After all the episodes of this show I’ve watched this was by far the most amazing. He never dehumanized her, but helped her regain some of her self esteem. Awesome clip!
It was nice to see an OCD person treat another human being as such, a human who needed some support not judgement. We can talk frankly without being nasty.
@@LouciferFlumpyeah and I wondered how they matched the cleaners and hoarders up with one another…I was always curious on how ppl got to be on the show
Same. He was so lovely and kind. It was good to watch. I love dogs too and I can see how her attention was focused on caring for them. I hope they both find great new partners.
Richard, beautiful job. It just looks so wonderful. She needed a good friend to pick her up, a little push in a lot of support.. She has her dad, but he didn’t know what to do so I’m glad that they matched you up with her and you helped her.
I think the rooms where she has the dogs when dog sitting, so maybe the entire downstairs should all be laminate flooring with no rugs just to make clean up easier. Easier to wipe up messes and give a quick mop compared to carpet cleaning. Especially as the carpet cleaner would need extra regular maintenance because of the dog hair.
I change my sheets every 5 days.. you spent 8 hours a day in those sheets, sometimes more. Its like wearing clothes. Cant imagine someone wearing the same clothes longer than 5 days..
I get night sweats so I change mine every 2 or 3 days. Once a week is probably fine for the average person, but any less often than every ten days or so is gross
As a former airline steward, organization is the name of the game. I loved how he had his Closet organized. My Cousin would love someone like him because his clothes are crisp, clean and organized. Losing his partner may have affected him, he used it as a form of therapy and who knows maybe he did all of the cleaning and his partner didn't.
Single men only changing their bed sheets 4 times a year? No wonder they’re single, I can’t imagine any women they take home are in a hurry to ruturn to those stinky bed sheets 😂
Great job, Richard!!!!! So kind and patient!! Although I have a question.....why replace dirty carpet with another carpet?? Especially when she takes care of dogs? I would have suggested parquet flooring, tile or linoleum. Something that can be mopped and cleaned. Oh well.......
If she has 10 dogs she needs to be living like an eastern monk to sustain a cleaning routine. The more living inhabitants you have the less stuff you should have to maintain because they become the priority. You can't hoard both.
I view properties like this daily. I never realised that just viewing properties in need of a total refurb would take such an emotional toll on me for a variety of reasons. I now have a viewing kit that consists of, in addition to a torch and tape measure; boots, gloves & mask. I can walk away and wash my hands, but the reasons that people live like this stays with me for days, even longer in some cases.
Absolutely love Richard and how kind and respectful helping Linda with her home. Linda is such a lovely woman and should be dating and enjoying her life. I hope she finds new happiness now that her house is in better shape.❤
I don't understand why many houses I've seen in this show have carpet everywhere. It was popular in my country too in the '70s but it went out of fashion because it was way less hygienic and harder to clean than tiles or wood.
Carpet is cheaper than the alternatives so it's easier to just replace a worn out carpet with a cheap new one for a neat and clean look, especially if you are just flipping a house for profit. Also some rentals like council housing make it mandatory for you to get new carpets put in when you move in, this then gets ripped out when you leave and the next tenant has to do the same again.
Richard is great. Nice, friendly guy… I’m nearly as extreme as he is but life is a little simpler for me in terms of wardrobe organisation: It goes from shades of black on the left… moving through to more shades of black in the middle… and then finishing off with some black at the right hand side! 😜👍🏻🖤
No it's not an average UK home! I liked the way that Linda joined in with the cleaning, Richard was very unjudgmental and supportive - an ideal chap to help this type of person, Some of the obsessive cleaners are quite harsh and rude to those that they're trying to help.
The worst I have is some vlean clothing overflowing in my basket, and dishes in the sink. I watch this to get unspired to clean more than once every other week.
I love Richard.! He was great! So respectful and helpful! Nice , nice ,nice guy! Linda seemed so receptive! Hope she maintains what he implemented! She was awesome also and lived how she didn't argue with him and wanted the improvements! Good couple! Maybe they should date??? Lollllll
British people and their carpets:D With so many dogs you aren't supposed to have a carpet, it's not worth it. If you have tiles or linoleum it's clean with couple of swoops. Brits.. fellas you don't need to have a carpet sometimes it's okay.
Richard kinda reminds me of british Charlie Sheen. Sad to say but Linda really needs a change of routine in life or the house will be back to it's initial state in no time.
There is more going on with her than being lazy. She probably needs counseling so she cares more about herself too. On a lot of these episodes it seems like a lot of people have depression or something else going on. I hope Richard helps her to understand she deserves better
Richard was very respectful & kind. He did a wonderful job.
I was about to say that too, what a top bloke 👏
He is cleaner than a woman! It would not work for her. Jealousy would be a 3rd party.
You’re supposed to be respectful and kind
@@JudeTavonFenwickIn All parts of life.
But a lot of people sadly are not 😢♥️♥️
What Lovely people ❤❤
So happy he was the most non judgemental ocd person ive ever seen.
Shit on the floor...literally...I think if he had been judgemental would've been acceptable 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thanks for explaining exactly what I thought.

