You'll find the aggression primarily in the Xfinity and Craftsman series. Last year's Craftsman Truck Series Championship at Phoenix is a prime example
Jesus that Truck Series finale was a disaster if I remember correctly so many cautions were thrown in overtime that the race ended 31 laps after the scheduled distance
@@ExploringTheSmoke also ty Gibbs xfinity Martinsville win last year or the year before when he wrecked his teammate when he was locked in the championship and his teammate wasnt
@@ExploringTheSmoke that doesn’t change anything, don’t listen to him. Yes Tony did kill another driver who was standing on the track at a sprint car race, but he admitted that it was an accident
26:24 Yeah, Clint's known for doing damn near everything in a spectacular way- wreck, win, fight, help teammates, even announce! I'd recommend SlapShoes' "The Ballad of Clint Bowyer" for more on the madman.
Kyle Busch is my favorite driver because he is the aggresive veteran that no one likes or at least didn't. TBH it was kind of fun being the fan of the villan of the sport lol
All-time favorite NASCAR driver... Davey Allison I was a kid when he passed away but his '92 season battling for the championship with broken bones and eyes about to burst out of his face made me a fan and made Davey a NASCAR legend
@@ExploringTheSmoke SlapShoes has a 13 minute documentary on Davey if you post a reaction video I'll watch it with ya love your channel bro keep grinding 💪
@@ExploringTheSmoke another all-time great in a different sport and another personal favorite of mine the true goat of the NFL Barry Sanders you won't be disappointed
Honestly, this and one other I've seen in my own time from him are absolutely incredible, the effort, the knowledge, the humour, it's all very well put together
24:06 Me and my dad were serious Dale Earnhardt senior fans. “The Intimidator”. He was the man. Destroyed us when he died like that. While Rusty Wallace was always a big enemy of Earnhardt and his fans, later on Jeff Gordon’s amazing run also rubbed us the wrong way. We hated that dude. LOL. NASCAR used to be so awesome. Back then it was huge. Second only to NFL in America. I haven’t watched NASCAR in over a decade, though. To be honest, it was never the same after Dale got killed.
Honestly there’s a quote I saw “ wrecking someone race car is more about showing how little you respect the mechanics of the sport cause the drivers don’t work on the car.” Seen it in motocross most my life and the more bad blood you out into the sport, the more bad the sport will give you
That's how I look at it honestly, oh wow, well done, you've just made all the guys behind the scenes that nobody knows really exists, who rarely gets the recognition or time to themselves, day a LOT worse, thank you for watching Aaron, glad you're enjoying
Favorite all time driver is Matt Kenseth, local hero and the only Cup driver I've met. Least favorite used to be Jimmie Johnson because he was winning all the time, but as I got older and got back into racing when he was in IndyCar I gained a lot more respect for him and I even miss him now. Kyle Busch on the other hand 😈 🤬😡
70 races is only like two seasons, which isn't a ton, especially for someone looking for their first win. Michael Waltrip holds the record with 462 races before his first win.
@@ExploringTheSmokeUnfortunately, his first win was overshadowed because it was the 2001 Daytona 500 where Dale Earnhardt was killed in a crash. Waltrip and Earnhardt Jr were 1-2 in DEI cars and Earnhardt was third. Waltrip said later that it quickly went from being the best day of his life to the worst.
So Excited you watched this one of my fav NASCAR videos if I had to recommend a video or 2 I would recommend the Emplemon Talladega video and the Slapshoes Talladega video.
ROBOTTT!! WELCOME BACK! Honestly, I was JUST recommended "Talladega: NASCAR's most feared track" by EMPLemon haha, and thank you for showing why you don't like Bush haha
I literally trust drivers so little that I'll look both ways before crossing a one way street😂 I can't tell you how many times I've nearly been run over by people that shouldn't have a license😒 One time, I was crossing the street, and I had my son who was two weeks old at the time, and driver wasn't paying attention, nearly ran the red light, almost hit my kid, and when I went off on her foot it she literally just said oh well🙃
If you like Emplemon you should check out his Talladega video sometime, very cool. It’s also very long (1ish hour) so understandable if you decide to skip it or if you do decide you can always split it up. Maybe save it for talladega weekend (April 21) next month!
