What a beautiful performance! Joan in fine voice, so emotional and the backing band is superb. Mick Karn laying down a lovely bass track, Phil Collins and Mark Bezezicki, locked in tight together, Midge Ure & Paul Carrick tasteful backing and David Sanborns (r.i.p David) alto sax solo sublime!
Now if I can feel the sun in my eyes, and the rain on my face. Why can't I Feellllllllllllllllllllllll.....................................................Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
....Joan with David Sanborn on sax. I just saw Joan on her LAST BIG tour...solo...acoustic guitar and also played some keyboards. I can only HOPE that Joan again tours wih a LARGE band, including horns...and sax again. She did some terrific songs in the 80s/90s...great arrangements. Fist saw Joan on her 1983 THE KEY tour at Radio City Music Hall in NYC...Joe Jackson played keyboards on LOVE BY YOU, and I believe, also on TALKING TO THE WALL.
I saw Joan in the "What's inside tour" here in Italy. She is a great musicians but with the band her songs were really amazing. There was Jeremy Meek on bass.... incredible player.
