When you pulled your hair apart to show the webbing and tangles, that's how my hair looks alllllll the time -- right after I detangle and twist up before washing, after washing, after detaining post wash, and if I get the wild idea to separate a twist or braid out, then too lol. Recently switched to clays instead of shampoos and it's helped a ton, but girl. The fine strand struggles!
@M M I feel you! Try clay washes if you haven't. I Mix kaolin, rhassoul and bentonite and moisturize with aloe vera and something glycerin containing them seal. If you've got tips n tricks, spill em. Cuz just when I think I got it figured out... my 4c crown puts me in my place lol.
Girl, this fine hair!!! Then if I add water to it, it’s dry and rough when it dries. Shampoo doesn’t bother me and washing twice a week has reduced the tangling and keeps it moisturized. I just have keep it stretched at all times. 😞
@@mswtaz94 hard to wash *more* often when it's such a task in the first place, but I get how it can be easier the more often it's done. When Lexi said she washes once a week I was like, no ma'am! But I'll try every other week instead of once a month. Thanks! Eek, plain water will dry ya out hon. Put some glycerin (a little will do you) and maybe AVJ in it. You'll be juicy all summer but have no definition. Alternatively, some of your fav rinse out cond in a bottle with water might work too. Good luck! Love on that crown.
C Jones Sadly, Aloe dries and tangles it and glycerin puffs and tangles it. My hair hates everything. If I have to moisturize, I use a leave in or moisturizer cream an seal.
Pre-poo’n is a MUST for me before shampooing . I love a good lather and clean feeling so yes I pre-poo. I typically use fresh aloe from the plant if I’m out I’ll use either my Tresemme, V05, or Paul Mitchel rinse out conditioners super cheap with tons of slip! I mainly finger detangle but pull out a tool (tangle teezer or felecia leatherwood) when I do my “big” wash days and that’s about every 6-8weeks.
Monica M Sorry!! Yes I did use a wide tooth comb prior to using the Kazmaleje. The Kazmaleje works like 5 wide teeth combs in one!! It’s AMAZING!!! After I use it I follow up with the ultimate detangler which results in more amazingness!! I’m just blown away!! You will never use a wide tooth comb again after experiencing Kazmaleje!!!
@@Timetrae I Cosign that 100%!!! But I will say that while I've followed up with the tangle teezer shower detangler (seen in the video) & the tangle teezer ultimate brush (same concept, but an overall larger brush with longer bristles), my favorite combo is the Kazmaleje brush followed up with the Manta brush; I get a very smooth detangle from roots to end and minimal* breakage 💁🏾♀️
Lexi, you’re def a fave! It was so relaxing watching you re-moisturize your hair. I haven’t washed my hair in two weeks. I’m about to get on it, I’ve just been lazy 😩. Really trying to be disciplined again. I’m working in Orlando, and the city is opening back up slowly as well, but IM gonna be quarantined. Period! Love the video!
Im still in quarantine but will be back to work by June unfortunately 😭 been loving this time off a little to much. 😁 love the video , yes u definitely played ya self not detangling during the conditioning step. I would have been crying if i was you just then. But great video for those that may feel overwhelmed when their hair gets like that and dont know what to do.
How cool is this? It was just today that I washsearching for videos on how to to detangle my hair because I have been getting some breakage and Lexi comes through once again 😂 thanks for the video! ❤️
Yea prepoo is a must or it will be a 2-3hrs detangling mess after shampoo and huge knots matted and everything. I have to soak with water and oil, makes shampooing a breeze
Your hair is so lovely and thick. Looking forward to the next step also. We're not back at work yet. Waiting to hear what will happen this school year.
Now I know that maybe I shouldn't let my hair just be if it's not done, I can just plait it with some conditioner to keep it from overly tangling and drying out. Hmm..🤔 Thanks Lexi!!! 👍🏾
I've started pre-poo'ing before shampooing and it's done wonders ;_; but I do need some protein treatments as recommendations. My hair is not fond of anything thick, something along the consistency of camille rose cocoa and mango butter deep conditioner.~
Lexiiiiiii, you literally read my mind! I was up last night looking up which detangling brush (mainly from the Tangle Teezer line) and HERE YOU ARE! I can't wait to watch. What is your experience with the Tangle Teezer brushes? Do you prefer this one over others that you have tried (if you have tried any?) Sorry if you've answered this in your video, I'm unable watch it at the moment 😭😭.
Can i ask a question, Lexi? What's the difference between "braid" and "plait"? I've always said "braid" but noticed myself saying "plait" because you say it lolol 🤷🏾♀️
@@KandidKinks you look so beautiful in your video tonight. I am originally from UK we call them plaits now here in Canada we call them braids . Hope you have a good weekend
I thought a plait was braided hair that hangs free from the scalp and that a braid is connected to the scalp, but now I dunno lol 🤷🏾♂️. Of course we never call box braids plaits though so.... We all know what she's talking about tho 😉
@@Doc_McStuffins that's how i understand it - braids connect to the scalp/head, plaits hang free. i can't braid or flat twist, but i can plait and free twist...trying to learn tho. 😁