I became a motorsports fan watching nascar and f1 with my grandpa in the early 2000s, he used to race dirt track cars and classic drag cars. At the time ferrari was dominating in F1 and I loved the bright red cars so they became my favorite team and in Nascar I was always a big Jeff Gordon fan. My least favorite had to be Tony Stewart because I never really cared for his attitude but the thing that sticks out most is my grandpa's rivalry with his sister. He was a big Hendrick fan and hated Dale Earnhardt, while his sister loved him. They used to get pretty heated about it I remember when Dale died at Daytona Grandpa called my dad up and asked if he could stay over for a few days to hide since we lived a few hours away.
Thank you Quinton!! I've had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Schumacher's old Ferrari team mate at Top Gear one time, thank you for the memory too, I could imagine the heated exchanges 😂 glad you enjoyed
12:23 In an interview on the Dale Jr Download in 2021, Jimmy Spencer would reveal that the reason he hit Kurt Busch was because the young Phenom basically threatened his family.
I was driving home in a moving truck and had a BMW fly by me and run me off the road. I looked over and a state trooper seen the whole thing. Sure enough, pulled him over. I laughed and cheered
My favorite driver was always Jimmy Johnson as a kid growing up in the early 2000s - because I liked his livery, his number, and I went to Lowe's with my dad a lot. Only years and years later did I come back with an older brain and realize how successful he was, lmao. I just liked blue/yellow 48, what can I say.
You'll find many friends amongst the Explorers with the same views on Logano haha, in love streams whenever I read his name it's "boo-logano is in 7th" 😂
The other reason that Kenseth taking out Logano was so popular in the moment was because Jeff Gordon was second and would ultimately go on to win that race and advance to the final round with a shot at the championship in his final full time season as a driver.
I've been a NASCAR fan since 2008, and my all-time favorite driver was Jimmie Johnson, who by the way, is racing part-time this 2024 season. My favorite driver currently is Chase Elliott, but Kyle Larson is a close second. One driver that I Cannot Stand is Denny Hamlin, and that Martinsville 2017 race was the moment I despised him. One of the main reasons I can't stand him is that whenever he gets into accidents (whether intentional or unintentional), he never takes blame for anything, but when he's the victim of something that wasn't even the other driver's fault that did it by accident, he complains about it. 2021 Martinsville is a good example, when he called Alex Bowman a hack when he accidentally spun Hamlin for the win, and 2023 Pocono is another example, when Hamlin put Larson in the wall for the win, but never took responsibility.
Yeahhhh, that don't sit right with me, like if we all know what you and YOU know what you did....be a man and own up to what you did haha, thank you for answering Cito, glad you're enjoying
37:33 the only reason Matt was suspended for two races is because the daughter of the director of competition was a fan of Joey Logano. The man admitted to it years later.
I've been a Joey Logano fan since he started, but really started to like him when he got to the 22 Ford car. I'm a big Ford fan in NASCAR and always have been like my dad, and his father too. I saw the Kansas race in a different way and I still do. His sponsers and boss expect him to win. And as was said, he will do it in anyway possible. At the end of the day, he has gone onto win 2 championships. So if people like him or not, he is a good driver. I do understand the problems people have with him though. He does not really own up to his shenanigans all the time. That being said, Joey really is a great guy offtrack. He gives a lot to children's charities. And does a lot for kids who are in unfortunate situations. I DO understand why Kenseth was mad though. I was a fan of his earlier in his career.
