On the kick drum the WA-47 definitely has more punch in the low end and less of the highs that the C414 XLII has. I've had hits back in the days with the C414 on vocals so it has a dear place in my heart. The U-47 was a mic I used a few years later at a major label's studio. I loved it's sound with my vocals. For your vocals it's just a case of preference. Both mics sound great. On guitar I preferred the WA-47 but for drum room I liked the C414 slightly more. This was a very interesting and entertaining test. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching and giving such a detailed review! I haven't used a real U-47 but good to get some more information. These are both great mics and I'm glad I have been able to get them into my locker.
Love this comparison! I've been heavily considering the WA47 for a while now and you might have just sold me on it!
Thanks for watching! It's a great mic, my go to now for vocals.

I think the 47 is your mic for vocals.
That's my thought as well, running through the Warm WA-73 pre-amp is my vocal chain of choice right now. Thanks for watching!