I'm in the same tangled & dry mess.... so this was timely. Stay Well.
Same here lol. I'm watching this while detangling my super dry hair.
Hey Lex
Hair so long and thick. Can’t wait to see how you style it
Your skin is glowing
Thank you!
I agree, she is beautiful
I work in a primary school n in Trinidad and Tobago schools are opening back up in September so that's when I am going back to work

Yup that’s exactly how I detangle ! I have the Kazmaleje and I bought The Ultimate Detangler because of you!!
Did you use a wide tooth comb before you bought the Kazmaleje? If so, did you notice the difference?

Samira J. Oohh okay!!
I love that paddle comb it's the best detangling comb ever I only use the kazmaleje paddle comb to detangle my curly hair
Your hair looked super moisturized, and I’m still working from home.
I definitely have to finger detangle a bit first if it's really tangled like that. Great routine!

Shell on a crab! Lmfao
Yaaas at the Kinky Tresses I’m so excited to buy from them soon and glad to see them popping up in some of my favorite 4B/4C youtubers!
I like to use alot of water & aloe mix with some oil. It just allows me to detangle easier

Wow, my hair would be so tangled if I wash my hair without pre-pooing and detangling first. TFS

I love the way you take your time with your kinks and coils! Have to be gentle with them
Thank U 4 adding the links 4 both of the detangling brushes!
I just like your skin color, you have a nice glow, please what do you use?( skincare and regime)

Love you too Lexi!! Thank you for your encouragement!!
This video was so satisfying😍😍I love our hair🖤🖤
I have not detangled my hair properly in 3 months... I am not sure what my hair is if yours is extremely tangled lol
This has nothing to do with the video BUT your skin is glowingggg (okay I’m going to continue watching) 💛✨
The tangle teezer with the paddle is also my favorite. I've been experimenting with just finger detangling lately. Still seeing how it goes.
I would love to see a true-true wash and go!!!
I appreciate the feel of this video and your efforts. I'm taking your lead and purchased from Kinky Tresses with your coupon code. Thank you!
Let me know how you like them!
Ordered the Coconut Mango Butter and it smells good enough to eat. It luxuriously seals my ends and keeps the frizz away. Very sleek. Love it.
Excited to try the Kazmaleje paddle brush comb too. As a natural newbie thank you for your honest opinion on what tools work. It's really helpful.
this is another great video. you don't disappoint:

Loved this, thanks for coming on and sharing this 🙌🏾
I looove your channel!! I also wonder what kind of lipgloss you got, looks so pretty!!
It’s urban decay lipstick in 1993 with clear gloss on top
Beautiful that's actually how I detangle my hair lol good job😊
