I have been following Nathan Cool for years. He makes it look so simple but when I come to do the editing it all goes wrong. Your method is so much simpler, in reality. Thank you.
Just came across your channel in my continual quest to find better methods for the editing workflow for real estate photos. This is the first time I have seen someone use Channels in a photo and I'm in the middle of testing it out. Thank you for sharing! It appears you are keen on streamlining your workflow. There is always more to learn. A couple things I am noting as I walk through your video. I notice you take your flash shot first, then the ambient. When you import them into Photoshop, it appears you are needing to manually move the ambient shot up on top. If you shot the ambient pic first in a room, then the flash, when you import them into Lightroom, then transfer them into Photoshop, the ambient pic will be on top because of the shooting order. And omitting a manual move of that layer with your mouse. Three of the most frequently used keyboard sequences used for real estate photo editing are 1) Importing as layers from Lightroom into Photoshop, (for EVERY photo!) 2) Aligning layers in Photoshop, 3) Flatten, Save, Close at the end of editing each photo set. (I found the "Import as Layers" keystroke set for Mac, but I use a PC and couldn't find it for months. Then I came across it in a video: Alt-P-E-Up Arrow-Return. The keys are faster than using the mouse to move through the steps, but I found a faster way...) I saw a different video where the author said he used a gaming mouse to program in often-used keyboard shortcuts. So I looked around and found a free Windows program called X-Mouse Button Control and fiddled with it to program in the "Import as Layers" keystroke sequence, then some others. The mouse program permits inserting a short delay in the execution of the automated key sequence, which I found necessary for the Flatten-Save-Close sequence. It takes a couple seconds sometimes to Save the file and the Close function must wait until that's done to execute. I had a Logitech M325 mouse that has three functions in the wheel that are usable (tilt left/right, and depress) but I just bought an M510 Logitech mouse for $20 on Amazon that has two more function buttons on the side. I am adding my comment here because I am finding that for the often-use keystroke sequences, pushing the mouse button is even faster than hitting a function button to trigger an action (and I have a few of those, too).

Generally yes. I’d say about 80% of the shots I take are just two shots. Obviously times when it’s really bright outside and you might need to take a 3rd window exposure shot. Here in the UK it’s often quite dull, so I can shoot like this. Might be different where you are if there’s a lot of bright sunshine. I’ll make another video soon about how to shoot and edit window exposures.
"Pretty damn good" is definitely an understatement - THANK YOU for this well done video! It isn't that often that a video can save you so much time and money, but this one certainly will. Helpful video! Always been a bit baffled by 'actions' and you're right, most YT vids skip over that part..often find I'm inadvertently on the wrong layer or I've accidentally pressed something and end up in a muddle(!)
fact is nathan as full action and goes in deep with them , this guy here isnt . so guys do your home wrok before talking trash about outher people that actaully do a way better job at explaining and set up the actions and images order properly !!!.

I am adding my comment here because I am finding that for the often-use keystroke sequences, pushing the mouse button is even faster than hitting a function button to trigger an action (and I have a few of those, too).

You only do 1 flash and 1 ambiente with the exposure in the middle for every room? always works like this?
Generally yes. I’d say about 80% of the shots I take are just two shots. Obviously times when it’s really bright outside and you might need to take a 3rd window exposure shot.
