if your opponent activates cemetery bomb and you activate localized tornado it would reduce the damage take to 100 since localized tornado would resolve before cemetery bomb leaving localized tornado as the only card in your graveyard.
The only use I can think of localized tornado is if you have no cards left in your deck; let's say after a long game and you don't have any more cards to draw you play that so you'll be able to draw and continue the duel.

there should be an archetype that switches control of set traps/spells, and then forces them to activate. that way you can activate these bad cards for your opponent

I remember pulling Tainted Wisdom and Skull Knight out of my very first pack of Yugioh cards ever. Bought it at a flea market in Jacksonville Florida. Thought they were so cool but how dumb I was back then. The rare was Shadow Ghoul. Don't ask how I remember that 15 years after the fact.
They used to make lv4's with 2000 atk or more a real risk to use; Now you've got stuff like Opera the Melodious Diva and Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight with debuffs that could end up helping instead. The lv4's with up to 2200 def don't even have debuffs anymore.
I’ve used localized tornado once. Me and my brother had a really long duel and we both had no cards in our decks left but I had a face down localized tornado and I used it just so he’d deck out. It’s a somewhat useful card in that type of situation
"Boar Soldier" has two potential uses. 1) "Skill Drain" was at 3 for a _long_ time, and Level 4 "Skill Drain" Beatdown was decent for a while. 2) "By Order of the Emperor" can negate its self-destruct and let you draw. ... I never said they were viable.
I can actually see a use for Cold Feet. Let's say you have a continuous trap that includes an effect that makes you destroy your own stuff. For example, if you play Eternal Soul and your opponent targets it with an effect to destroy it, you could chain this and it would stop your own monsters from being destroyed.
What about: - Goblin out of the Frying Pan (Trap): Paying life points so your opponent can just activate their Spell card again? - An Unfortunate Report (Trap): Your opponent can conduct their Battle Phase twice, why? - Gate Guardian (Monster): Impossible to summon, no in-build protection
I think that Card Shuffle could be almost-not-trash against cards that allow your opponent to reorder cards in their deck, like Morphtronic Smartfon for example. But even then, those cards are so few and far between that it'll probably come in handy a few times before the end of the world.

