Hi guys and thank you I was born in Yorkshire but have been living in Somerset for over 30 years It’s great to find your channel and looking back at some of the places I used to go to keep up the great work guys
Thanks so much, I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the Yorkshire videos! More to come soon 🙂 I bet Somerset has some amazing places to walk too! Thanks for watching 😊
A lovely video! You inspire me to make sure to take this walk. I love the little detour you took, and the waterfalls just make the walk even more special! Thank you for sharing the tips and information.
Hello my Travel Place friends! ANother wonderful walk. I enjoy the stone village buildings and countryside. Beautiful waterfalls. Well done, my friends. Big like and full play 👍. Thanks for sharing and all the best in the new year 😀.
Absolutely fantastic, what a stunning walk and the fields of wildflowers were amazing. Been to Gunnerside many times and passed through Muker and Keld before but never stopped but going to now, this looks a belter of a walk, so need to nice weather now to get this done before the meadows are cut down. Great watch with superb commentary, cheers Alan
Haha yes the weather is not on our side right now but hopefully there will be some dry weather before the wildflowers are cut back! We haven't done any walks around Gunnerside but would like to. Thanks for watching!
Hey guys another lovely hike, I enjoyed seeing all of the blooming wildflowers and waterfalls, sooo pretty :) It is sad to hear how many meadows have been lost :( but glad to hear there are conservation areas like this one. I was able to see the shimmering on the rocks at the last waterfall, so cool! That sheep at the end 😆😂
Haha yeah, we came across more sheep just chilling in the middle of the road on the way back too - they have no fear 😂 Yeah, figures around the decline of the meadows is pretty staggering. I read somewhere that that's the equivalent to one and a half times the size of Wales 🙁 We grow wildflowers in our garden and on shared patches on our street so we have a lot of happy bees buzzing around at the moment 😊
Oh wow! It looks spectacular! And great that they are protecting the meadows. 👏 It would definitely be rude not to stop for ice-cream 😎 Really stunning video guys. 🖤
I cover parking at 07:45 in the video, but basically there's either a small paid car park or lay-bys at the edge of the village along the main road (b6270). Have a good walk!
