As someone that is breaking into REP, personally I like the lights off in a white room or on a super sunny day. However, professionally, and I do use that term VERY loosely right now with my limited experience of being paid for my work, I like WHATEVER they paid me to shoot as I ask them in my questionnaire 'lights on or off?' I have no skin in the game and its their choice.
That's a great idea to put the question of lights on or off in your questionnaire. Good luck in your new endevour in to real estate photography. There are plenty of opportunites to build a decent career with all the different services you can offer alongside taking photos. Thanks for wtahcing and commenting.

I shoot without lights all year round. Even in late December here in Sweden. Flambient is the way to go.
Agreed. You can create your own light with the flash. Thanks for watching and commenting