If you think 70 races without a win is crazy, look into the career of an old driver named J. D. McDuffie. Over 27 years he made 653 starts, and never won a race, or finished on the lead lap. But he kept going out there and racing because he just had fun with it. Kinda sadly fitting he passed away during a race after a nasty crash at Watkins Glen. Also, if you want a fun video in regards to clint bowyer and his wild career, check out slapshoe's "Ballad of Clint Bowyer"
9:40 drivers are more aggressive now most of the new drivers race with little to no respect, Luke Busch just did an interview with pat mcafee and Kyle said the new drivers do more wrecking than trying to race and win and Kyle himself isn’t even the same person he was like 10-15 years ago he’s matured a lot and is actually liked by most people now which is very weird
Hey Smoke. This video and your reaction are both well done however, I would like to explain the entire Joey Logano situation. Logano was a phenom. In his third Xfinity start he won the race. To date he holds the record for the youngest driver to win both an XFinity race and a Cup Series race. His talent was so great that he started Cup Series racing at 18 years old in 2009. However, in his 4 years at Joe Gibbs Racing, whether it was due to being accelerated too fast or the lack of racecraft among veterans of the sport, He only garnered 2 wins. Throughout his tenure at the Toyota team, he was pushed around by veterans like Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart etc. So much so that presenters even mentioned at some point he would have to start defending himself. His last win at JGR (the one showcased where he moved Mark Martin to win at Pocono) is of importance and I will explain later. In 2013, Logano would get a second chance at Team Penske driving the 22 car. He was always aggressive but never was he retaliant towards other drivers. However in his first year at the Captain's office, he decided enough is enough. At Bristol, Denny Hamlin, driver of the 11 car spun him out causing damage to his rear end of the car. This is where I believe the last straw was added to the camel's back. The next week Joey, whether it was hard racing or retaliation, made contact with Denny Hamlin at Autoclub the next week. the accident caused Hamlin to break his back and require weeks of rehabilitation. This brings me to this point. Joey while aggressive an retaliative almost never initiates the incidents. As stated before, Hamlin wrecked him at Bristol. In 2015 when he spun kenseth at Kansas, Kenseth literally air-blocked him into the wall at 180mph which caused a little damage to the right side of his car a few seconds before. Everyone of his on-track incidents minus two occurrences were because another driver did something to him first. The Pocono incident involving Mark martin was a classic bump and run. However, the reasoning behind the bump and run is quintessential. Logano just lost his seat at Gibbs or was about to lose it. He needed to show prospective team owners, fans and haters that he can still win, that he was still the "greatest thing since sliced bread". So he moved Martin to win the race. Another incident is 2018 where he and Martin Truex Jr. were battling at the same track. He also was in a mode of desperation here. He was out of the final 4 and was in a must win scenario to make the championship race. He and Truex were racing, making contact but still kept it clean. He lost the lead on the last lap and decided to bump and run Truex at Martinsville. his move won that race and maybe was the move that won the championsip that year. These two incidents were unprovoked but they had great and sufficient reasoning behind it. Other incidents where he was roughed up first then retaliated include: - Tony Stewart blocking him at Autoclub in 2013 and him almost wrecking Stewart because he was not going to lift. (it is a restart and clean air is king. Also getting past as much cars on a restart can make or break your race.) - Carl Edwards blocking him in the 2016 Championship race at Homestead on what would have been the final restart. (it is a restart and clean air is king. Logano was much better than Edwards but he continued to block until he got turned by the 22.) - In 2017, Kyle Busch comes down on Logano on the backstretch of Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Logano proceeded to drive into the corner hard, got loose and took out Busch. This sparked a fight on pit road. - Kyle Larson blocked him into a wall at Charlotte in 2018 at around 180mph and Joey IMMEDIATELY spun him out. - Denny Hamlin quite literally made him climb the wall at Martinsville in 2019 which caused the fight you saw in the video. - Chase Elliott wrecking him at Bristol in 2020 which then cause Joey to block him aggressively at Homestead. - William Byron put him in the wall at Darlington in 2022 which caused Joey to punt him on the second to last lap and take the victory. - Ty Gibbs used up Logano as a means to brake and turn the enitre playoffs 2023 which caused Joey to turn him at Martinsville. - Ty also decided to use up Joey at the Clash this year which caused a heated debate in which Joey has decided to cut Gibbs no slack. - Most recently, John Hunter Nemechek absolutely wrecked him at Phoenix two weeks ago which Logano has not dished out retribution for yet. Majority of fans like to hate on him based on his style of driving but, alot of drivers from the days of Petty and Yarborough were aggressive and retaliative. Dale Earnhardt was actually hated for being aggressive until after his passing fans started to appreciate his racing style. He has made mistakes like throwing the occasional bad block at a superspeedway (not the 2021 Daytona 500, that was McDowell and I can prove it was) and ARCA braked into other drivers but he is mostly aggressive and retaliative, NOT instigative. He has also ALWAYS owned up to his actions and retaliations. He has continually said, "you can race me hard, you can bump me out of the way because that is what I would do but DO NOT put me into the wall". Almost ALL of the incidents, he was put into the wall or wrecked by another driver which caused his retaliation. He is my favourite driver and I know I can't force everyone to like him. I also know his retaliations while warranted can be egregious at times. However, I always would like to let everyone have ALL the information before forming an opinion.
