      I’m an Australian Commando, just to enlist into this division is lethal especially through training. We had to do special forces training to get through. We were completely sleep deprived and dehydrated. It is as bad as it sounds, but war isn’t as lethal as it sounds there have only been 42 casualties in this and last year combined for the Australian Army. The Australian Commandos have had the most casualties yet, but people enlist into frontline roles like this to join Special Forces. Currently I am trying to enter the Special Air Service Regiment.

    Actual Navy SEAL PST standards:
    500 Meter Swim - 11:30 or less
    Push-ups in 2 min - 52
    Sit-ups in 2 min - 54
    Pull-ups in 2 min - 8
    1.5 Mile Run - 10:30 or less
    Of course getting these minimum scores can get you to BUD/s (SEAL training), but it is extremely rare to get through training with these scores. Exceeding the standard is the standard.
    Optimum scores for graduating BUD/s
    500 Meter Swim - 9:00 minutes or less
    Push-ups - 80
    Sit-ups - 100
    Pull-ups - 18
    1.5 Mile Run - 9:00 minutes or less

      @John2r1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@pabloorozco300 That's a joke. When you graduate Basic Combat Training your basic level Infantry. When you graduate your AIT you have your job skills. In modern warfare if your military deployed to a warzone your a target of the enemy.
      Oh and btw when a vehicle goes down and needs recovery it's the Mechanics that go recover it.
      In convoys everyone is infantry, everyone is a combatant defending the convoy . Ane everyone is a target to the enemy.
      Soldiers like myself know this and accept the fact that every time we are deployed there is a chance we don't make it home. MOS means nothing in combat to the enemy.

    • @John2r1
      @John2r1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's honestly not all that bad . Your Nephew is on a base we have built up . The pay may not be as much as he would like to have. But he has a place to sleep, food and all the things required. Not to mention Tokyo is the fashion capital of Asia and one of the most high tech cities in the world. Cost of living is high but the military does supplement that on his paycheck. If he is complaining about not having money its because he is young and is blowing it all on the weekends when he gets to leave base on passes.
      So tell him to start budgeting better.
      I've been part of the military for a total of 6 years now. The military pay isn't bad but your not going to get rich either in the military.

    It’s not wear “either the maroon or scarlet beret”. Pararescue wears the maroon beret. CCT wears the scarlet beret. Also I do have another thing. Pararescue is actually under everything. PJ’s are under ACC, AFSOC, SOCOM and the other commands under the Air Force. All Air Force Special Warfare is “special operations”. I don’t see why you separated PJ from special operations because it is indeed a special warfare job and as a PJ you can put a package in to join a special tactics squadron saying you pass the training involved to be special tactics. Same goes for TACP. TACP is special operations but they are tasked with conventional forces until they put a package in to become special tactics. Being special tactics doesn’t make you special operations. It’s signing that contract to hold a special warfare job and then completing the training. Special tactics is solely Air Force and each STS consists of PJ’s, TACP’s and CCT’s mainly.