Tornado I play at 2 in my sleeping giant deck. Because I make it so everything in my deck is only 1 card or even just 0 once I bring him out with the mallets tornado resets my deck so I don't deck out.
In MtG, there is a deck called lantern control. It uses cards that let you look at the top of your opponent's deck and cards that let you either send them to the bottom or shuffle them away (and cards to lock your opponent out of using what little they DO manage to get on board) if Yu-Gi-Oh had a deck like that, Card Shuffle would probably actually see play to shuffle away cards that you didn't want your opponent having.
I remember back in the day my friend and I thought Yado Karu was really good because we thought it let you draw as well. Once we realized that it doesn't do that we took them out of our deck and ripped them in half right in the middle of the duel.
localized tornado can be used as a failsafe for a full reset in decks that rely on card of demise a lot. I used it with jar of avarice for an infinite with a deck that was completely dedicated to pulling off zushin the sleeping giant. I can also be useful against tricksters if it doesn't get banished 1st turn and you need to protect a valuable card in the hand. Localized tornado isn't a great card but it can have utility in conditional situations
There's the counter trap called ’Malfunction' where you pay 500 life points to negate activation of opponent's trap card and return it to it's original position. Your opponent can reactivate the trap though.
I had a friend who ran Localized Tornado with his Volcanic deck. He would send everything to the graveyard and then have one card in his hand. He would then activate 3 Reckless Greeds and then chain with Localized Tornado. Shuffle everything and draw 6 cards with only skipping 2 draw phases. I think he did well with it.
Actually Yado Karu Does Have A Useful Effect If You Wanted A Monster Placed At The Bottom And Activate A Card To Draw Spells Until You Get A Monster, You'd Have All Your Spells In Your Hand, And Their Are Plenty Of Traps To Activate To Deal Damage By Using Those Spells
Localized Tornado is actually great for a stalling deck, just keep using kuribohs, Enemy Controllers, Widespread Ruin and such to keep your opponent from touching your lifepoints. Surely your opponent has ran low on cards in the main deck, then activate Localized Tornado and if the effect isn’t negated; you win!
I can think of using localized tornado in a stall deck when you have a board stall and want your opponent to deck out. (I'm talking about in duel links ofc, this card is shit useless irl)
number one I could see as being useful against a guy who's plan is to make you deck out by running out of cards but then again to beat a deck out player just have a large deck to slow down the burn, I think that's a better game plan then localized tornado
Yado karu's only use is to activate a effect to switch it to defense mode send wulf the lightsworn beast to the bottom of your deck activate foolish burial send wulf to the graveyard activate wulf effect to summon him and then go into a rank four play
Card Shuffle can be viable in Duel Links, with the ability Aroma Strategy That lets you see the top card of your deck. That essencialy allows you to do a draw doover
I use localized tornado to try and win by deck out. When my deck gets low I activate it to basically put my deck back to being full, meanwhile my opponents deck is still running low. I won’t activate it if I have nothing to protect my life points with though. It’s all about how you use the card
I have a strategy where Localized Tornado works. Your opponent is running Exchange of the Spirit. You're down to 1 card, and then you play that. Your opponent will deck out, and you win.
I've actually played someone in a tournament who used localized tornado, he just looks at me smiles and says "your turn" I couldn't keep a straight face.
Epic combo. Use Yado Karu to place a card to the bottom of your deck, then, use Card Shuffle and shuffle it back to the top of your deck. Do this with Infernity Archfiend to activate his effect.
I think cold feet is a watered down cold wave, and it does go well with Refpanel, the fact it's a quick play you set it with refpanel, and use it during your opponents turn. But it is bad
I can think of a use for Cold feet with the dark contracts if they have cleared your de arks,leonidas and your scales you could use it stop your contracts from killing you.
back when Final Countdown was at three I used to play a copy of Localization Tornado to prevent decking out. you would wait until you had a few Reckless greed or hope for escape set before doing it obviously and out of cards like Swift Scarecrow
...Sadly, I can come up with a combo with Localized Tornado in Duel Links that isn't so bad. Because recovery cards are so rare there, you can chain it to the effect of Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus, and get all the cards you were going to lose to the graveyard back into the deck. Sure, there is some recovery, but for the most part, unless you are playing Bakura, you almost never want to see your monsters in the graveyard, and most certainly you don't want to see your Spells and Traps there, too, since there is no recovery for those, to my knowledge, in Duel Links. And since ODL-N-D sends all cards in BOTH player's hands and field, except itself, to the graveyard for 1 Umi, getting all your cards from the graveyard back into your deck is better than nothing.
Card shuffle could be a side vs Zefra as when they synchro they can place cards on the top of their deck. I'm sure other decks can also do the same thing.
if you use yada karu with the nature spell card that flips the deck and clear world. and if they have blue eyes or a light deck you see everything your opponents has
Not to say that it is a popular choice, or one that would be very helpful in any Meta, but in my casual play Meklord deck I use cards like Boar Soldier as an instant, 1 card option for Summoning any of the Meklord Emperor cards.
if you use a card like plaque spreader zombie to put a card you dont want in your hand on top of the deck you need in the deck for another card like predaplant orphys scorpio and darligntonia cobra you can put the darligtonia cobra on top of your deck card shufle it back
Also do a vid on the worst effect scenarios. Example: cards whose effects activates when the card is discarded by an opponent's card effect (Electric Snake)
At number 5, Yado Karu, with 1700 defense, that's not actually bad for the time it was released. Considering most level 4 monsters had an average of 1500 attack at that time. 4 and 3 are crap, i can't justify it. 3 makes good trolling material. 2 - Maybe you could combo it with skill drain, which gets rid of all effects? So it can get you out a 2,000 attack monster with no effort (which would've been good back in the day 1 - Magical Mallet is also a better version, it lets you throw out as many cards back into your deck you want, and draw the exact number you put back
id never use these cards either but here's the thing with "yado karu" you forgot goblin circus; it takes cards from the bottom of the deck to the top, it'd help with cards that can only be activated the turn they're normal drawn just saying; cold feet + metalmorph use "card shuffle" to stop effects that select card from deck and put them on top ie; goblin circus, field-commander rahz

Localized tornado, use on stall decks, the turn before your deck runs out of cards, play it, it's a good stall i suppose? can be good if you have no cards in your hand at all aswell, i'd say it's not all that bad, it just depends on how you play it.
for #5 use it in a deck with magical merchant where u need to mill your entire deck so u only have 1 spell.... if you draw that spell, putting it on the bottom could be useful. Slim chance but has a minor purpose that could be accomplished in better ways!
To be fair, Localized Tornado is basicly Fiber Jar, at that point i rather just use Morphin Jar, Card Destruction or Reload if im looking to reset my hand for any particular reason
Yo I got a final countdown deck with two localized tornadoes, while I'm stalling forever I can never be decked out which was basically the only way that deck lost.
yado karu good with goblin circus, cold feet good with spell/trap effects that auto activate under certain conditions and u don't want them to go off that turn. card shuffle is good because vs gishki. localized tornado good for pot of desires players, and also lots of cards benefit from empty gy like superheavy samurai.
I only see localized tornado being an okay card if it was the year 2000, you know back when call of the haunted was limited to 1 and monster reborn wasn't a banned card
Localized Tornado won me a locals tourny, side decked it in for backup coz the opponent played Ghostrick. Activated this late game returned 30 to my deck, then he decked out.
Localized Tornado is actually really good in Anime duels, since the majority of GOOD anime decks will empty their deck into their graveyard really quickly
I have unironically used localized tornado in a timaeus lock deck. My win con was to stall with it and timaus until opp decked out (this was before kaijus)... the deck sucked, but tornado put in work!
alright besides shiens spy and nuvia. When it came out, nuvia was still a decent lvl 4 beater regardless of your opponent having one card. shien can be used for cheeky plays too.