He was so kind and she was just a bit lost, so nice to be reminded how 1 person’s kindness can be almost life changing ❤️
My bed linen gets changed every Saturday. Nothing like getting into a lovely clean, fresh bed.
Same here
👍
Richard was very nice and non judgmental. Great job!
God knows what he was thinking. 😄
Richard, you are stellar. Empathetic, non judgemental, kind. Well done you!!
I really wish they would bring this series back. It would be interesting to see how homes have changed.
Yes! I miss it. I used to wonder how you volunteered to be a cleaner on it…?🤔
@@LouciferFlumpyeah and I wondered how they matched the cleaners and hoarders up with one another…I was always curious on how ppl got to be on the show
They should do a where are they now for all the cleaners and hoarders
@@paytonk01 yes that’d be interesting!
@@LouciferFlump it would be! Especially since these episodes are from like 2013.
Richard was lovely and patient with her. Many on this show criticize the person they are working with to their face. ❤❤❤❤
i love that richard made the calendar to help her form cleaning habits. thats the only time ive seen someone on the show worry about the after
I enjoyed this one so much more than other episodes because he was so nice. :)

Awwww Richard is such a sweetheart. He has therapist vibes. Very respectful 🙏
Bless her, i hope he finds everything he wants, and needs in life.
What a lovely guy Richard is, respectful and a pleasure to watch his actions with the young lady ❤
What a kind, respectful guy.
It is so interesting to see what a difference a good cleaning makes. So much healthier and pleasant for everyone.
Richard is such a lovely person I hope he finds happiness and his life is full of joy and love ❤
Richard you are such a kind, caring person- fantastic with people. Wish you and Lynda every happiness.
Richard is a legend, beautiful human-being ♥️
She shouldn't have carpets but instead small rugs she can throw in the wash when she needs to ✌✌
A solid idea, makes things manageable for her
Rugs are more dangerous and every year you age they get even more dangerous. I don't like carpet either.

Absolutely disgusting. Those sheets must be totally stiff and stinks
Richard is the best non judgemental ocd cleaner I’ve ever seen.
He was soooo nice to her and made her feel comfortable. He was so kind. Thank u Richard ❤🎉😊
What a lovely guy Richard is. No judgement ,just a can do attitude. Great result, very inspirational!
Much needed! Love of pets should never come before love of self!
Toss out the carpet and put in something easier to clean. If one is lazy one should always make it easier to clean or it will not be done.
It should go without saying that wall to wall carpet and multiple pets is a bad combination!
Furniture with legs is easier to clean under when its too heavy for you to move alone.
I would have liked to hear the dogs got bathed at the end of the clean ... she definitely appreciated his help - job well done!
She needs wooden floors or tiled floors not carpets with so many dogs easier to clean.
Great job, Richard!!!!! So kind and patient!! Although I have a question.....why replace dirty carpet with another carpet?? Especially when she takes care of dogs? I would have suggested parquet flooring, tile or linoleum. Something that can be mopped and cleaned. Oh well.......
Liked way he organised calendar for household chores good idea rich
Richard is a treasure.
He never judged her.
She had some mental issues to allow herself to reach that level of filth.😢

Laminate flooring, less clutter and no dogs upstairs.
For starters.

What a wonderful man Richard is! I just wish Linda had got vinyl flooring downstairs. It woukd be so much easier to deal with " accidents" then.
Agreed. Carpet is a real pain when it comes to dealing with dog ‘accidents’
