When I was in 4th grade. I did a project on Elisha Otis. And we found videos of elevators. That's what made me join the elevator community.

Ooooh snap! I rode that Hyatt Hilton 'vator back in 1986 with some friends from high school...and there was a temporary opaque plastic piece replacing a missing window. It felt "safe" but I reeeeally wondered what happened to that window.

Congrats for 3000 videos,elevator enthusiast is an amazing work and hobby,however my enthusiast is film voiceover elevators that I never seen,record samples of chimes(newers and olders) that I use for my notifications,and explore special features such as the power saving mode from elevators,from your video now,I'm not even liking every stuff you show as I got informed what is real and what is glitch,then I know what to do!!!!!!

Fixtures: In The Atlanta Marriott Marquis: Otis Series (2? 3? 4?)/Outside Otis Call Button (Either Otis Series 4? or 5?)
10:20 In the clip you took from 1993 the indicator chime sounds like a telephone ringing every time it passes a floor, compared to today where or is just a standard beep, also I went to a Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio, Texas, and stayed there for a week when my High School Band class went to participate and compete in the Alamo Bowl (We went by bus). The hotel was the Grand Hyatt. And WOW was it nice. I only filmed the Elevators there but the rooms were very nice by Hyatt Standards.

Your "Low Lux" option barely makes a difference in dark areas. Turn that off when you're not going to be in near total darkeness for most of a clip, as leaving it on creates unnecessary jerkiness in the video (30-60FPS toggling).

Eric did a great job on this video. Sadly, he is no longer an elevator filmer. The Marriott Marquis also fixed the floor passing chimes on their elevators that didn't chime.

This elevator is truly a one amazing one. This is an amazing retake I tremendously love love 💕 this shape. I love love those beautiful fixtures too. We all love love glass ones. I really love love this elevator compared to the ones at the Hyatt regency in Atlanta.

Hey DD since you live in Virginia you should try and make your way to Johnstown PA and visit our vehicular inclined plane. We also have a bunch of old elevators especially one in our Amtrak station and two old Otis elevators in our out patient hospital downtown but you probably wouldn't be allowed to video them.
How did Eric add the 1993 excerpts into that video, and how he edited it. Describe it to me in the most specific way
My theory on the Marriott Marquis in the modernization, they used the same Moters that the otis series 1 system had. Correct me if I am wrong

I know that when I go to Atlanta, I will only film her most epic of lifts!!! I'll research hard on where are the most antique lifts & obtain permission from the security guards to film those first before the famous ones !
