I converted my bikes to 12 volt and led lights it would be nice to have electric start on the 500 though. Not sure why honda use a six speed gear box for 250 and a five speed for the 500.
Eric I noted your comment re potentially fitting xr500r forks to the xr200r. I’m considering the same thing!! Have you investigated this much further ?
@@Ericf318318 ok. I also note you mentioned cr480 forks on your 500. Are they a lot better than the the stock xr500r forks? Will the xr500r front wheel and hub with speedometer drive fit the cr480 forks?

@@robertmillar2037 the CR forks are enormously better, both in suspension and stability. You need the CR axle. I fitted an electronic speedometer.
