Awful cabin- where is the sofa? Every cabin I've stayed in on 45 cruises on 7 cruise lines has a sofa/ couch ( 6 ft.)..and that curtained shower is also terrible...Princess is suppose to be a "premium" cruise line..I don't equate the word "premium" with curtained showers...where do you eat? Where do you put your stuff when you get in from a beach day or an excursion? I'm glad to see the Sun Princess has finally come into the 21st century..now all they need are King beds instead of Queen beds ( also like all other cruise lines except Disney..)..3 things I look for in a balcony cabin: King beds, glass enclosed showers, & a nice sofa couch ( NOT a loveseat!)...this would eliminate this cabin for me...
Thank you for sharing your perspective. The walk-in closet offers a lot of storage space - as does the desk and counter - but I agree a couch and glass shower door are misses that they've finally addressed with Sun. One thing to keep in mind with Princess, though, is the price point. Their fares are often lower than lines like Celebrity (at least on non-Sun class ships) - as are their daily all-inclusive package rates - so I've started to adjust my expectations accordingly.
@@TheChillCruiser ...2 more things: I really wish Princess would put in beverage holders in the main theaters...why do I have to hold my drink for 45-60 minutes? RCI, NCL, Disney, & Celebrity all have beverage holders..on both the Regal & Enchanted I put the drink under my seat & you can probably guess what happened- of course, several people knocked my drink over as they went by us to get to their seats..and- I wish Princess would have a sports bar...on the Enchanted Princess 2 yrs ago, we were cruising during the NCAA basketball tournament, and on the 2nd night about 10 of us who met at the pool earlier decided to go after dinner to watch the games..when we got to Guest Services, one guy asked where is the sports bar to see the NCAA games? The gal said, "we don't have a sports bar..you can watch in the casino"..."the casino? one guy said...the casino has stools at the bar and only a few at that..and it's noisy in there.."...I said, 'this is a new ship and you don't have a sports bar?" ..EVERY cruise ship I have sailed ( RCI, NCL, Disney, Celebrity..) has a sports bar"....the manager came out and said, "Princess pretty much does not have sports bars on their ships"..when I thought about, I realized the Regal & Crown Princess also had no sports bars..I like Princess's itineraries, excursions & service, but cabins, entertainment & specialty dining needs improvement IMO...the Sun's cabins look very nice...entertainment seems much better and I love the more dining options as well..we ( DW & I) are booked on the Sun for a 5 night cruise 10/14/24..looking forward to it...