MATTHEW! Thank you for the INCREDIBLE comment, I hold no qualms over him but maaaan, if anyone has made a great case for anyone who dislikes him, to read, it's you, I'm glad you enjoyed and again, THANK YOU 💪🏻
My favorite driver since childhood was Jeff Gordon, and a penchant for the late Dale Earnhardt (I was born in 1998, which was a special year for the two drivers). I could not STAND Tony Stewart for the life of me, but that may be heavily-biased by the fact that he was my brother’s favorite driver. Classic sibling rivalry LOL
th-cam.com/video/U3M1KeYaNig/w-d-xo.html The part of the video with 2 cars doing victory burnouts is Robby Gordon and Kevin Harvick (the car that actually won the race). There was an incident near the end of the race where he was spun while leading. They put him further back in line (where he blended in), but he felt that he should be in 2nd place at the restart. He refused to drop back even though he was told to. For some stupid reason, they restarted the race with him in the 2nd spot even though he was told he was going to be black flagged. The race restarted, and he pretty much immediately wrecked the 1st place car. Again, he was already told his laps would NOT be counting at that point. He finished the race in first place, but he was already disqualified. Kevin Harvick was declared the winner. Harvick pulled up to do his victory burnout, and Gordon pulled up immediately and started doing HIS victory burnout. It was crazy. th-cam.com/video/65TMetjlbaQ/w-d-xo.html
I wish more people that dive into nascar reactions would find or be recommended more of the drama stuff like this instead of crashes and passing etc. This is the fun stuff people tend to tune in week to week to check and see if anything went down. 😂 Oh I almost forgot.... If ur still doing anything with the nascar stuff check out the uncensored radio chatter stuff. There's more gold there too. They need to air everything they say on the radio as well more people would hang around for that I think. We always enjoy the expletives flying around in heated situations.
@@ExploringTheSmoke always fun to see people reacting to most of the stuff out there. 😂 Especially the ladies that never paid any attention they freak out.
I suggest watching the most dangerous rivalry in nascar history by Ihave40wins its about the carl edwards's and brad keselowski's rivalry and how they almost killed each other 3 times. Personally I think carl edwards was in the wrong during that rivalry because even tho bard did start it he didn't mean to turn carl but carl intentionally turn brad at high speed 2 times once caving in his roof and the other causing him to get t boned by other cars in the field.
Kenseths outrage was pretty unexpected but it wasn't the first time hes lost his cool. If you want to see him absolutely lose his shit watch him fight Brad K at Charlotte in 2014
Favorite Driver: Kyle Petty. One of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. Least Favorite: Jeff Gordon. The biggest a**hole to ever get behind the wheel
@@ExploringTheSmoke I was initially a Haas fan because it was the only “American” team, but not so much these days. I’ve always liked Perez because he was the closest driver from my home before Sargeant joined. But what I like about F1 is that I find myself rooting for most of the drivers. I’ve taken a liking to Norris and Piastri this year. I like Zhou because he seems pretty humble and isn’t terrible considering his team. I like Bottas because he literally seems like he is just in F1 these days for the hell of it and enjoying life based on his social media and memes surrounding him, I mean that in a good way lol. I also am heavily rooting for Sargeant, of course. It feels so cool to be able to root for someone from your country. I think this will be his last year so I’m hoping he can at least score a couple points finishes just to hush some of his haters.
What an incredible response and shows that you're truly a fan of THE sport itself, it's a breath of fresh reading your takes on drivers, in the UK it's one or the other haha, I personally love Norris, I think his personality outshines his talent some times but I really want him to have a few good runs
Dale Earnhart Sr was my guy. I cried the day he died. My most hated was Jeff Gordon for the longest time. But Kyle Busch took his place when he crashed Ron Hornaday on purpose to cost him a championship
Same, brother. When Ironhead died that day it destroyed me and my pops. Racing was never the same for me. Earnhardt was the man. And, yes, we hated Jeff Gordon too. LOL. He was fun to hate back then. Also, Rusty Wallace was a big rival too.
