It's nice to just make content for yourself and finding an audience that likes it. I don't know if it's just me but a lot of channels I've stumbled upon recently have done the same, giving up on the algorithm and just making what they want to make regardless of any drawbacks.
I think there are definitely shifts with content creation styles & hopefully this one lasts a while as I personally find videos from these small creators super refreshing!
Yep, I have a channel for one of my hobbies which has been abandoned. Going to start one for traveling mostly because I will be working on it with my sister and as an excuse to travel around my state and write off my vacations lol. And I have my 31 day channel which I feel like it is a channel FOR ME. And you should have one for you too! No shame! It's like a breath of fresh air!
I think it's totally cool for everyone to have different goals with their channels. But when it comes to long term sustainability, the more you infuse yourself into it, the easier it is down the road! Sounds like a fun family project you have in the works!

Thanks so much! When it comes to short or longform videos, IMO, any video you post will be better than not posting and if you're shorts link back to your long form content, that's an effective way to keep everything cohesive. In the past, I've made shorts that are almost like mini ads for my longer videos.
