- (11/23/2015) This is a VERY impressive facility and definitely much nicer than the old library. They have an outdoor patio, coffee shop, 2 fireplaces, 40 computers, highspeed internet access, and of course a ThyssenKrupp Elevator.

The library in Columbus I used, to go to, was completely remodeled, including the parking garage! Back then it was very old, but it was so beautiful when it was completely renovated!!

Last year, the town of Athol (MA) redid their old library, with a huge new expansion to triple it's size. Like this new one, it had a Signa-4, and after all the years of riding, it was my very 1st Signa-4 "TyvansKurpp" EVER.
It'll be awhile before you see it, as it's backlogged.

My library is the same. It been relocated twice. First one I don’t know. Second one has a Dover Impluse from 2001 but it got relocated to a new building with a TK Aurora from 2007 in 2012. The Dover is still in service since the old one is at the city hall.
This is a nice Library. Love that Signa4 though, like has been said, it is a bit too silver for the Library. I am just glad the door is silent. The Signa4 Elevators at West TN Neurology which was installed around 2010 or so have very loud and annoying doors. Also love that coffee shop and patio, those are very nice features for a Library.
New Roc City in New Rochelle used to have a glow-in-the-dark (18-hole) miniature golf course on the 1st floor, but they moved it up to the 3rd floor; the original golf course has since been replaced with a Barnes & Noble store. Same thing may have happened with a racing track there; the 3rd floor arcade has a much smaller racing track, while the much bigger one on the 1st floor was changed to a play center for little kids.
Now the Dover at VBC isn't the only elevator in Vinton ! :D
A bit redundant that the elevator has separate buttons for the front and rear doors when only one side opens on each floor.
The library I live near has a really nice old elevator not sure what brand it was but it was still cool to see

This library is amazing! Last year our library in Loveland, CO remodeled and they added a 2nd floor. We have the Signa4 too!

I also remember going to a small building near where I live that was actually just built and it wasnt as interesting as this but the elevator was an epic brand new schindler either 3300 or 5500 even though both those models are quite similar
I love it, it has modern style which the Clinton, MS got a fresh new library in 2009 in which you were able to have private study rooms and a genealogy room as well. Plus the selection on books were widened out quite a bit as well...The old one was way too small and outdated. I think now they use the old one as the new Clinton community center.

Nice new library! I assume this just opened sometime last week? A very nice open space. Interesting that they got a coffee shop in there as well. The elevator is pretty cool, a nice newer ThyssenKrupp!

For some odd reason TK Signa 4s are rare where I live, even though there is a TK like company named O'Keefe Elevator Inc. in my area. It does serve and install elevators in my area.
The elevator at my high school that I go to is also a thyssenkrupp and it also has that very loud bell and a very annoying buzz on the inside indicator

But it didnt work all that great it had some bad leveling problems but as of now they did fix it but since it was a hydraulic elevator now it takes ages to start up and ages to level

A weird old fire pull station for a new building.
yeah that's an Edwards 270-Spo pull station of I'm not mistaken. Someone needs to do a fire alarm tour of it next.

+WheelockElevator I like the fact that Edwards/EST is still producing the 270 series pull stations, very classic looking if you ask me (like the T-Bar from Simplex). I believe the notification devices in there are the Genesis series, I thought I noticed a few ceiling mount and wall mount devices throughout.
What do they plan to do with the building that the old library was in?