A fun video I try to recommend to new fans is “i watch nascar for the first time, here’s why it left me speechless ” By alberto it’s a cool video and haven’t seen anyone react to it before. He interviews some drivers and goes down into the pit lane and stuff like that, can’t wait to finish your video 🤙
Joey is a great driver and old guys were jealous of him. He’s a two time champ and has been sh$t on every day by the same guys crying. Apparently you don’t really know Joey and people need to leave him alone because they all tried to push him around and he is and always will be a champ
When robby won at new Hampshire it was the 9/11 season. Race was moved to end of season. Jeff won championship the week before so therefore there were no championship contenders to wreck
5 favorites of all time: #1 favorite JImmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick 5 drivers i can't stand: #1 disliked Joey Logano, Brad Kesolowski, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliot, Earnhardt Jr (those last 2 are gonna trigger a mob after me 💀)
Woahhhh Earnhardt as one of your least liked? May I ask why? Still kinda new here and EVERYONE else seems to have him in their top haha glad you're here and thank you for answering Xombie!
@@ExploringTheSmoke that might actually be why haha. It's like people look at him as if he's the best to ever exist. I mean if you watch the races I did growing. People would cheer for him for leading 2 laps with like 80 laps to go 🤣 like...real "kiss the ground he walks on" type of stuff. People can like who they want, it just rubbed me the wrong way cause I never personally saw him doing anything different from anyone else out there. It sounds so judgy and I hate to say it but I think a lot of it stems from his dad and people worship him because he's his son. I mean he has literally been given the name "Redneck Jesus" and yea... Idk. Good example being the beef with Kyle Busch. He took as much part in that, he's not a perfectly clean driver, but everyone of course villianized Busch. Same thing happened with anyone else who dare scratch his car. Just to reiterate this about Earnhardt Jr. I have a lot of respect for Earnhardt Sr. though The fan base pushed me away more than anything.
@@XombieX yeah I completely understand, and thank you for taking the time to type it up, I will say I understand the whole "greatness thrust unto him" because of his his dad was, I have a great respect for the family and have no issues personally with JR. the only issue I have is, I've joined the sport this late and the highlights I've seen of his....aren't anything over 99% of other NASCAR drivers, I mean yes the guy can race but is he at the level of his father's accolades....maybe not haha
@@ExploringTheSmoke my point exactly haha Had a very good run in the first couple years of his career but his days with the 88 car seemed to be where things went downhill.
Good evening bubba. I hope you're well. The sport has evolved quite a bit from when I started watching it in the 80s. Retaliation is frowned upon these days by sponsors and the NASCAR. Back in the day after a big wreck guys would come in and put tires on their destroyed vehicle and go back out just to take one green lap and take revenge. It's still aggressive. New cars and a new generation of drivers have changed nascar. Also many rule changes such as stage points. Kyle Busch is my favorite active driver. I like Denny Hamlin too I know that's going to be pretty unpopular by reading the comments. He is what he is and all he wants to do is win and he believes he's the best. Takes a special type of personality to be a race car driver. Look at all the road rage you see just on the public streets people lose their sh*t over the dumbest things. It's human nature 😁 a up-and-coming driver that I hope develops into a major talent is Hallie Deagan. She raced the truck series and is in Xfinity this year. Bristol race is today. There will be plenty of beating and banging going on there. Regardless of the penalties people will still put you in the fence if you're in the way on the last lap. 🤘
They're all good or they wouldn't be there, so it's hard to say who makes your blood boil, it is a testament to those who adapt and change with consistency to take a checkered flag and/or a championship that makes them great. hard to go against Dale, Petty, Junior Johnson, if you don't win you don't eat mentality.
I always felt like these situations are incredibly disrespectful to the teams who build the cars. I’ve always said if drivers have a problem with each other they should fight outside the cars because the team members aren’t at fault.
I got into NASCAR in 2011 and actually got into Tony Stewart high, so him winning the championship was awesome I've always disliked Kyle Busch, but NOWHERE near as much as Joey Logano... When Stewart retired at the end of 2016, I became a Ryan Blaney fan after he won at Poccono in 2017 after outlasting Kyle Busch Blaney and Logano are now teammates and I am torn, but I love this sport
Favorite Driver of all time was definitely Dale Earnhardt and the driver I hated the most was Jeff Gordon. Everytime Gordon won, it meant Earnhardt wasn't winning that race 😂 but they are both 2 of the best NASCAR drivers in history.