SkillDrain and spell counters - plenty of support there - i'd change it with MetalRare Dragon 2... yeeeeeeep. 3... kinda, Dark Gaia decks 4.... kinda, it's easy now to make him avoid the graveyard, still wouldn't play him though 5... Most Pointless Card Ever XD 6.... Nah, and Challenge Accepted btw - i run Sphinxs XD - 7.... kinda, if you're good at this game you should know there's ways to make it 2200 safely XD
Yado Karu's effect does not need to be activated though, so he is basically just slightly worse than a normal monster with the same stats. Card Shuffle is just a specific countercard against decks that control what you draw or what the enemies draw. (Aka destroy a monster and set it on top of the enemies deck). Niche =/= bad. Boar Soldier has a minus because of its age and because the card its centred around is limited. It's been a card for skill drain, along with cards like Jirai gumo, Flash Assailant etc.. Like, the entirety of the Neo-space cards safe for a few exceptions like Grand Mole or Rainbow Neos are worse than all of the cards on this list imo.
*Go Second* Normal summon Boar solder. (BLOWS UP) Activate Astrograph Sorcerer, Special Summon. Activate Effect To banish him along with Double Iris, White wing, Black fang and Violet Poison to create ALL HOLY LORD Z-ARC
You can use localized tornado in a lightsworn deck for once you summon everything you can use this on your opponents turn and get your graveyard back and go for round 2 with the deck xD
Wouldn't humble sentry, Yado Cardo and some greed cards be good for an exodia deck? I kinda wish you showed Man eater bug as a comparison for Zone Eater... that or any of the other cards that do similar things for less cost like Dig eater mole.

Localized Tornado is actually great for a stalling deck, just keep using kuribohs, Enemy Controllers, Widespread Ruin and such to keep your opponent from touching your lifepoints. Surely your opponent has ran low on cards in the main deck, then activate Localized Tornado and if the effect isn’t negated; you win!
I can think of using localized tornado in a stall deck when you have a board stall and want your opponent to deck out. (I'm talking about in duel links ofc, this card is shit useless irl)

number one I could see as being useful against a guy who's plan is to make you deck out by running out of cards but then again to beat a deck out player just have a large deck to slow down the burn, I think that's a better game plan then localized tornado
Yado karu's only use is to activate a effect to switch it to defense mode send wulf the lightsworn beast to the bottom of your deck activate foolish burial send wulf to the graveyard activate wulf effect to summon him and then go into a rank four play
Card Shuffle can be viable in Duel Links, with the ability Aroma Strategy That lets you see the top card of your deck. That essencialy allows you to do a draw doover
Cold feet can be useful if you have a skilled dark magician on the field, dark red enchanter on field, and no other spells or traps in hand
I use localized tornado to try and win by deck out. When my deck gets low I activate it to basically put my deck back to being full, meanwhile my opponents deck is still running low. I won’t activate it if I have nothing to protect my life points with though. It’s all about how you use the card

I have a strategy where Localized Tornado works. Your opponent is running Exchange of the Spirit. You're down to 1 card, and then you play that. Your opponent will deck out, and you win.
I've actually played someone in a tournament who used localized tornado, he just looks at me smiles and says "your turn" I couldn't keep a straight face.
Epic combo. Use Yado Karu to place a card to the bottom of your deck, then, use Card Shuffle and shuffle it back to the top of your deck. Do this with Infernity Archfiend to activate his effect.
I think cold feet is a watered down cold wave, and it does go well with Refpanel, the fact it's a quick play you set it with refpanel, and use it during your opponents turn. But it is bad
I can think of a use for Cold feet with the dark contracts if they have cleared your de arks,leonidas and your scales you could use it stop your contracts from killing you.
back when Final Countdown was at three I used to play a copy of Localization Tornado to prevent decking out. you would wait until you had a few Reckless greed or hope for escape set before doing it obviously and out of cards like Swift Scarecrow
...Sadly, I can come up with a combo with Localized Tornado in Duel Links that isn't so bad. Because recovery cards are so rare there, you can chain it to the effect of Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus, and get all the cards you were going to lose to the graveyard back into the deck. Sure, there is some recovery, but for the most part, unless you are playing Bakura, you almost never want to see your monsters in the graveyard, and most certainly you don't want to see your Spells and Traps there, too, since there is no recovery for those, to my knowledge, in Duel Links. And since ODL-N-D sends all cards in BOTH player's hands and field, except itself, to the graveyard for 1 Umi, getting all your cards from the graveyard back into your deck is better than nothing.
Card shuffle could be a side vs Zefra as when they synchro they can place cards on the top of their deck. I'm sure other decks can also do the same thing.
if you use yada karu with the nature spell card that flips the deck and clear world. and if they have blue eyes or a light deck you see everything your opponents has
Not to say that it is a popular choice, or one that would be very helpful in any Meta, but in my casual play Meklord deck I use cards like Boar Soldier as an instant, 1 card option for Summoning any of the Meklord Emperor cards.

