Could the ATTO Sport be the worlds BEST COMPACT mobility scooter? I stopped by to take a quick look!

  • Today I stopped into Go Mobility to have a look at the new ATTO Sport mobility scooter. I've seen a lot of scooters over the years, but this thing really is something else.
It folds like a suitcase but once unfolded, it turns into something like out of a transformers movie. This thing is packed with features that you would never expect!
From a suitcase to an 8mph sleek looking scooter in under 30 seconds, it's impressive to say the least.
This video is not sponsored by anyone nor do I get any commission, but if you're looking to see one of these in Ireland, you can check out their website on www.gomobility.ie
    Direct link to the product:

I have owned an ATTO since 2019 and have not had any issues at all. The front tire will be needing replacement soon, but that is about it. Battery holds plenty of charge still. Recommend this mobility scooter.

I didn't try the previous one, but this new one has a very uncomfortable seat and the scooter is dangerous if not used on flat surfaces, so i was disappointed, I liked EzyFold scooter, but there is a bar connecting to the front handlebars and wheel, it prevents me from getting out of the scooter as i cannot bend my feet inwards or outwards easily, but it was the best comfortable scooter.. 2nd best was E-Foldi, but that feels like it's held together by loose screws.. I haven't decided which one of those i will buy.

I've had my ATTO Sport scooter for about 2 years now, and I can't say enough good things about it. I've had pretty much zero problems, and it's changed my life. Once you get the hang of it, it's super easy to open and close, and is way less "clunky" looking than most mobility scooters. I love the design--especially they way they've ditched those ugly baskets (IMO) that most scooters have. I use their padded seat accessory to store items under the seat instead.

I bought this scooter it worked out great. I added the arm rests but personally have not used them.
I used this for a week in Central London and a week in central Paris. Took it thru four airports and a TGV train. When we either folded or unfolded it we had several people standing watching with their jaws hanging open. It was so cool to watch. Used all day and never ran the battery out once. Bought the Atto Flight Kit for the airlines (definitely recommend that!) and the Europe charging kit which allows you to switch out the plug adapters. Amazing Engineering!

i enjoyed your review on this ATTO mobility. I appreciate you making all those many questions that at times we forget to ask. Regarding the range of this mobility I did send my question, thru their website, to find out how much a second battery would cost to have it ready for the extra 12 miles to come back home with my supermarket purchases. This has been a terrific review for a terrific present for myself. I surely appreciate it.

My sister had one of our cruise and it wouldn't start several times. She was stuck in the dinning room at the theater and in the room. They pushed her to her room each time. When we got on transportation buses, they made her get off the scooter because they said 3 wheels were considered a safety hazard when the vehicle is moving! They had to replace it with the newer model. It wasn't the battery. She loves the newer model.

    • @Oshunsprite

No buses will let a mobility scooter on unless you've done their health and safety test here in Britain. No matter if it is three-wheeler or four-wheeler. Nonetheless, a fold up one can be taken on but just not used on the bus or coach. I.E. you can wheel a fold up one on the bus/coach as luggage. That's one of the reasons I am interested in a fold up.

I was ready to order one of these (in the U.S.). I spoke with a copany that had theseAtto scooters on their website as well as many other brands. He said they would not even sell the Attos anymore because the two he had sold were lemons, had a lot of problems, and the company avoided him - would not return his calls, when they did, said they would get back, and never did. The 2 customers were stuck with scooters with problems that they could not get fixed, and could not use the scooters. Have you heard anything like this?

    • @themobilityguy
      @themobilityguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi, as the Atto is a compact scooter , in my own personal opinion they probably have a lower level of reliability due to the compact nature of the scooter and motors. But not by much margin in my opinion
I personally think it’s a neat product but to get that level of service from the manufacturer is not good at all, I’d say there’s more to what happened there, very odd to have two scooters in a row with such issues - but I can only speculate really.
A friend of mine sells these , and generally they have been problem free. I do recommend maybe trying to see if there’s any US based customer reviews for this product on the likes of Trustpilot to get a better opinion
Might be worth checking with a few other companies selling them, and getting some further opinion on their experience with Atto.

I have an Atto not the sport… When it works it’s wonderful, However, tech support is HORRIBLE, i’m still waiting on a response after 2 weeks of putting in a ticket. I've had an ATTO Mobility scooter (not the sport) for over 5 years now. I haven't had a single issue with the scooter, and the battery is still great, no loss in charge at all. I've also taken the ATTO all over South East Asia on my travels.
On the flights I've been on, the cabin crew always slowed me to drive up to the gate, and after folding it up, they'd stow it in the cabin if the flight isnt full.
I should note that I ordered the ATTO directly from their HQ in Israel a couple of months right at it was released on the market. And from my experience with their customer service, they've been quick to reply, and have solved all the minor problems I've had within 3 working days. And since it isn't convenient for me to ship the entire unit back for repairs/refurbishment as I love in Hong Kong, they'd send me the parts necessary for maintenance and provided step by step instructions as well as preformed a video call with me whilst taking care of the ATTO.
My biggest gripe with it is the standard edition ATTO has no suspension at all, and the tires lack treads for grip.

You can buy an orthopedic back rest. I just bought the ATTO Sport scooter and the back rest is an additional accessory. Well worth the money though. I have test drove it with and without the back rest. It makes a HUGE difference in the comfort level. The seat height can be adjusted as well. Ask your sales representative to help you find the correct height for your needs. I do agree with you regarding the weight. It is a bit heavy for me as well, even though broken down into two pieces. My Rep advise me to put a folding stool at the back bumper of my car so that I can bring it up onto the stool and slide in the pieces with a big beach towel. These are helpful suggestions with getting the pieces in and out of my van.

Fantastic demo and it looks good and compact! However, I see it is a three-wheeler which means it won't be as stable as a four-wheeler. The motor is on the front wheel as well, so the motor is pulling you as opposed to pushing. More strain/drain on the motor and battery. I wonder if this why the scooter bike sounds noisy.

Those bloody speed reducers when turning can be dangerous. For example you may be turning to avoid someone who’s stepped in front of you and it can be safer to turn out of the way and in this case you turn and the speed drops immediately so you can’t manoeuvre. Of course if you have a handbrake you can stop quicker than relying on the electric brake. My current scooter, which I hate, has a push button switch to temporarily disable the turning de-speeder.
I had the function disconnected on my previous scooter and will be doing so on my latest.
It’s the users who need to be educated.

Speed reducer is to stop someone flipping their scooter over if they locked their turn at high speed suddenly , I think it should be on scooter.

It’s fairly obvious what it’s for but there’s more to it than just some untrained eejits turning too quickly. There are too many scooter riders who are clueless.
