This guy is genius. I watched this video 2 years ago and I came back to write this review COs it works! I passed every single paper on first attempt following this exact technique. Thank you!
I watch this once two months before each and every CIMA exam, once two weeks before the exam and once couple of days before the exam. Worked for me so far. 50% through the qualification already!
Solid advice! I watched this before sitting my first set of ACCA exams and I completed all 10 exams (3 exemptions) in less than 2 years (all first time passes, lowest mark 64%) by following this technique. It works!!!
Thanks for all the posts!!! I have been struggling to pass my bcompt for years now and the only real help or coming close to understanding the subs were through your lectures!
Thanks sir, currently is when I started ACCA and I am seriously dedicated to finish in a short time. kindly drop for me any advice that can help me finish the race well. I also like to do more papers in every sitting exam. thanks.
Thanks great to put the face to the voice - just wondered if you were going to cover implicit interest in leases ( using the actuarial method and the sum of digits method) which became examable in CIMA's F3. Apart from that best accountancy material I've come across! You make it so understanable. Thanks
thank you, i will try this....i have tried paper F5 for 3 times am beginning to loose hope. i think the issue is , i keep reading without practising the questions and then mastering the techniques
Hi Abiola, I failed f5 three times with 49 marks! so you can imagine how I felt!. My advice would be to focus on practice questions, get a BPP revision kit, and compare your approach to the question to theirs, then the MOST important thing is...really drill the DISCUSSION practice, that's where a huge percentage of marks are. Just by adding a few more points and discussing them extensively (i.e Tranfers pricing, potential conflicts between divisions, why some managers may refuse, what should be the main objective of transfer pricing etc and apply all of that to the scenario) I went from 49 to 69 marks.
Can you please help me? I know almost nothing about accounting. Economy is my hobby pretty much and I want to study .If I want to have my own practice ( my ultimate goal) should I start with ACCA or what should I do? SOOOOO confusing. I live in UK
Hey thanks for the video...I heard that the format for the December 2014 exam for F7 has changed by including 20 multiple choice questions...Is that true?
Yes, that is the case they are gearing up for exams going computer based at some stage as CIMA for example have just changed all exams to computer based with no paper based exams at all any more...our courses are being adapted as we speak to reflect the changes.
mapitaccountancy Hi Aaron, can I ask as the F7 exam is changing to CBE, only the last September paper is the same format as the December paper, how can I get hold of more practice papers that are suitable for December? Thanks for your videos, they are really great. AJ
Guys I want to give acca jes. I heard it's 20 lessons including greek lessons. How many years do I need to pass it all. I won't work while studying. I am an average student. Please any information would be great
Hi I am an acca student and i am through with the fundamental level. I am going to give my f7 anf f6 exams in March 2019 and I don't have other commitments,I am a correspondence student. So are 3.5 months enough to study both the subjects and that too with self-study? Please reply. Thanks.
Thank you very much for the advice, to me it seems like when attempting the exam questions by myself after covering the syllabus for the F-5 I hardly manage to do more than 20% of a question without looking at the advice. I hope this will improve with time but this seems to be the situation at the moment. Any advice on this situation, maybe there are more people in this situation. Thank you!
That's fine....you aren't supposed to be able to do it at the start, that's why you do multiple past papers to learn from the answers and improve...stick at it:)
@mapitaccountancy I find that the practice questions in the revision sessions are teaching me more new things rather than the syllabus being revised. Therefore, how is it technically revision? Is revision for ACCA also about learning a lot of new things?
Hi, I think it depends on the subject and the examiner would say that you should have plenty of general finance knowledge from work/background reading etc. which might come up.
Thanks for your quick reply! I have a degree and got exemptions for all the foundation papers apart from F7 as I failed the equivalent exam. The lecture notes, practice questions and exams are much easier to understand than F7, without question. What would you recommend is the best way to brush up on prior knowledge from F3?
Hello sir. I'm planning to take up ACCA after taking 5 paper exemptions being completed Intermediate level of CA. Now my doubt is, what should my approach be for selecting as well as preparing a paper? Either 2 papers at a time or just one and whether the same should be covered up in a months or 2?
When I was taking my exams, I sat 4 every 6 months (back when there was only 2 sittings a year) and scored over 70% in all of them. I was working full time but dedicated every spare minute to studying. It depends on what else you have going on e.g. children, work, etc. and how good you are at keeping yourself motivated. A lot of my students sit only one each time and many others take 3. Only you will know the answer! :)
Check opentuition site. You can get past papers, answers on ACCA website. However if you are seriously considering completing all papers I would recommend you buy a kit and text by BBP or Kaplan.
Depends how much free time you have and the subject but the point is that reading then re-reading then making notes then reading the notes will not do any good. Read it once, try an illustration then do a past paper question.
@ragnar, it also depends on your overall target as regards when you want to complete all ACCA exams and then, how many papers you will be sitting per diet. In all of this, you are the one to decide eventually because you alone know how much studying you can handle, considering your other commitments in life. Cheers
hello i am south Korean who start studying ACCA.. actually i passed F1,F2 within 50 days but F3 .... i couldn't pass first score was 38( i understand i didn't study) second score was 48% i feel depression nowadays whether i need to give up accounting studying... ( because i thought that if i cannot pass F3, even fundamental level that major is not mathcing with me..how should i do? through ur experience please reply my message :(
Hi there, plenty of others don't pass first time and with 48% it might just be you had a bad day. I think you are being too hard on yourself. Nothing worth getting is easy so pick yourself up and keep at it:)
Don't give up Sarah Son. You may need to review how you study for the exams and the techniques you employ (remember, you shouldn't expect to have a different result if you use the same method everytime!). Also, as it was said in the video, have the mindset of "Steps to Freedom". Focus on the benefits of being an ACCA member (let those benefits be the fuel to catapult you to great success). Hang in there, you can make it.
World OF Entertainment 2/3 years i'm acca student its not easy to complete it in 2 years if u are talented you can get ur certificate in 2 years but if u r avg student then i believe it take 3&1/2.or 4 years
