It's ironic how both Peach and Zelda got to be the protagonists of a game in the same year (althought, Zelda's one was definitely the better one, not only because Echoes of Wisdom is a WAY better than Princess Peach Showtime, but also because unlike the latter Echoes of Wisdom is a mainline Zelda game and not a spin-off. It was a bold move from Nintendo to make Zelda the full protagonist of a mainline game really).
@@grayfox4819I mean what makes this mainline and he Peach ones not mainline? Honestly looking at the artstyle and little buzz about it I'd call this game a spin-off too.
Because this one is still classified as a THE LEGEND OF ZELDA game, and has all of the elements of one, with the difference you play as Zelda instead of Link. Spin-off of the Zelda series are games like the Hyrule Warriors games or Link's Crossbow training. The two Peach games fall in the latters' category.
The sad thing is, no one says this game is enjoyable but super easy. People should be made aware of that. I finished the game in three days and never died, not even in a boss fight.
Did you play on Hero mode? I never died after finding bottles even on hero mode but I certainly had plenty of zero heart moments considering how much damage some enemies do.
It’s unfortunate that this game suffers the same framerate issues as links awakening. But anyways Idk if most Zelda fans like the graphical style of Links Awakening remake and now with Echoes of wisdom, but it’s a very adorable claymation style choice. That being said, I get the feeling this art style is pretty much going to be a staple whenever Nintendo does some sort of top down old school Zelda game. That’s either a good or bad thing. Anyways, unfortunately I have to skip echoes of wisdom in favor of Mario & Luigi brothership.
@@supervisorjd4458 both? Well in regards to why i am not picking up both. like many other gamers, I’m tackling the endless amounts of games on my backlog. However, Mario & Luigi brothership i’m more willing to pick up as it’s nice to see the sort of “resonance” of Mario themed RPG revivals lately, what with super Mario rpg & Thousand year door remakes.
Why bother getting a game that doesn't have Link in it as the hero. I was thinking of getting this game until I heard a stupid rod is the main weapon. I'll take the sword combat over a stupid mage combat anyday
@@deathjoker666 unfortunate but oh well, it is what it is. It’s the same feeling I had with Princess peach showtime. I played the games demo and it didn’t leave much of an impression. It’s worse that the game suffers from some weird performance issues. I get that the Nintendo switch is beyond outdated, but imo there were some fantastic 1st party games on the system that are capable of decent performance, but that aside… I don’t have much of a problem that Zelda echoes of wisdom doesn’t play like the traditional Zelda games in regards to the combat aspect, what matters the most about Zelda games is the puzzles & dungeons, and from what I’ve seen and heard. This game has great dungeon & puzzles, especially since so many people are so critical about BoTW/ToTK’s dungeons & puzzles.
this game should be called The Legend of Link
haha, pretty much :P
the legend of zelda: missing link
Zelda >>> Peach
Zelda >>>> Samus (????)
@@awake1251 Nah. Samus >>>>> Zelda, but The Legend of Zelda titles are >>>>>> Metroid games.

Thanks for the great review!
(FYI "systems" on the final conclusion text blurb is misspelled)
It happens. Thanks
And no, we do not talk about that other game
haha deal :P

Still, both Super Princess Peach and Princess Peach are spin-off. Echoes of Wisdom is a full fledged mainline Zelda game. That's the difference.

Hard mode is not easy for sure
The combat looks almost like pokemon
I don't think you've played pokemon then.
@@NerdyTransformed it plays like pokemon violent when you let the pokemon battle on there own not the classic pokemon and yes I played it
