He's addressing a man - Lindsay Graham - who's in a suit and tie, but who's also a soulless weasel, liar and hypocrite. Presentation matters, but not always in the face of deception, lies, double-dealing and treachery. You're delusional if you really think Graham would have spoken with a different tone if Christian were in a suit.
It's time for Americans to learn how to see through and listen beyond and behind the oaky-doke of deception cloaked in image and presentation. I think it's good that at this stage Christian presents who he authentically is while he speaks real truth-to-power. Perhaps it will compel those who are so easily distracted by the shiny object of presentation, to listen to the substance of the argument that relates to them and holds more value for their life than the notions the slick suit and tie facade represents.

The corporations have brought this upon themselves. He's right it's not a right or left issue it's a worker issue. When you Abolish the middle class and create extreme poverty on the backs of the workers you have failed. You need these people to accomplish the success that you have received. It's because of them your successful. The race to the bottom to extract every dollar for shareholders is not a responsible one. The companies with happy successful workers do not require unions because they recognize and treat those people with the respect they deserve.

Unions can actually have a positive impact. Democrat's can be in support of many Democrat ideas but disagree with other Democrat ideas. Labeling 50% of the US population as thinking 1 way and blaming them is the opposite of what we need to do to make the world a better place right now. My grandfather was a Union man, he fought in the 40s and 50s to unionize and for workers rights. This country stands on the shoulders of the working class! These are multi billion dollars corporations that profit off of the labor of these people by making them work insane hours and barely giving them the pay they need to support a reasonable standard of living. The only reason Amazon is combatting the workers rights to unionize is because they realize it holds the potential to put an end to the practices that they have exploited in the interest of profit and at the expense of the common working class man/women. There is no debate here! Say what you want about what rights the Union might fight or be fighting for but what you can’t argue is that the workers have the right to unionize without having to worry about being bullied and harassed by there employer.

History has shown us numerous examples of what will eventually happen if you don't pay attention to the needs of those on the bottom of society.

Amen brother… No modern-day work place provision every working person in America takes for granted today would exist if it were not for the sacrifices, marches, picket lines, strikes and literal blood that was shed in order to have dignity and honor as a working person. I would rather fight like hell to be respected with dignity than be treated like a slave at the hands of greedy, crony corporatist oligarchs who care about no one but themselves and the profits they exhume.
My family is all pro-Union, most are blue collar and historically working class. I’d have nothing today or a better standard of living if it weren’t for them and the battles they waged against corruption. #ProUnion #UnionStrong ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I see now it is a privilege and one that I hope to see very soon applied to all workers in the US, and indeed across the globe. Solidarity with the ALU and any other organised workforce.

Technically, working class movements have and always will be inherently Left-wing (I mean actual Left-wing, like Socialism/Communism and Anarchism). Democracy and egalitarianism are and always will be inherently Left-wing ideals.
However, I agree with Smalls’ choice of words as it helps to prevent sowing divisions amongst the working class.

Yeah. The “not left or right” feels like Bonapartism, which is not good. Ultimately appealing to the centrists is as good as it can get right now, but ultimately worker’s rights is one of if not the biggest left wing issue.

@N F Anyone who knows Graham's personality, knows he is seething in his mind because he knows that old white men are losing their control and power in this country. Black people are not equal to the old white GOP men in their minds. Graham does not think that the black voters in Georgia should get their votes counted. He said as much when he called Georgia's Sec of State and asked him to "not count all the votes for Biden." Graham is under investigation for his attempt to interfere with the Georgia election. Just another racist bigot in this country.

Historically, labor unions have led to great victories for the working class people, like OSHA safety guidelines and even the establishment of the minimum wage laws back in the 1930's. The stagnant minimum wage that hadn't increased since 2009 and growing horrible conditions at large retail corporations such as Amazon and Walmart, have a lot to do with the decline in labor unions and the scare tactics the corporations use, most of them being illegal like Mr. Smalls stated. SO proud of him for speaking up for the working class. Amazon and Walmart make millions a day, they can pay their workers fairly. I have family who work at Walmart and they treat them like dogs too and union bust allll the time. It's time for a change!! I stand 100% with Mr. Smalls and I hope something similar happens soon to Walmart as well. #LaborUnionsAreCivilRights

Hopefully more people understand that corporations need people to exist not the other way around. Corporations want people to be happy that they give them a job. But if that job can’t pay your rent, afford you healthcare or put food on your table, then what good is to work all day for a government who will take its money out of your paycheck before you see a dime. Our politicians needs to stop protecting corporations and start protecting the people who make them run. Kudos to Mr Smalls!

    • @davinnagalindo4859

@Corby Tender yes, tell that to all those people who graduated from college and still can’t find a job but have all that wonderful debt. Or those with jobs that aren’t considered minimum wage and still can’t afford to live comfortably. Inflation is here already if you haven’t noticed. That money doesn’t need to come out of thin air, it just needs to come out of those over paid executives salaries and their golden parachute retirement plans.

@Corby Tender No, you are just a blow hard. There’s no convincing anyone when you are the one who’s misguided. With that I hope you are a very wealthy individual and never have to worry about living paycheck to paycheck. I don’t live paycheck to paycheck but still understand that people need a living wage to survive in our country.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Yes! Over the past 10 or more years unions have been weakened and decimated. Workers are losing many hard won rights . Companies are pushing longer hours , mandatory overtime etc. This is happening in most job industries from blue to white collar . Profit over people. Strong unions are necessary and strong union leaders need to be able to stand up to the powers that be just like that.
