In todays video I bought a 2022 BMW M340i xDrive! Then we install a catted downpipe from Active Autowerke! This is a 100% EPA Compliant vehicle modification. You will get no check engine light (CEL) with this downpipe, even without a tune. Thanks for watching!

Great video, thanks...now I might tackle it myself. Looks hella easy. I went with the MPE exhaust however, not sure how loud or droney the car would get, if I did a downpipe as well. Just don't want the car to become obnoxious.
Stock start and rev definitely sounds way better! I’m sure the power gains are worth it though.

Thanks for sharing, I'm debating changing the exhaust but the stock sounds good enough for me, plus I'm not trying to void the warranty with mods. Honestly the car is pretty perfect from the factory but if you want to mod it the B58 can for sure handle it.
NICE! Sounds great and perhaps gives few more BHP. How much does it cost? I was just surprised when you started the engine outside there was visible "smoke" going out of the exhaust only on the left side?

Greetings from Romania, Europe. I drive the same car, I am now on the point of buying a downpipe a VRSF Catted 200 CEL, I was wondering in terms of pops and bangs are they noticeably louder ? I have MHD Stage 1 and I need the downpipe for the stage 2, but also I want a more aggressive sound.

The stock exhaust on tge m340i is very good,you shouldn't have bothered.
The cat is very restrictive, a high flow cat or catless downpipe is very necessary
It indeed is necessary if you want to add more power to the car. And if you've got the right tune or the '20 model with factory pops and bangs, it makes those a lot louder and crispier as well.

I have a 2023 and in sport + mode stock it pops when revving. Your demo in stock mode didn't pop and then it popped with new downpipe, which sounds close to my sport + mode revs stock. Did you rev in comfort or sport + for the stock demo when showing the difference?
i have a 2023 too but are you talking about the sounds in the cabin because those are piped in.. even his stock version popped a bit when revving

2021- 2023 barely pops
@mohammaddalloul9891 2020 is when they lessened actual burbles and pops and started faking them thru the speakers. It is well documented that 2019 has the loudest actually burbles and pops
Is your car MHD version? I have 22’ mild hybrid M340i (europe) and I’m affraid of check engine light.
No MHD, No tune. It is a mild hybrid. No CEL with the downpipe installed
Is there any difference in handling/ power between the gas/electric hybrid compared to the just Gas M340i?
The hybrid doesn’t affect handling. But the G chassis cars are better handling than the F chassis cars. More stable at high speed

Yes! I think there is a decent gain. Feels like a 20hp gain
is there a big difference between AA downpipes and the VSRF brand one its a huge price difference?
You will not pass an emissions test with a VRSF “catted” downpipe. AA is the only company using a real EPA compliant catalytic converter. Otherwise they are pretty much the same
@@EHOONS I see I would have gone with the Catless DP compared to the AA catted is there a big difference in power gains or just the passing the emission test
@@djcoolitoff You'll make more power and turbo'y noises with the catless. The AA is 400 cell, so it's a lot more restrective then most highflow downpipes even, as most are 200 cell. The AA you will pass emissions, and the smell will be a lot less. If you're looking for reliabilty and performace I would go catless
Never ever use a hammer or impact on an O2 sensor that’s a recipe to ruin them

No that is a big selling point of this specific downpipe
Only downfall is that it’s limited to 131
At least mine is. I’m gonna wait out till the warranty goes out so I can unlock its full potential.

I just got mine black on black X drive with red calipers 2022. Has to be the best sports car this generation.

The quad tips were a direct bolt-on or had to modify anything?
Remove the stock tips and bolt on the tips

You didn’t put on the downpipe gasket, that’s why it sounds like a rattle/leak

@@EHOONS yes but yours fell off when installing it to the turbo and putting on the v-clamp. its cleary missing.
Clearly? At 6:25 you can “clearly” see it on the table before I put it in the downpipe
@@EHOONS You edited your video a few days ago in the middle to remove the part where you show the downpipe mounting to the turbo. That is where you can see the gasket missing.

Idk about modern car design. Like they most of the time only look good if its black on black. With older cars (90s 2000) most of them look good in any colour.
And no im not an old guy^^ Just modern car design can be great but often looks worse than the same models in the past.

except with a downpipe, charge pipe and off the shelf tune it can make more power then the f80 , and no I don’t even own one 😅