I have actually used localized tornado in a deck. It was Zushin turbo and I needed a way to not deck out after getting him out turn one.
if you use a card like plaque spreader zombie to put a card you dont want in your hand on top of the deck you need in the deck for another card like predaplant orphys scorpio and darligntonia cobra you can put the darligtonia cobra on top of your deck card shufle it back
Also do a vid on the worst effect scenarios. Example: cards whose effects activates when the card is discarded by an opponent's card effect (Electric Snake)
At number 5, Yado Karu, with 1700 defense, that's not actually bad for the time it was released. Considering most level 4 monsters had an average of 1500 attack at that time.
4 and 3 are crap, i can't justify it. 3 makes good trolling material.
2 - Maybe you could combo it with skill drain, which gets rid of all effects? So it can get you out a 2,000 attack monster with no effort (which would've been good back in the day
1 - Magical Mallet is also a better version, it lets you throw out as many cards back into your deck you want, and draw the exact number you put back

with "yado karu" you forgot goblin circus; it takes cards from the bottom of the deck to the top, it'd help with cards that can only be activated the turn they're normal drawn

Tainted wisdom is a tour guide target and an allure target and a crane crane target and can be used for skull knight

I actually used Localized Tornado in a crazy lockdown OTK before.
Localized tornado, use on stall decks, the turn before your deck runs out of cards, play it, it's a good stall i suppose? can be good if you have no cards in your hand at all aswell, i'd say it's not all that bad, it just depends on how you play it.
for #5 use it in a deck with magical merchant where u need to mill your entire deck so u only have 1 spell.... if you draw that spell, putting it on the bottom could be useful. Slim chance but has a minor purpose that could be accomplished in better ways!

To be fair, Localized Tornado is basicly Fiber Jar, at that point i rather just use Morphin Jar, Card Destruction or Reload if im looking to reset my hand for any particular reason
Yo I got a final countdown deck with two localized tornadoes, while I'm stalling forever I can never be decked out which was basically the only way that deck lost.
yado karu good with goblin circus, cold feet good with spell/trap effects that auto activate under certain conditions and u don't want them to go off that turn. card shuffle is good because vs gishki. localized tornado good for pot of desires players, and also lots of cards benefit from empty gy like superheavy samurai.
I only see localized tornado being an okay card if it was the year 2000, you know back when call of the haunted was limited to 1 and monster reborn wasn't a banned card
Localized Tornado won me a locals tourny, side decked it in for backup coz the opponent played Ghostrick. Activated this late game returned 30 to my deck, then he decked out.
maybe boar soldier may work in your favor with your other monsters that gains effect if theres a beast warrior type in your graveyard
Localized Tornado is actually really good in Anime duels, since the majority of GOOD anime decks will empty their deck into their graveyard really quickly
Great list. Will say boar soldier would be ok in meklord. For me, most of the neos fusions are ruined by their return clause. Vehicroids also suck.
I have unironically used localized tornado in a timaeus lock deck. My win con was to stall with it and timaus until opp decked out (this was before kaijus)... the deck sucked, but tornado put in work!

alright besides shiens spy and nuvia. When it came out, nuvia was still a decent lvl 4 beater regardless of your opponent having one card. shien can be used for cheeky plays too.

Yado Karu's effect does not need to be activated though, so he is basically just slightly worse than a normal monster with the same stats.
Card Shuffle is just a specific countercard against decks that control what you draw or what the enemies draw. (Aka destroy a monster and set it on top of the enemies deck). Niche =/= bad.
Boar Soldier has a minus because of its age and because the card its centred around is limited. It's been a card for skill drain, along with cards like Jirai gumo, Flash Assailant etc..
Like, the entirety of the Neo-space cards safe for a few exceptions like Grand Mole or Rainbow Neos are worse than all of the cards on this list imo.

Wouldn't humble sentry, Yado Cardo and some greed cards be good for an exodia deck? I kinda wish you showed Man eater bug as a comparison for Zone Eater... that or any of the other cards that do similar things for less cost like Dig eater mole.