70 starts without a win is a lot, but some guys turn out entire careers without a win at the top level. If you dont have a good team and long money, there's not more than a punchers chance for you.
I knew all of these but man that was a good video. Even though it was long, I was into it haha I miss the old days of racing, they need to bring the Horsepower back and get rid of the stage racing.
I hate Kyle Busch because he was in a truck race; he had no points in the championship there. He was at the top. He wrecked the points leader because the points leader did a little tap on him. He may have just taken air off the side of his car, aerodynamics, and the truck leader passed him
My favorite has always been Kevin Harvick, but since he just retired, my new guy is Ross Chastain (the guy who did the crazy wall ride move a few years back). Can't stand... Denny.
2:02 Wooooo Weeeee, I do not recall that one. This happened sometime after, #25Vickers was a Hendrick driver. "accidentally" shoved and pitted his teammate #48Johnson into #8Earnhardt and went on to win that race. (check out Talladega 2006) 5:10 Oh yeah. He was very much the next "intimidator" after Earnhardt Sr. But he was in the right most of the time, he will just double the payoff if you wrong him. Idk how people feel much about him after his investigation. 6:21 Yeah, this guy was usually in the wrong. Basically Kyle Busch 0.1. Busch knows how to win. ....i love the random music too, songs even from video games, i heard freaken mario kart 64 in here somewhere.... 13:00 I actually enjoy big brother Kurt Busch. reason for that is, I started really paying attention to drivers after Earnhardt Sr's News. So to me Spencer was the old has been, didnt even know he was a champion. Info wasn't that readily available back and in the west of the americas, no kid was really that into nascar, i was outta the loop! Spencer is funny though, and thus was born the rampage of the busch brothers! 17:13 After seeing this part of the video long ago, I really remember how contraversial it seemed. The big rivalries were Hendrick, Rousch, Penske, and DEI. Jeff Gordon had a solid rivalry against the Earhardts, so this partnership with a DEI driver was indeed odd, but for Earnhardt was welcoming among Hendrick Fans. 21:21 I realize i wasted my time explaining the chase elliot 24 -> 9 segment in the daytona video hahahahaaha😅 22:34 LOL, EVERYONE FAUGHT HIM! "Boo Denny Hamlin, Wheres my UPS Driver!?" 24:00 BROTHER! On the 24th minute, on the topic of the 24, BAM my #1 driver will always be Jeff Gordon. 27:58 And that was my biggest distaste for Gordon's actions, but we're all human and sometimes we lose our cool. Sadly it collected the #20Joey Logano when he was an innocent smol boi, WAIT it might have been Matt Kenseth minding his own business. I don't blame Bowyer's reaction either, but those two are friends. Jeff Gordon is definitely not a racing God even with as many wins as he has had (#3 with 93 wins?) but he indeed gives and will take when you wrong him. IDK why the vid person would say that 31:27 Yeah for sure me neither, I had a distaste for Kenseth after the Gordon incident you saw there. Coverage was never really focused on him much because of his blandeness i guess so there was no real reason to change my mind. .... until... (watches vid a bit more*) yup! 33:04 for sure. and stinks for sure. 33:20 and such a dark horse candidate for Matt Kenseth to suddenly be back as a top contender when no one wanted the kid to be up there in the standings. 2015 was a complete miss for me as i was in service so i did not get to see one race until mid 2016 36:28 Here we goooooooooo sweet release again. And you see the crowd cheering for Kenseth the loudest he's ever been cheered for, I really wish I saw this moment live. The Success of Evil is for Good Men to do Nothing. Great video man!
I bloody appreciate you for watching and commenting Alfie! You're honestly a legend! Thank you for the knowledge, the laughs and general all round awesome feeling, glad you enjoyed
@@ExploringTheSmoke Your videos and reactions have been very entertaining. Like a lot of people here, I do enjoy answering the questions of NASCAR to people outside of our country. Everyone out there drives sedans and coupes. I would be so happy if each continent can have their own set of series, and a end of season race with playoff contenders from each series to race together for a stock car superbowl.
My all-time favorite driver is Jimmie Johnson....current favorite is Chase Elliott, I also do like the other Hendrick Motorsports drivers. Drivers I don't like Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, and Ty Gibbs. *Note Matt Kenneth's payback to Logano its still one of my favorites second is probably the Chase Elliott and Harvick feud in 2021 season.
