All very nice but I much prefer our new Consort Pace, well thought out, designed by campers for campers, excellent layout and storage solutions, provided by a family firm who care for their product and their customers
So absolutely no mention of the 2025 launch of the new California VW Ocean?, hands down the most innovative 5m camper to hit the market for years. The Multivan base is like driving a car, matched only by the Mercedes Marco Polo.
What's so innovative about it? I can't think of anything that hasn't been done before.
It drives beautifully (way, way better than a Marco Polo which is not that great at all) but there's no storage. It's really little more than a day van.
@@MotorhomeCampervan What's different about the Autohaus from every other Transit Custom van conversion?.....answer is they are all the same, you could be climbing into any one of the bunch of Custom conversions on the market.
Weird there was a VW category. That made me think there were categories for other manufacturers, too! 😂
They had to squeeze a VW in somewhere. One of the reviewers thinks that anything else isn't a real camper van.
VWs have their own category as it's a huge part of the small campervan market, with specialist converters who do nothing else and buyers who only want a VW
This was an odd sort of category as there where two totally different types of conversions are squeezed into one class.
We had van conversions with seperate spaces for living/eating, cooking, sleeping and 'toileting' which can even go off grid for several days. Then there were traditional camper vans where all of the above functions are crammed into the same 9ft x 4 ft bit of space which are basically tied to camp sites.
The two types appeal to different kinds of customers.

@@MotorhomeCampervan I didn't pick up on that in the video, maybe I should have read the description before commenting but I still say that the vehicles still fall into 2 categories, camper vans and van conversions.
What’s the rush? Sorry but I’d leave the reviews to Peter Vaughan if I were you.

That's the beauty of these awards - total independence, judged by some of the most experienced journalists in the sector, without any bias or influence. As you can see, the sponsor is a finance company!
The Autohaus is a strange choice, it's no different than the many other Transit Custom 5m vans being churned out, in addition you have to pay extra for the multi rail seat slider system which is standard in so many other new Transit based campers, also extra for solar?........it's coming up to 2025 where most other Transit Custom converters fit solar as standard. The Wildax Proteus Sport is a far better purchase in my opinion.
We viewed the Bailey at NEC. Excited about it on paper and videos. Sadly the bathroom is a complete design disaster. There’s no ventilation in the roof or a window. The tambour bathroom door very flimsy and didn’t slide at all well plus you could leave halfway open for ventilation. So sadly ruled this van out.
The Hymer- the only plus point is it looks quite cool. The build quality is very poor. No grill cramped front area. The worst bit was the bed was set too high meaning as you sat up you easily bang your head on the cupboards! Also bed too short for a 6’ person.
Where is the Hillside Hopton ? Or IH vans.!Every area of these vans far better than Eriba.
