I totally agree. That's the thing, they serve a purpose that many people need. Especially when you look at short overnight connections. I think the same company have similar set ups in BGY and Vienna
Thanks so much for this, I found it hard to find much info and now I know, I won’t be using the pod. I’ll go to the trouble of passing security to take a hotel for the night. Sound proofing is my biggest priority as I’m such a light sleeper. They should take note of the transit hotels in Amsterdam.
Very useful info. I'm staying there for a few hours next week. Arriving from Dub after midnight and flying to LCJ at 6:00am. Was wondering if I should book it as it's quite expensive (€58) for around 4hrs but will give it a try. ''Own secure bed'' is better then terminal floor. Anyways I will find out soon. Thanks.
Arrived in Bergamo Airport around 1:00am and when I got to arrivals hall I was shocked how many people was sleeping on terminal floor. I was glad that I booked that sleeping pod even for a few hours. Check in process was quick and easy. When I got to my pod I closed the window blind and set up alarm clock. I took a while because touch screen wasn't very responsive. It was warm a quiet inside but had my earplugs anyway. The only bad thing about the pod is that toilet is quite far away so had to walk in the middle of the night for about two minutes (maybe less) to get to toilet. When I returned to the pod couldn't get in. I entered my phone number but it didn't work... It turned out that I didn't select Irish country code from drop down list (I was sleepy and tired and Italian country code looks almost the same) so pod didn't recognize my phone number and said it's fully booked. I eventually noticed my mistake and got in no problems but it gave me a little bit of stress. Alarm went off at 4:30am got my stuff and checked out. My flight was at 6:00am, got through security in 10min or so and still have time for a coffee. To sum up it was worth staying there and sleep on normal bed and get some proper rest before another flight. I wouldn't feel safe sleeping on the floor with all other people and probably wouldn't get any sleep. If I ever have layover like this I will definitely book a sleeping pod again. Thanks.@@JTsJourneys
Was thinking about booking one for Venice tomorrow but the fact that it doesn't come with a blanket, not so nice. I guess I can buy a cheap EUR 10 blanket and dispose of it afterwards but still.
I used these pods in verona airport, not for a layover or even to catch an early morning flight but genuinely because it was the cheapest option for that night. The screens didn't work and I had to message the support number on Whatsapp any time I wanted the lights turned on/off or the windows opened. Probably one of the worst night sleeps I've ever had and I don't think the pods are designed for a full night but it was a rather interesting experience and as uncomfortable as it was, it's a place to sleep.
The downside is that it is only for night staying. I wanted to rest after a very early morning flight before taking the bus to the city center for an appointment in the afternoon which was impossible. At this point for me it had no use at all. I might try some other time.
@@JTsJourneys I saw this in the GRU airport in Brazil... If I am laid over there for 12 hours like I was this time I will probably consider using one of these, otherwise I have to sleep with one eye open so to speak. And after a 6 hour bus ride ... you can almost sleep through anything so loudness is not really the issue. Also the checkin-check out times really make no sense one what should be an ala-carte service. the VCP airport has really nice chairs you can kick back in the terminals... but its still not so secure to sleep like that even if only other passengers are nearby and you are in the "public" per se.
@@Wingnut353 so true, after a long bus ride you really can sleep anywhere! Hopefully you got a fairly decent sleep on the airport floor! Have a great flight !
So let me understand this? This pod can be used after we checked in? So if for example, if we arrive at Malpensa airport a couple of hours before the check in desk open, can we still use the pod?
I don’t land in Milan until half 11 at night and I’m going to Rimini at 7am (by train). Anyone know if it’s worth staying in one of these and then getting the first train down to Milan?
might be a cheaper option vs a hotel, although depending where your train is from it might be better to get into the city centre so you don't have to worry about travelling into the city in the morning
@@JTsJourneys my flight departs at 6 am... so yeah I can check in only after 23:00 (it costs 5€ more if you want to get in after 20:00). Now that you're telling me that I can hear everything outside... it really feels like sleeping inside a garbage container.
@@giuliovinci242 the real value comes from having you and your things securely inside a box, where you can get changed, and charge your electronics. If you think you'll be fine sleeping on an airport bench and leaving your things out then it's not worth it
@@JTsJourneys I haven't slept the whole night anyway. There was the airport voice reminding me to put on my mask every 15 minutes, the sweeper lady with the vacuum cleaner every 30 minutes, the snoring guy in the other cabin, people talking loudly outside, a boy playing with his ball in front of the cabins at 1 am. The only difference between sitting on a bench inside the airport or sitting inside this cabin is 64€ in my pocket. The only good thing is that I could remove my covid mask for five hours. In normal conditions, this thing has no real reason to be used. Good idea, VERY BAD implementation.
These pods would be great in other airports. Especially the bigger Intl ones where people having much longer layovers

It’s a good idea for a short layover, but cannot compare to a real hotel room
Whoa looks nice and cozy!
Cozy yes, nice not so sure

Didn't bring any extra stuff with me so slept on the bed as is! Was rather uncomfortable but at least it's somewhere to sleep.
Interesting experience, I found it the same, not a good sleep but a means to an end
Appreciate the sharing on capsule. How is the ventilation in the capsule? Notice the ventilation control on the screen. Is it very stuffy?
Ventilation was okay, the roof opened up. However that means you can hear everything from the outside. It was a bit stuffy
Капсулу для сна нужно бронировать заранее или же можно это сделать по прибытию в аэропорт?
I think both options are available however there’s limited numbers so I’d recommend booking in advance

I wouldn't recommend it for that really, it was fairly loud at night so it would be even louder in the morning

Just use some sleeping background noise from TH-cam
Gracias muy buena información desconocía poder dormir en el aeropuerto.
Terminal 2 arrival at 2am. Would there a provision there?
If pre booked I expect so. It’s not attended therefore it’s all self check in

Yes as they’re before security
Do you Booked it for hours or the whole night ???
I booked it for the whole night
Thanks for the review 👏👏👏
No problem!
Question that can be for 2 people at the same place or we have to be one in each place
good question, worth asking them direct. I think the floor has some sort of weight to determine if you're inside or not
I didn't get any sockets, and they didn't have any like changes 🥺
That sucks! seems to be a very inconsistent product

If I go out of this pod for dinner, or toilet. I have to check the passport every time? Is there a password, or key?
I seem to remember it was to enter your mobile number to re enter
Did it feel chlostrophobic?
It was okay actually, although it was small there was enough head room not to feel claustrophobic.
I have a flight at early time. And I need to stay this airprt for my flight. What do u think is it safety and can I sleep somewhere? Do u know?
Plenty of people sleeping on chairs and the floor when I visited
That didn't look comfortable at all, you took one for the team lol!
It wasn't the best, but it certainly served the purpose i needed it for!
Is that terminal 1 ? :)
Yes this was terminal 1
I don't have passport. I can use another identification to get in my apartment ??
I'm not to sure, best to check with them
@@JTsJourneys Yes, we can !!!
when was filmed?
Hi, this was August 2020
How long we use this capsule ? Is there any time limit
Yes I think it’s around 7 hours I booked it for
And what were the charges you paid?
Good but too expensive 49€ 4 hours 🕓 sleep
I agree! 35 would be reasonable
Are these free of cost?
Around 40euro is current price
What is the fee ?
How Much Costs?
EUR 47
Now it costs 64 :(
Ouch, that’s steep, especially if you only have 4 or 5 hours in there like I did

Where is the bathroom?
It’s actually just next to the pods, it’s the public bathrooms for the terminal, so no shower!