Favorite driver is and always will be Kevin Harvick. The driver i cant stand is tied between Denny and Joey L. they both cry when they get wrecked yet wreck everyone.
My favorite driver of all time is Juan Pablo Montoya. Didn't watch F1 at that time so only knew him as a NASCAR driver, and his time on the Big Red car was absolute CHAOS every week lol. Least favorite is Kyle Busch, that little prick
This video (Emp's, also it's pronounced like Emperor just without the er and or as that was the name of his channel way back in the day) single-handily has made me hate Logano with a passion, despite not being the biggest fan of NASCAR or anything. But every NASCAR race I catch, I check to see if Logano is there, where he is, and if he's close to the lead, I will actively root for him to lose. I don't care if he even makes 2nd, so long as he's not there on victory lane in 1st. Also, if you think this was cool, check out his full documentary on Earnhardt Sr and Talladega. If you're into wrestling or spongebob, he also did ones for them too. All are of the same quality as this. Personally, from what all I've seen, drivers don't act like Robby Gordan anymore is because of a larger trend of men becoming softer and softer. They're too concerned with things like appearance and getting punished by NASCAR and not with being themselves. "He's getting stupid now" The first ever full NASCAR race televised to a national audience involved a bare knuckle fist fight between Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison after one caused the other to wreck (where the picture at 13:26 comes from). This is part of what I was referring to above. A lot of people do dumb things now because thanks to a softer society, people aren't used to getting punched in the face for their dumb actions. That fist fight was one of a handful of factors that made NASCAR appealing to a wider audience. You just didn't see that kind of thing back then and as we're all aware, it's becoming less and less common now. There are multiple factors to NASCAR's decline but one of them is 100% because it's less "cool" to a general audience.
9:22 many would argue the sport is even more aggressive than its ever been. The cars are so close you almost have to move someone to pass at a lot of tracks, which leads to tempers of course. You also have the stages so drivers can’t just be there at the end, you have to get into the top 10 early to get points so every driver pretty much understands that the field is going to race super aggressively. The days of Mark Martin letting someone go and use their tires only for him to pass them 50 laps later are long gone. NASCAR will absolutely drop the hammer on something a driver says is intentional or is blatant so you don’t see guys just blatantly take someone out as much, but they’re as aggressive as ever in the past few years. 24:00 (What an ironic timestamp 😂) You’re about to watch him take out Bowyer. My favorite driver all time is #24 Jeff Gordon. Now I root for the 24, which would be William Byron. Cant stand Joey Logano, for well, you’ll see later in the video. Just don’t like his driving style. Denny Hamlin is up there too on the dislike factor. Finally, I saw someone recommend SlapShoes video “Upside Down & On Fire: The Ballad of Clint Bowyer” and I can’t second that recommendation enough. Glad you took the time with this long video, it’s a great one for sure. Love the nascar content. Would love to see some “NASCAR Radioactive” videos throughout the season. Cheers 🤙

my fav driver is kyle Busch, but of all time, go way back to the fifties, is Marshall Teague, my least favorite drivers are Kyle Larson and Martin Truex Jr., Larson because he wins to much which stops Kyle from winning more, i do respect Larson though, he is the most talented driver currently, and Truex because he's my bros fav. i do want truex to get 1 more win before he retires though. and even though Busch is my fav, Dale Jr. is still one of my favorites too
@@ExploringTheSmoke Larry Bird once made the comment that everyone who played back then, expected to get elbowed, bumped, and end up with bruises by the end of the game. But Laimbeer set out to HURT players...as in trying to break ankles by sliding his foot under players as they were jumping up, so they would come down and twist or break an ankle that would sideline them. Laimbeer, infamously clotheslined Bird in one game, causing a massive fight. Logano...is in like a 3,000+ pound missile, hitting speeds of close to 200 miles an hour. He punts someone into the wall just right, he could kill a person at worst. Or end up with the other driver in the hospital for week and out for the season. I think there's enough rubbin' and racing without the till intent. I've watched NASCAR since the 1970s, and I can recall a lot of rivalries...and a few hot head reactions. But Logano just made that a regular maneuver, it was rarely done because there was some high emotions involved due to something happening earlier on a race., At one point, NASCAR made Darrell Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt go to dinner and shake hands and agree to stop wrecking each other...and there was an "OR ELSE" attached to that. Those 2 ended up best of friends. So, why nothing was done with Logano....I don't get it. ???
