This was such a terrific video! We didn’t know much about Milan and now we do! We’ve got one day - This is the perfect introduction. Really entertaining, informative and just lots of fun. Thanks so much. We subscribed!
I’m born and raised in Milan, as experienced traveller I kindly suggest to not consider July and August to visit Milan it could be extremely hot there transforming your trip in a nightmare! The best periods to visit the city are definitely October march April and may. Also other autumn and winter months are not bad if you are not afraid of a little bit of cold (not so much anymore).
Rick Steves has some serious competition. I was in Milan in Sept. 2022 and saw two things you need to add. Add Leonardo's 21' tall iron horse replica. It's easy to get there by Metro. From there you walk to the cemetery, which is insane in size and complexity. Keep up the good work.
Not to worry... Milan is OK for sightseeing for one day but I'd say Venice and the lakes region are easily the best places in Italy together with Rome. You've seen amazing places. Milan is overrated think.
My first time watching one of your videos and I really enjoyed it! I’m cycling from Brindisi to the UK in May & June and will be stopping in Milan and other cities. This has whetted my appetite 🙏
If you an average Joe like me, 2 days is good enough for Milan !! After 2 days I was bored of it !! I’m not going to shop at Gucci, Chanel etc… I can find those things back home. I actually think Milan should be one of the last cities on your list if you go to Italy. Best thing about Milan was it was close to Lake Como. In my opinion, go to Rome, Florence, Naples, Pompeii, Malfy,Portifino before going to to Milan. Not sure what it is about Italian coffee barristers, but they always make cold coffee
You missed one of the most fantastic places in Milan and I highly recommend. Cimitero Monumentale di Milan. Found this by accident and will visit again and again whenever in Milan.
Traveling to Milan soon and won't be there very long, so it is awesome to have a list of places to visit from your suggestions. Thanks for great video!

FANTASTIC! Ive been to Milan but going in September to see the Last Supper and go shopping. Some great suggestions for eats. Really appreciate your guidance!
Brilliant video! As a milanese, I'd say that you missed a few places, like Colonne di San Lorenzo, San Bernardino alle ossa church (really creepy but interesting), Sant'Ambrogio church, Palazzo Marino (in front of La Scala), Stazione Centrale (especially the Shoah memorial) and Cimitero Monumentale (great cemetery). There are also some roman ruins like Palazzo Imperiale di Massimiano and I suggest also the civic archeological museum. Finally, i suggest also City Life, a beautiful residential neighborhood. For what concerns the food, i strongly reccommend Risotto alla milanese con ossobuco, one of my favourite milanese dishes.
@@TheTourGuyVids Definitely! Unfortunately Milan has the stigma of being less attractive than other italian cities. Of course the competition is really high but Milan is not far behind and thanks to you this is more evident
To my taste, you Missed Guiseppe Meazza Staduim. Home of AC Milan and Internazionale. Its an historic stadium for football fans all over the world. Great video nonetheless, its much appreciated.
Next time! I like to leave soccer stadiums for fans like us. Check out the Dublin episode. We included Croke Park because it included a lot of history.
Amazing video man! Wanted your recommendations where to stay from where everything is walking. You mentioned in your video you stayed in central milan. Could you let me know where was it?
love your videos!! Coming to Italy for the first time at Christmas. Your videos have really helped me and my husband book our trip. We are doing most by train. Arriving in Milan from Lake Como by Train. Where would you recommend for a hotel near the train station? I have booked your recommended hotels in both Rome & Florence. Thanks for your time!!
Great video but one correction: The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci is not a fresco. It is a mural painting created with tempera and oil on a dry wall, a technique known as "secco" in Italian. Unlike frescoes, which are painted on wet plaster and become part of the wall itself, secco murals are painted on dry plaster and are more susceptible to damage over time.
I'm in Milan next weekend for the conference. It'll be my first time to visit the city, and my time to explore it is quite limited. Your video helps me plan and get the most out of it! Thank you! ❤
Can we cover all the important places to visit in Milan in one day? If we stay close to the central station, can we visit all the places by walking, or should we take the metro or hop-on hop-off bus? What do you advise?
Lovely video very informative. I am coming Venice in February, where we shall be taking the fast train to Milano central. Do you recommend booking the seats on the fast train in advance?
Hello, great video and very helpful. We're going to Milan at October and I wanted to book tickets for the Last Supper 2 months prior but everything seems sold out already. How many months prior to your visit do you need to book ?? Do you know if they sell any tickets there ?
Hello!, I loved your video, I will definitely do your route. I just need to know how to get around; I mean, I must buy a train ticket for each rute or there is some option to buy one for the whole day. What do you advise me?

Would you recommend day trip to Milan from Venice if so are there trains coming back on a same day to Venice ?
I guess it depends on why you would want to do that? Most people find Venice so magical they don’t wanna leave.
Milan is the capital of Europe. Better than london and paris together !!!
That's a strong statement. Let's see if others agree
Nice
