode on in his chat. God forbid one of the 900 ELO chatters feed winning moves to the 5 TIME WORLD CHESS CHAMPION.
This guy's pretty good. With my help he could be the best.
Reeeeeealy
If Magnus was a physicist, he wouod have won Nobels in all formats
Can anyone say his watch name?
@@evasion6417 watch name brother
He's unbelievable
19:44 White should've played b4 and trap black's knight
Oh! I have the same lamp from IKEA))
hahahaha
So extremely extremely strong. No wonder he’s no1!!!
FYI it’s true, b6 is one of the worst openings to play against 1.h4. Just play d5 or e5.
34:11 why not just take the bishop right away? Would have gotten rid of the passer.
Because he can capture the bishop any time.. the bishop is pinned to the defense of the g pawn. He waited for his opponent to waste a tempo on Rh6 to free up his bishop, THEN he capture the bishop... therefore Magnus won an extra tempo in the endgame.
Also if white captures the bishop immediately, black recaptures with the rook and white's e pawn is hanging, probably resulting to 2 pawns vs 1 pawn which is probably a draw.
The speed is impressive.
Abi peki fedalar olunca berabereye yatiliyomuy du yatilabiliyo muydu bizim merak ettigimiz bu :D siyah ftw xd
off magnus birde türkçe konuşsan ne güzel olacak.🇹🇷 Türkiye den tüm Norveçlilere selamlar
Pls save us from Abbasov!
37.38 ... b4 for white?
Magnus is cute
Is it true Hikaru is joining Niemanns team to help Niemann prepare before matches? The rumor is that Hikaru will dig deep to give a fellow american an assvantage in beating Magnus?
omegalul
Online chess is turning into a joke. Magnus is 3269. Playing against an FM who is somehow 2934. That should not be the case. If you roughly convert it to ELO, that FM should be 2690.. Unless someone can explain how the gap can be so small.
On line cheating is a big isue.
Cheating is an issue, but there's a other couple reasons for this. One is that rating starts to heavily cap out at 2900-3000. VERY few people are above 3000. Which means that if you are 3000 or above, you mostly start play people who are mostly 2 or 300 rated lower than you because that's all that's available. Which means if you win you get generally gain like 2 or 3 rating points, losing a game means losing -15 rating points or so. This makes it very difficult to gain rating at that level. Also, a lot of super GMs often just don't play online often (or at all), allowing some particuarly committed GMs, IMs and even FMs who are good at online blitz to gain more rating points than they would normally
ELO only works inside that specific pool of players
Well. There are many FMs and others out there that plays very litlle OTB tourneys. They are hobby players and can be massively underrated.
There are many people who are much better at blitz chess than at OTB, and vice versa.
I could too, just not in this life.
ask later😄
Hes wearing a watch he obviously cheated
Magnus 😴😴😴.
Nakamura 😀😀
The most arrogant chess player on earth
Define arrogant.
If this dude has no rivals, why is he always losing?
Because chess players cheating in classic matches.
How is he always losing? In this stream, for example, he won the tournament.
He play theme all, 3009 and you Open with H4. Then yoy know you are in trouble against MC
Lol always losing u said? 😂
magnus should retire if he doesn't want to play serious tournaments again.
Bro that's his life he can wtever he want he doesn't need to prove anything anymore let him live his life happily
What a weird huge alarm clock😂
Who for the play ? @cristofherjuliao from 🇩🇴. ¡GO GAME!
As a chess commentator he is simply awful! He’d better keep his mouth shut
For a non chessplayer like you, that is most likely the case, but for decent chessplayers it's fine
Agreed, not the most engaging. But when you get the chance to see and hear one of the GOAT's playing. The goal is to respectfully listen, watch and perhaps learn. Not focus on the lack of bells and whistles. Would we say that about Bobby Fischer or any of the other greats, if they lacked the charisma? I think not.
He needs to keep his month shut if he can't comment on his own game. What he is says is non-sense. @@user-vz2lc5kw9c
He has minutes, seconds and occasionally milliseconds to calculate and make his move and he's able to also casually commentate his thought process throughout and you're not impressed? lol
@@user-vz2lc5kw9c Lol quit talking about your baseless opinions as if they are facts