@@StormyPeak I feel like they let him get away with more these days because of drivers/sports people have no personality and the ones that do have said personality only have it because of social media/marketing opportunities, so they see Logano as someone to keep things "interesting". I certainly agree that the governing bodies of NASCAR need to have a sit down with him
My all time favorite? Jeff Gordon by far. Sadly, I became a fan in 2002, which was one year AFTER his last championship, sigh. Fortunately, I became a Chase Elliott fan after it and he gave me a championship in 2020. My least favorite driver ever, by far, is Kyle Busch.

Kenseth putting Logano into the wall was the best.
Ahhhh that's makes a lot of sense! Thank you John 💪🏻
I agree with you about the Busch brothers. I should've known that they're siblings, & siblings always have rivalries
Having brother myself....I would wholeheartedly...have to agree 😂

He gives a lot to children's
charities.

Other incidents where he was roughed up first then retaliated include:
- Tony Stewart blocking him at Autoclub in 2013 and him almost wrecking Stewart because he was not going to lift. (it is a restart and clean air is king. Also getting past as much cars on a restart can make or break your race.)
- Carl Edwards blocking him in the 2016 Championship race at Homestead on what would have been the final restart. (it is a restart and clean air is king. Logano was much better than Edwards but he continued to block until he got turned by the 22.)
- In 2017, Kyle Busch comes down on Logano on the backstretch of Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
However, I always would like to let everyone have ALL the information before forming an opinion.

th-cam.com/video/U3M1KeYaNig/w-d-xo.html The part of the video with 2 cars doing victory burnouts is Robby Gordon and Kevin Harvick (the car that actually won the race).

I have a lot of respect for Earnhardt Sr. though
The fan base pushed me away more than anything.

Thank you for answering Jason, you like who you like haha, glad you enjoyed
They're all good or they wouldn't be there, so it's hard to say who makes your blood boil, it is a testament to those who adapt and change with consistency to take a checkered flag and/or a championship that makes them great. hard to go against Dale, Petty, Junior Johnson, if you don't win you don't eat mentality.
@@dcmsr5141 that's a very true mentality amongst drivers
I always felt like these situations are incredibly disrespectful to the teams who build the cars. I’ve always said if drivers have a problem with each other they should fight outside the cars because the team members aren’t at fault.

2:02 Wooooo Weeeee, I do not recall that one. This happened sometime after, #25Vickers was a Hendrick driver. "accidentally" shoved and pitted his teammate #48Johnson into #8Earnhardt and went on to win that race. (check out Talladega 2006)
5:10 Oh yeah.
21:21 I realize i wasted my time explaining the chase elliot 24 -> 9 segment in the daytona video hahahahaaha😅
22:34 LOL, EVERYONE FAUGHT HIM! "Boo Denny Hamlin, Wheres my UPS Driver!?"
24:00 BROTHER!
IDK why the vid person would say that
31:27 Yeah for sure me neither, I had a distaste for Kenseth after the Gordon incident you saw there.
2015 was a complete miss for me as i was in service so i did not get to see one race until mid 2016
36:28 Here we goooooooooo sweet release again. And you see the crowd cheering for Kenseth the loudest he's ever been cheered for, I really wish I saw this moment live. The Success of Evil is for Good Men to do Nothing.

"He's getting stupid now"
The first ever full NASCAR race televised to a national audience involved a bare knuckle fist fight between Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison after one caused the other to wreck (where the picture at 13:26 comes from).
😂😂😂 you must hate when he wins
Dale Jr favorite, Kyle Busch disliked for the longest time.

Joey Logano was as dirty as the NBA player Bill Laimbeer. I never understood why NASCAR or the NBA put up with their BS.
I guess it makes for "excitement" in a sport, I can't say I personally agree 😂
But Logano just made that a regular maneuver, it was rarely done because there was some high emotions involved due to something happening earlier on a race.,
At one point, NASCAR made Darrell Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt go to dinner and shake hands and agree to stop wrecking each other...and there was an "OR ELSE" attached to that.
